I agree with you. The 2026 budget is based on crude oil been sold at $64.84 per barrel. So we're presently making more than that because crude oil is sold at over $80 per barrel
How long have you sold crude for $80? About a week? Do you know if the status quo will remain until the end of the 2026 fiscal year?

Master strategist that took 3years to fill ambassador role. The so called builder of Lagos.

When you do more of politicking over actual Governance. This is exactly what will happen to you

Rubbish
I don't understand you people and criticism.
If he was busy with politics, he would have had time to compile the list of Ambassadorial nominees but. If he had done this a while ago, you would have complained that he left governance for politics.

happney65:
You my friend you are an olodo as filling of ambassadorial posts is actual Governance and not politicking. It is a serious position that serious governments fill in almost immediately they get into power

And they fill it with Men and women of timber and caliber and not clowns like Reno and FFK.
So it was politicking that he's using to bring down inflation, stabilise dollar? Build all the highways he's working on.

1. One bottle of soft drink used to cost less than 2 naira self. Or kobo self. And back then , the economy was very hard. Even middle class families in the 1980s bought drinks occasionally self.

2. I can even remember when sweets were less than one naira. Then, SAP was sapping us well well.

3. Biscuits self ,same prices

4. I can even recall when 20 naira was real money self.

Don't vote for anyone who tells you they will bring Nigeria back to those prices though.

Vote for leaders who have a plan to industrialize our country. Industrialization means a strong economy. Please abeg don't vote for apc or tinubu. No way.

But remember that even when soft drink was one naira or less, not everyone could afford it. People were still saying country hard back then.
Thank you. To some people it's them against the Federal government, that kind of battle makes us lose focus for important things.

It's like we only have two groups, the ones that support the government and the ones against the government. We rarely learn from neutrals that will say it without sentiments.

I was aware when Abacha was the president. Coke was less than 10 naira but people didnt afford it more than we are doing now.
PoliticsRe: There Was A Country…” (Nigerian Nostalgia Thread) by alanto: 3:58pm On Mar 08
Even that 25 naira was high. I bought coke for way less but that 25 you bought it that time isn't different from now because minimum wage was like 5,500 in 2002. Let's assuming that's when they were selling coke for 25 naira. There was no time our minimum wage bought two bags of rice. You need to understand that we earn more with inflation. Yes, something's are really expensive right now but so will your own charge be for a service rendered, if you offer a service.

That is not true of my Nigeria. I can tell you the flaws.
All there ones no de reason, they need a chatbox to tell them about their own country. Nigeria is not a failed country, not especially now that Tinubu is the president.

All we can do now is for God to keep us alive to see Nigeria in 10 to 20 years.

Given our population, Nigeria should be hitting over $2 trillion now. Unfortunately, Tinubu and his senseless supporters have ensured we struggle at $300 billion after six decades of independence
I swear. Anything Tinubu can not destroy does not exist. After ruling since independence, which is 66 years years. And we are still struggling. I really think he have overstayed in Aso Rock. 65 years is not beans o. Or when did Tinubu become president again?

But true, true, Asiwaju and Wike are the only two people I know that don't buy corn or fry akara for votes and they still do better than all these people washing public toilet.

PoliticsRe: ADC, NNPP Spreading Misinformation About Electoral Act 2026 - Onanuga by alanto: 5:59am On Feb 27
givedemwotowoto:
ADC, NNPP, and PDP need to formally join forces. Nigerians are not waiting to rush them like they’re thinking, they have to build the momentum. The last election should be a lesson to them.
Joining forces to what end? To remove Tinubu and replace him with who.

Every politician in Nigeria today knows Tinubu is not their mate, academically, or any other way want to measure it. Have more sense than Obi and Atiku. It's been 3 years and you have not heard of any issue in APC. They have majority in both senate and house of reps. 32 governors and they all follow Tinubu as a leader. You'll see that there's no fraction in APC whatsoever. But Obi had Otti, Obidients and LP and he has lost all of that. Only the IPOB wing of Obidients remain.
