Don't worry your self on that for now. Just gather other necessary documents, do your medical and police clearance and send your application. After that fo ahead and get your tax clearance ready per adventure it's further required by your CO then you won't difficulties in presenting it. I did not send mine but am already processing all my tax clearance as far back as I can get. Best of luck too.

Firewall02:

@Akinshokun have you gotten ITA, if so medicals and police clearance can be done in a day.

Your worry should be getting below documents ahead of time:

References on company letterhead - from previous employers.
Pay slips.
Letters of appointment/promotion.

Hi Jmakinde and The Nairaland Family,

I am also a quiet observer in this thread.

I am presently in step 8.

I would like to know if I can do the medicals and police clearance while my NZQA IQA assessment is completed.

My Wife's NZQA preliminary assessment is ready.

I am trying to avoid all delays possible.

I am also a Functional Consultant under the skill Shortage of ICT Business Analyst with over 10 years of experience ..

jmakinde:
Hi Guys, i just got wind of this forum even though i had earlier proceeded with my own process without any help or assistance. See highlights of what i have done so far and where i am presently:

1. Did my assessment and found out i had 165 points.

2. Applied to NZQA for PRE for my Msc qualification only being the highest qualification i am claiming point for and also sat for my IELTS exams.
3. Submitted my EOI on 18th January 2019.

4. Got selected and got my ITA on 23rd of january 2019.

5. I was giving 4 months to submit full applications along with supporting documents.

6. Applied to NZQA for my full qualification assessment for both my Bsc and Msc which took some time due to transcript issues with our Nigeria universities.

7. Applied to NZQA for my wife's qualification assessment too since am claiming points for that also.

8. Did my medicals along with my entire family. Note you only have 2 recommended hospitals in nigeria one in abuja and the other in Lagos.

9. Did my Police clearance at alagbon in Ikoyi. You will get your report same day.

10. Gathered all relevant employment references from all the places i have worked before since am claiming points for over 10 years in my EOI.

11. Marriage certificate.

12. I also have to proof i own my wife using my house address number you both receive correspondences together or individually. photos of important events in your marriage life, Air tickets and Hotels reservation of vacation trip you both went for etc.

13. All other documents as requested in the ITA letter.

14. The document gathering process has eaten deep into the 4 months giving to me but eventually i got everything ready at the nip of time.

15. Submitted my application via DHL on April 25th 2019.

16. My application got to the processing center in Manukau Auckland after the 3rd day.

17. My Application was vetted and lodged into their system on 2nd May 2019.

18. My original IELTS results along with 6 photos were returned back to me by mail. Please note any document you are sending and is not the original must be notarized page by page and not just the front page only.

19. I am currently on queue awaiting my application to be assigned to a Case Officer (CO) which depends on so many factors that is currently responsible for the current delay in visa assignment backlogs issues they are facing now.

The initial process was that it takes up to 4 months before the co will be allocated but i guess am already 4 months today from when my application was lodged. However it could take up to 6 months or more. It obvious many nigerians are not taking up this route but instead using student visa which is still a good option.

Quest to seek others in my situation from nigeria led me to this thread even though i have been in Nairaland forum long enough. I hope my experience so far can inspire others too willing to take my route to start early by taking the first step. Nothing Good comes so easy and i would advise @Hartson not to give up his dream and still give it a chance for the passion to be ignited once again.

Thank and best Regards. I will keep the house updated as i progress further.

These are the things to consider when applying for schools, the distance to job areas and if you know any one around there, but i still doubt that there is no Nigerian in Daegu, there has nevr been a place where Naija people no dey, so i advice you to wait till weekend and find big bars or clubs to search for Naija people because most of them will definitly be at work and be coming back weekends because of Korea long hrs of work.
Nigerians normally go to Daegu for business, just to buy used things anyways lets me call you on Kakao talk.

Thanks brother .

I have gotten a SIM now and have sent you the nummber on Kakao Talk .
I haven't meet any Nigerian at all and non in my school presently.

Please I am expecting your call sir .

Thanks

Abuja always if you live close to the place.
Documents are listed on the embassy's website now
Paddy mi, baba oni miliki smiley Bros, I doubt any school will admit
you cause of visa wahala ooo.
Before they receive your docs, decide on your admission, issue
your docs, then you apply at the embassy and arrival / placement test
stuffs, time don go baba mi.
But again, there are some schools that has November entrance
so you can look them up.
They are among the ones you shared the other time.

Thanks Sheyi

I would like to ask if you have an idea of the visa application process .
Is it dropbox or interview like ?
And what should i really take note of and what the success rate of visa issuance ..

Thanks Bros

I'm not accadolar nor Igwe, but here is my suggestion.

Renting houses in Deagu or Incheon or Seoul or busan is stressful. Korean landlords take deposits on every rentage.
For daegu, budget 300$ per month excluding utilities and maybe 5000$ deposit. You'll collect your deposit of you don't spoil anything when you pack out.
Since a school gave you admission, apply for dormitory and find a house for the coming semester while living in the school dorm.
The deposit is a major issue for every body trying to rent houses in Kimchiland!

Good Morning House
Good Morning Numerouuuno

Thanks for your Swift and prompt contribution.
I would like to ask the following questions:
1.Job opportunities in that area
2.What document should i get ready for the embassy
3.Which embassy is better in Lagos and Abuja .

Thanks for you time

Visa rules eased for foreign graduates
음성듣기
By Jung Min-ho

The Ministry of Justice eased visa restrictions Tuesday for foreigners with a Korean college degree in an effort to keep more international talent in the country.

The policy change will enable foreigners who have earned bachelor’s or higher degrees in Korea to get an E-7 (designated activities) visa, even if what they do in the workplace is unrelated to their major. Previously, that relevancy was required.

A GPA of at least 3.0, a national certificate and recommendations of professors are no longer required from foreigners to apply for a D-10 (job seeking) visa.

Also, the length of stay for D-10 visa holders has been extended from one to two years.

Meanwhile, obtaining permanent residency in Korea has become easier.

Foreigners who received their bachelor’s degree in science or engineering in Korea are now eligible to get permanent residency if they lived here for more than three years and their annual salary is higher than Korea’s per capita gross national income (GNI). In 2013, that was $26,205.

Previously, the opportunity for permanent residency was limited to foreigners that studied one of only nine programs in college ― IT, technology management, nanotechnology, digital electronics, biotechnology, transport, new material, environment and energy.

Those who earned their master’s or a higher degree in Korea are eligible to get permanent residency regardless of their majors, if they lived in Korea more than three years and their annual salary is higher than the GNI per capita.

The D-9 (international trading) visas will be issued for foreigners that invested more than 100 million won ($91,000) into Korea as long as they have a master’s or higher degree from here.

Degree-seeking students in their master’s or doctor’s program are now allowed to bring two of their immediate family members or spouse to Korea after the first six months.

The number of foreign students in Korea has increased to 86,410 in 2014, a 6.7 percent increase from 80,985 in 2009.

“We expect more foreign talent to help boost the economy,” a ministry official said.

As part of its efforts to tackle the nation’s declining labor force, the ministry is expected to continue to open more doors for foreign talent.

In December, the government said it also plans to relax the current points-based system to give permanent residency to more talented foreign workers.

As the nation’s birth rate remains stubbornly low at 1.19 children per woman, many concerns have been raised that it could seriously erode the national economy’s growth potential. The rate is one of the lowest in the world, along with Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and Singapore.

The government believes that the working age population is 73 percent of the nation’s total this year ― the highest rate ever, but it is expected to decrease from 2017.

If the government’s efforts to boost the birth rate continue to be futile, many experts say that the only other way to keep the country afloat is attracting more foreign talent.
