TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 11:52am On Apr 07, 2024
My PD is August 2022 and DQ March 2023. I am yet to receive IL for EB2 NIW.
OlaILJ:
Please, has anyone with PD (EB2) between August 2022 and November 2022 received IL? Or, if anyone here has the current update on the PD for EB2 that is receiving attention at the Lagos consulate, should kindly post it here. Thank you.
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 11:43pm On Apr 05, 2024
Thecassanova:
Yes in SA once your PD is current, within 3 months you get IL. You could have just left the address in SA, then your family will follow to join.
I should think that the follow join will take time for my family to join me. Please can you explain to me? Is there anything I can do about it now?
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 2:52pm On Apr 05, 2024
Mine was within one month.
Adnman:
Hello, Please, how long does it usually take to receive a receipt number from USCIS after filing the I-140 outside the US? My application was delivered to the USCIS three weeks ago, but I haven’t received anything yet, not even the e-notification of application acceptance.

The monthly Visa issuances by post for February 2024 is out. According to the report, about 29 Visas were issued to E2 class.

Could it be that IL was issued in January 2024?

My PD is August 2022, which has been current since 4 months.

TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 1:29pm On Apr 05, 2024
I pray it comes quickly.
KemsyDA:
Wow, just similar situation with mind. I transferred from SA because SA refused to give my family members visas to join me despite being a PR in SA. So sad we are stuck here.....
The waiting is tiring, but hopefully, the IL will come....
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 11:19am On Apr 05, 2024
Yes, you are right.
I am a permanent resident in SA, but my family is in Nigeria. My initial address was changed from SA to Nigeria after EB2 NIW approval due to the challenge of applying Visa for my family.
Most people who applied from SA have gotten their Visa and are now in the US. The process seems to be faster in SA.
Thecassanova:
Unfortunately, You cannot transfer unless you hold sort of residency/citizenship in the country you’re transferring to.
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 8:02am On Apr 05, 2024
Good day, All I'm wondering the possibility of transferring a case from Lagos to another country.
I learned that some people on family Visa are transferring to Sierra Leone.

My PD has been current for months yet no IL.

Everything for Naija na prayer and fasting.
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 6:23pm On Mar 12, 2024
Yes, I evaluated my qualification with WES.
perma:
Thank you..
Do I need to evaluate with WES?
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 10:43pm On Mar 10, 2024
I applied through the service of Chen attorney. Although some people applied without an attorney. You can read through the threads and contact those who applied without an attorney. Alternatively, you can send your CV to Chen attorney also known as Wegreen or Ellis Porter for free evaluation. If you read carefully, you will find details of different attorneys.
perma:
Good day everyone.

Pls I have been able to scan through the page.
I will like to ask some questions.

Do I qualify for this EB2 NIW route.
1. I am a Pharmacist with over 5 years experience
2. I have my MSC
3. I have a Publication

And pls what is the first stage or can I get a guide to every stage for this route.
Thank you.
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 5:21pm On Mar 10, 2024
Amen!
TinFoil100:
Thanks for the heads up. fingers crossed to see if IL comes out this month!
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 11:48am On Mar 01, 2024
I hope so too.
wole001:
I just hope they send ILs en-mass for EB2 this month, they only issued 134 visas for EB2 while 493 visa was issues for EB3 in last fiscal year.
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 11:46am On Mar 01, 2024
You are correct.
TinFoil100:
Yeah, 49 in Lagos, then additional 10 in diaspora. That gets you thinking 49 total approved for september through December 2022 DQ. The way the consulate was rescheduling for almost a quarter, you would think they scheduled like 200 appointments for E2 alone. The US consulate service delivery in Lagos is pathetic to say the least But what can one say? grin grin grin
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 7:37am On Mar 01, 2024
The total number of E2 issued at Lagos Consulate in January 2024 was 49 according to the monthly immigrant visa issuance report.

TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 1:41pm On Feb 28, 2024
I think is not necessary to have the original I-707 with you during the interview. Although I am yet to receive my IL, but information from friends that have gone ahead indicated that it is not needed.
TinFoil100:
quick question to the house:-
I. Do you have your original I-707 approval notice on hand when heading out for the interview?
II. Do we need it when going for interview (consular processing)?
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 8:22pm On Feb 15, 2024
You can write to NVC regarding any issue and they will respond to you.
Rez86:
Hello all. Greetings… first time here. I need a little clarification with the EB2 notice of action letter (approval) that we got (hubby is the petitioner, I’m a derivative beneficiary)
It says “the petition has been approved. The petition indicates that the person for who whom you are petitioning is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status”
Then the part that shows consulate has “NVC”

The concern here is, we didn’t indicate that we were in the US. We indicated consular processing. So it’s confusing why the letter says otherwise. And we still haven’t gotten any welcome email from NVC.
Priority date is 4th Jan 2024.
Is there anyone that is also filing from Nigeria with this kind of letter? Cos we checked online and saw that those doing consular processing has a different worded letter.
Someone please help 🙏🏼
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 6:57pm On Feb 02, 2024
Is well. Applying from Nigeria seems to be a great challenge. God will help us.
Rehabnation:
No news yet , I was hoping they’d pick up the pace since the last time they called people was in sept 2023 and postponed interviews till Jan 2024.
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 9:43am On Feb 02, 2024
Any news about IL? Patience no easy.
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 1:33pm On Feb 01, 2024
What is your class of Visa? Is your priority date current?
wole001:
Oh got the explanation thanks. I also share same PD month as you and i did not get a notification. Although my DQ is October 2023 could this be the reason?
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 9:55am On Feb 01, 2024
Yes, I've been current in 2 Visa bulletins, January and February 2024. This makes it 60 days. January 2024 Visa bulletin was released December 2023 and February Visa bulletin January 2024.
wole001:
Wait, you became current in January 2024 bulletin, how come you received the 60 days notice? Is there something i am missing?
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 9:42am On Jan 31, 2024
It was 6:30 am WAT
TinFoil100:
let me guess 12:30am EST ~ 6:30am WAT ?
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 6:54am On Jan 31, 2024
You are right. I've received the 60 days notice this morning.
TinFoil100:
if your PD wasn't current in the last 60 days, that may be a reason out of so many other reason (only speaking from little information i got from your response).
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 11:23am On Jan 30, 2024
You can Google their name and look online to get any information you want. I didn't communicate with them through phone. All communication was via email. I've attached a screenshot of their information.
Danjd:
Thanks so much , can you give me there email address and phone number please

TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 11:44am On Jan 29, 2024
Hi Daniel, I would advise you read through the thread thoroughly. I used Chen attorney also known as Wegreen. You can send your CV to them for free evaluation. After which you can decide to use their services or not.

Congratulations! This is the news I've been longing for. It gives assurance to those of us who are waiting for IL. Did they give reasons for the delay in interview?
Koldfuzhion:
The interview went well, I received the visa approval. I got to the Lagos consulate 30mins before the interview time. The CGI folks checked my appointment letter to ensure that I was scheduled for the day. Once confirmed, I was allowed in and told to arrange my documents in the order described in the interview invitation mail.

When I got into the visa hall. I was initially called for document verification at a window. All of my original documents were collected including my original school certificates. These were compared with the information that I submitted to NVC which had been mailed to them.

Once done, I was told to sit and wait till my number was called. There was no particular order to the way that applicants were called for the interview with the consular officers. After an hour, I was called by one of the officers.Below are some of the questions he asked:

Have you ever lived in any other country for more than 6 months?
Are you currently employed and where do you work?
How many years of experience do you have?
Where are you going to in the US and what are you going to do there?
Do you have any professional certifications along with your academic credentials?
Have you ever changed your name?
Do you have other dependents that aren't applying with you?

Once he was done with his notes, he mentioned that I had been approved and he gave me a white slip. He held on to my passport, but returned all my original documents that I had submitted during the initial screening.

The main takeaway is that even though the consular officer is not readjudicating the petition, they're validating the legitimacy of the application from an immigration perspective.

Most importantly, ensure that you're consistent in all of the information provided, as I saw a lot of people get entangled by providing inconsistent or incomplete information to the consular which led to the dreaded 221g refusal.

Wishing you all the best in your journey.

TinFoil100:
going through the thread, could not help but address this case of ignorance. The 90% based in Nigeria statement is confusing , unnecessary, silly and low yield info at best. It is ignorant statement like this that affects engagement on this thread. I would have expected mary to address this issue better than the lukewarm way it was addressed.Anyways, If you don't want consulate cases here, Visajourney and discord page no far.

There was the usual 60 day reminder sent back on Dec 29th per usual everyone affected kept mum grin grin grin grin. For better update, everyone need to chip in. I am sure everyone got notified. @Koldfuzhion @Dmowumi @rajkuman and others with interview dates in January any update on interview? IF IL is to be sent expect 4th week January -1st week february for March interview dates.Else, the winter continues grin
I'm not sure if I have received any 60 days reminder. My PD is current for the second time and I have yet to receive IL.
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 8:34am On Jan 16, 2024
I'm yet to receive the IL.
wole001:
Any update on the IL now since you are current? Also, has everyone who received IL last year and interview postponed to January done their interviews?
TravelRe: USA Employment-based Immigration (EB-1,EB-2,EB-3 Visa) by Aku660: 12:09pm On Jan 13, 2024
Icesnow:
Hello! Does it mean I'm not qualified if my master degree is less than 5 years and my Bachelors is more than 10 years with over 5 years work experience? Pls explain . Thanks
I would advise you send your CV to an immigration attorney for evaluation to determine your eligibility. The evaluation is free.

You can decide to use the attorney or not after the evaluation. At least most of your questions will be answered.

I used Chen attorney also known as Wegreen for my EB2 NIW, which was approved.

There are different attorneys.

Those that got the last batch of IL (sent Sept 1, 2023) are yet to have their interview as the date have been changed several times. Their new date is this month. Hopefully, that batch is attended to this month, then we can expect the release of IL.
Okay, I'm wondering if IL has ever been released after the first week of the month.
