My dad 6th September 2021, drove himself to the hospital on the Friday 3rd of September cos he had been having malaria symptoms for some time and has been taken treatments and it's still persistent,so he decided to go do some checkup in a local hospital,he was a very jovial and humorous character,so he was more busy catching up with everybody on the street on his was more than he cared for his health.he got there and after the checkup the doc said he had shortage of blood and will be admitted.firs time I ever heard him sleep in a hospital for about 30years now, Saturday blood was admitted and on Sunday which he was supposed to be discharged breathing changed and was moved to a specialist hospital and on Monday afternoon old man was dead.it didn't look real to to me.i left home since 2019 to lagos and my coming back to see him was his dead body in the morgue....,.the painful part is that we talked on that Friday morning before he left for the hospital and he said he was going to the village to do something but never told me he was sick cos it didn't seem serious.....since he died I hate to go emotional cos once I remember his face it will make me cry like a baby

if you check all my post bro you would see that I was once in your shoe,infact I feel like mine was even worse,but the fact that you had the courage to type all this here,it means that there is a part of you that still wants to live,it's been 7years of hell for me and funny enough it hasn't even ended,in all these calamities I still lost my dad 3 months ago but I have stopped thinking suicide and am certain it can't be like this forever......bro things haven't even changed for me yet,but am happy I didn't take my life and it will be the same for you once you erase the thoughts from your mind,this is not motivation,it's my own experience with depression I just thought I should let you know that you can never be alone and you are better than so many people out there including me.......God you are even married

I'm totally depressed and I want to end it all.
I'm not here to pretend I need help but people that knows me well knew that I've been seeking for assistance to get a job for more than a year now but it's not coming forth.
I think this will be the only way to stop the pains I'm feeling in my heart.
How can I be jobless and my mates are making it big. Even my course mates in school are achieving. I think I'm at the bottom of my mate.
Whom do I offend? What's the purpose of staying in the world with nothing to show.
I can't take a taxi to go out on my own without first treaking half of the distance to cut tfare expenses.
I've a thread on this nairaland about poultry. I've been doing well in poultry before financial crises comes in. I even have a WhatsApp group of 80+ participants that have gain more about poultry but my poultry business have fold up due to some financial crises.
I'm not just a new member here so people shouldn't think this a stunt.
I have HND certificate in civil engineering. I've seek for jobs from a lot of places, even some nairaland members have promise to help some times ago but help isn't coming forth so I've think the best option for me is to stop d pain. I can't be at the bottom of my mate while everyone is achieving good tins.
Though I'll miss my wife and son but I can't be killing myself little by little by thinking about how my life has been so useless since over 3 decades back.
I know if this happen, people/family that doesn't care about me will took step to take care of my only child (if they wish to).

I once over stayed a friend's house back in 2018,then I had issues in school that I thought I could just fix but on getting their,things became complicated,so I stayed longer than I planned and the worst was that my fund finished,and I was now feeding from the guy and his roommate,I really felt uncomfortable.i had to stay there for over a month.the funniest thing there is that both where womanizers,so my constant staying at home and no where to go always disturbed them, eventually they both had a meeting to let me know that they are tired,even though I already noticed it without them saying.after they had there meeting,that night the main guy walked up to me and told me and he taught maybe I would feel bad not knowing I was even grateful cos it's it easy to harbor someone in school for over a month,I had to use all the means available to manipulate my transport fair and zoom off the next day and I thanked God I did

I once almost gave up my life with sniper,it was a terrible time in my life,infact it was a thread here on nairaland and I got so many calls from people on nairaland.you can even check my post here,it's not always easy with depression but if you go through it and don't take your life,you sure will be happy you didn't make the grave mistake...to be honest I haven't even been able to get through my difficulties but the thoughts is long gone
