Yestetday been 20-08-2025, there was a major disruption along the Giri–Gwagwalada-Lokoja road caused by the National Union of Tanker Drivers, one of the strongest transport unions in Nigeria. The blockage, which lasted for over 10 hours, was reportedly due to a misunderstanding between a tanker driver and some soldiers.

The incident caused severe traffic congestion and hardship for commuters. Many passengers were left stranded for long periods, and in some cases, forced to trek long distances before securing alternative means of transportation. Personally, I had to alight from the vehicle I boarded and walk approximately 5 km before finding another vehicle to continue my journey.

This situation highlights the urgent need for better conflict resolution mechanisms between security agencies and transport unions, to prevent future occurrences that disrupt public movement and economic activities.

May God have mercy on Nigeria.

What a joke of a university. I guess this is a glorified secondary school. If indeed there was no investigation prior to the expulsion. How can a VC say as long as anyone is invited it implies such student is involved? I guess the school was suppose to do their due diligence and not dwell on assumptions. I no blame them at all. As soon as i saw that the school was from Kogi, Yahaya Bello comes to mind. I doubt he even develop the school or pay their salary that might be the reason the school authority was dwelling on assumptions. Like YAYA BELLO LIKE THE VC. Bunch of jokers.
