Hi My parents , my family begged her come back. She no gree begged her broda gave me no room to talk they all believed her fake stories , I had many relationships but all fake looking for who to carry their load , tried single mothers their bills on me , luck smiled on me when I met a genuine Akwaibom lady who put smiles on my face she a divorcee too so after sharing our stories we felt we need complement each others happiness so after some months begged her move into my house , my kids love her happily call her mummy so I'm letting go old memories , so now I'm happy ex family calling my uncles , aunties but is too late as incant let go my present relationship and I'm scared as her second coming back is to ruin me or I assume but I can't . I'm really grateful for the nairaland community. The only issue i'm still battling with right now is how to move on, i'm trying everyday to forget the past, but the more i try, the more it's becoming fresh in my heart and the pains too. The eldest son of the family (her half brother) told me and another in law that we'd be the one to pay for mortuary expenses and casket, and when the burial is getting closer they'd give us a list of things to buy and we'd both bring one goats each.

To be brutally honest I wasn't mad because of this latest expense, I got furious immediately and right on the spot because of the pressure my wife pressured me into getting married to her, by now I'd have been totally free of these unnecessary expenses. More than 19 of her sisters, both biological and half sisters that has given birth, no single expense was listed for their man that they got pregnant for and has a child for. But I and the other in law that paid dowry are the one going through these unnecessary expenses.

So immediately he told me about everything, I charged at my wife right on the spot, right in front of her mom, her brothers, her sisters and some of her friends that came for condolence visit. I got so furious and started shouting at the top of my voice, I reminded her how she forced me into marriage that I'm not in anyway prepared and ready for, both physically, psychologically, emotionally, financially. (I have been reminding her regarding this almost on a daily basis and whenever we are quarreling.

I reminded her how she threatened me with suicide and our of fear of the unknown I wasted almost 4m in getting married to her. I told her that I'd have been free of these expenses if not for her pressure.

Immediately she burst into tears, and started crying endlessly.

Her mom and sisters started yelling at me and I yelled back at all of them. They told me I met her a Virgin and now she's no longer good for me (truly, the whole family thought that I was the one that took her virginity) My wife and I agreed to keep it a secret, but the constant remainder from her mom and sisters made me let the cat out of the bag, I told them that I didn't met her a Virgin that she has already started having sex when I met her, they didn't believe me but with my tone, I know they'd.

I also made mentioned that I'm not buying any goat or paying for mortuary or taking any list from them. That it's their dad and they should take care of every responsibilities, after all he has uncountable children, why putting some of the expense on me? There's this school in my area that started in 2017 with a small bungalow. Before it was just a Nursery and primary school but as of today the building is already a 4 storey building because they now have both secondary school.

From the look of this building you will know that its a disaster waiting to happen. There are visible cracks around the building which they always use plaster and paint to cover. I want to report it to the appropriate authority but I don't know how to do so.

It's terrible the way buildings are now being constructed as if they is no agency across the country that inspects building construction. I'm in a CBN Quarters built in the '80s and you could feel and see the solidity in this building that it was built to last following every details. The material used are solid that it's now making me to imagine whether it's the same white people that still built this? Since we attribute anything good to them...


Nowadays buildings are riddled with fissures and even the walls are always pealing off, buildings of less than 4 years ooo, but this building of '80s has none of this issue.


The govt agency incharge of building construction and inspection across the country should be overhauled. Terrible people who cut corners to obtain their COREN certificates are now the ones incharge

Hi is not about COREN,Coren is rubbish I'm a contractor and a consultant and funny thing we attach 2 much significant to certifications than experience,you having your Coren does not mean you have the experience,I have 23 years experience in Engineering ,with my Coren just for jobs noting else,After a structural drawing done ,you see quacks on the roads stamping drawings and taking to approval and funny thing the public servants in various ministries with no training or experience approve the drawings ,next is movement to site with the quack approved drawing next calamity sets in,I don't see why somebody builds a house with several millions of naira but can't pay the consultants million plus
COREN is money oriented and not professionally oriented if I have the power I scrap it,have u ever seen their monitoring team ,how can a fresh graduate be monitoring a hotel complex yes with COREN but mechanical engineering. Lots of rubbish out there.
