Mindlog: If you are using London as comparison then use Lagos for Nigeria.
If you must use Kaduna then compare it with cities like Liverpool with cheaper rent, where £300 gets one a room in a shared house, bills inclusive. Go to spareroom.co.uk, there are also £600 rooms in London, utilities bills inclusive.
By the way, monthly bus & tram pass in London is £94.90.
Unlimmited calls, texts and nternet subscription to phone is less than £25 monthly and WiFi connection in most houses is part of the rent.
The £1,640 is after deductions, not gross pay for someone working 40hrs per week.
So N600 can take care of an adult feeding well in a day, in Kaduna? He was even fare with his comparism. Nobody on basic salary rent a house higher than 120k a year in Nigeria. Matter of fact it can be as low as 48k a year. He was talking about 30k to 50k a month. It's unrealistic. Your earning must be in hundreds of thousands to contemplate renting a N500k per anum. |

Xisnin: What a load of crap. Those foreign leaders didn't come to Nigeria to beg for investment from Nigeria. No. They came to Nigeria with large ships guns and soldiers. They killed our ancestors into submission and loot but natural and our own man made resources. The diamond on the English crown was stolen from Africa. Imagine we are still receiving Benin artifacts in 2024. When you support this white people against your people feel a little ashamed while you are at it. If they were so good to us. Why did we ask for independence? Why did we celebrate independence till this day? |

Your moribund Odualand will expire in a week with your laughable receipts from cocoa sells. Parasites incapable of sustaining themselves without litching on the resources of others can not be seen questioning the mental stability of those who can.. Oya relate the message. What's self rule in selling drugs? What does self rule has to do with committing heinous crimes? |

Is like when a new child is born on that side, they'll turn the baby upside down, hold out the baby's leg and hit the head on the floor real hard. Hence the flat Ed and rubbish opinions |

CyrusVI: I thought they said Liberia was never colonized, how can they have an Independence day?
Independence from what or whom? It was created then given independence. It was created to settle freed slaves, then it was given independence some years after its creation. I think that's different from Nigeria that already have inhabitants before the arrival of the colonizers |

Politics › Re: Why The North Should Bring Back Jonathan by alanto: 3:13pm On Dec 16, 2024 |
RandomFellow: The best thing that will happen to Nigeria is having Tinubu till 2031! I have seen the baby steps, and I can tell you without mincing words that Nigeria will be great (again).
If you see countries with Visionary leaderships like China, Rwanda, etc, they did not even have such a hard job as Tinubu had in Nigeria. He needs to keep going... The tax reforms is the next, after which he should support each state when they want to do something great! Open up all the 36 states and watch Nigerians become rich!
Many young people are leaving the country because of lack of jobs, and no hope of a better life outside of Abuja, Lagos and few other states. Imagine relocating to Taraba to go make it, or going to Ebonyi because that's where your wealth is.
This was how Nigeria was about 30 years ago. My Grandfather made his wealth in Owo in Ondo state, my dad made his own in Plateau state. I'm making mine in Abuja (even though I would prefer to go to Delta state). My son can decide to go to Kebbi. Nigeria should be opened; there's so much wealth to go round... And only BAT can achieve this feat now among all the current crop of politicians we have.
PS: I was one of BAT's critics. No, I did not vote for him in the last election. Yes, I might vote for him in the next Bros i live to see the day Tinubu will become Nigeria president. I always said only him can help Nigeria. Tinubu dey reason bro. I too like the man. His vision is out of Nigeria. If you witnessed Lagos transformation and you think Tinubu doesn't know what he is doing as a president, SMH, then the person has a lot of sitting down to do. I mean make dem just sit down dey look. Na here we dey o. All of us. |

Hold your governors responsible, recall your Senate or HOR members if they are not delivering up to your expectations. There are people to apportion blames to that we will have clear conscience. |

gidgiddy: People like the above are why Nigeria is the failure it is today. They see the truth, but embrace lies. Below is what Kemi Badenoch said:
"I grew up in Nigeria and I saw firsthand when politicians are in it for themselves. When they use public money as their piggybanks, when they promise the earth and they pollute not just the earth but the whole political atmosphere with their failure to serve others.
“I grew up somewhere where the lights didn’t come on, where we ran out of fuel frequently despite being an oil-producing country.”
What is to be disputed here? Did she lie? You guys should be thanking Kemi Badenoch, she is exposing the failures of your political leaders to the world and to their shame. Whenever anybody say anything negative about SE even tho it's a small piece of land that's a part of the big Nigeria you guys will curse the person down to their generation but let someone say something negative about nigeria such person become your hero. |

yommen: It's like some people don't understand that Kemi doesn't represent Nigeria! She is not in her position to work for Nigeria. She is British on British basis, not British on Nigerian basis. Trump once said a slot of things towards Nigeria calling the a country a shithole. Many of you approved of it and even eco the word 'shithole' till this day. I'm sure if she were to be white, many will support her statements but because you feel she is Nigerian, you feel betrayed. The earliier you understand that she doesn't represent the interest of Nigeria the better. Ok. So does being a British mean you must degrade other countries? Especially the one you have family ties with? |
