Romance / When To Call It Love by aleepac(m): 12:11pm On Jun 12, 2008
What’s your love story; is it all heart broken, they don’t look real, they are always too good to be true, they hardly come my way, I don’t look good for them or even I am not always lucky. Relationships comes in many forms we just have to look closer most of the times we look for a name for it but its always hard to name them but believe me in life everything has a name you just have to be sure you are giving it the right name.

Every heart is capable of falling in love no matter what; Adolf Hitler was in love, Osama Bin Ladan has a wife, and the ugliest guy known (King Kong) had an admirer. All I am trying to say is whoever you are, whatever you are, or wherever you are, you have the right to love and be loved because love is blind and we all know that. But the question is when do we call it love?

Now obliviously we may not be able to answer this question but we can look for the answer because most times it’s always in front of us, we just fail to see it but if we listen and look carefully it is always there, love is not against any of us or it’s defiantly not running from us.

You will want to know if he or she is for real, just looking for a one night stand or just using you as gate way to something or someone else. Listen to the voice, look for the actions, and most importantly listen for the emotions towards you.

You can check for these little signs like when he is talking with you he always wants to know if you are ok, when she sees you she is happy, he always try his best to include you in all he does, when you ask for something even if its not to come from him he always wants you to have it, when she is down or depress she looks for you first, at all times he tries to keep you comfortable, when you are not happy she is disturb, when you need a shoulder he provides his lap or she provides her lap, when he looks at you he sees you and not what others see in you, when you are upset with him he tries all his best to make you understand, when you want him he tries his possible best to be there, when she is not with you she wants know where you are, and above all when you are together you never wish to depart and at this point you can call it love. These are just some of the basic signs it include many other or even may not include any of these but surely more than five of these.

Politics / When To Call A Man A Great Man by aleepac(m): 12:03pm On Jun 12, 2008
When dose a man deserve to be MAN? And when do we give him the title A GREAT MAN? These names have two different meaning depending on how you look at them. A man is when you get to a certain point in age and you are able to do things accordingly because even if you get to the point in age without being able to do some certain things you are still not a man. A MAN will stand up and fight for the truth not always physically, I have seen so many men boosting of what they can do and what they have done. History has it that ‘only men have the physical power to fight a man’ but things have changed, today women, boys and girls stand and defeat men even in their stand. Some men even run when they get the chance to. A GREAT MAN has nothing to do with your age or gender as time has proven history wrong. But then who do we refer to as GREAT MAN? A MAN will give you when he is able to, but a GREAT MAN will give you so much and try to satisfy you even when he is almost unable to. A GREAT MAN will drop tears just to see others smile, a GREAT MAN will stand up to protect others even if he must fall doing it, a GREAT MAN will give and expect nothing in return because he gives when he knows you need, but a MAN gives when he wants to be known as a man. A MAN’s name dies with him but a GREAT MAN’s name live long after him.

One just don’t wake up one morning and decide to be a GREAT MAN, yes it is so simple to be a GREAT MAN because it has nothing to do with your age but your deeds but yet it is difficult because a GREAT MAN walks and men follows his foot steps even if they pretended not to they still find themselves there. Ten years ago we lost a MAN, yes we gave him the title MAN because then we were blind, the saying that goes ‘You don’t know what have, until you don’t have what you had.’ This was a man that gave us so much yet we needed too much, we are humans especially Nigerians so much is never enough, ten year ago in Nigeria we had free Education, free Medication, Affordable shelter and above all beautiful roofs, all these provided to us by one man, one man taken away from us by death thou we are not angry with death and definitely not with his Master because He said “from him we came and to him we shall return”.

So many unfortunate efforts have being made to kill the name of this GREAT MAN but ten years after his death they are still unable to clean his name from the walls of this country. Late Gen. Sani Abacha today is a name in Nigerian encyclopedia, I have not read that much about him but I know too much about him, he died June 8th 1998 on a peaceful Monday morning then I was 14 years old. Today look for a 6 years old Nigerian that has not benefited from his good Governance, ask a 4 years old Nigerian he would point out the great man for you, because if his or her birth was not on Late Gen. Sani Abacha’s PTF hospital bed then the school bus must have a PTF tag if not the school books are tagged ‘not for sale PTF’ so much he gave us but too less we return to him. Why?

Don’t you see that today the price of a liter of petrol is 10 times higher than Abacha’s PTF and we are still looking for shelter, those roads that leads to our villages and homes with tags PTF are now turning into monsters killing our love ones, those green PTF blankets in our hospitals still remains now opening doors for Mosquitoes to take on our sick friends, today Nigeria contribute highly to global warming because every home and office in Nigeria uses generator as source of electricity.

Some will say I am only able to point out PTF, yes I agree and that is because PTF gave everything and like I said “a GREAT MAN will give and expect nothing in return because he gives when he knows you need” and that was exactly what Late Gen. Sani Abacha did with PTF so I ask when does a MAN deserve the title a GREAT MAN? Late Gen. Sani Abacha is not just a GREAT MAN but a LEGEND and today I beg of you all lets join hands tell your family members, tell your neighbors and tell your friends please pray for his peaceful soul and may The Almighty bless you as you do Amin

Politics / Re: Nigeria Is 47 Today, Come Let Celebrate Together by aleepac(m): 2:54am On Oct 01, 2007
We should be pleased our great country is 47 we should be please our great country is still alive we should thank God for today but CELEBRATION? that is out of the queation. I mean do you red the papers, they repeat phrases like "Our Young Country", "Our Country is still growing", and so on. Believe me I don't know when this country will grow but I have an Uncle who is 43 yrs old with three children, you want to know the funny thing 'He has grown' and if a country is still growing or is being refer to as young at the age of 47. Then I don't know what I will call my old uncle at home but today if I refer to him as boy, he will reply me with a very heavy slap on my face.
But the papers are not wrong, because we are young, and yes we are young; when the crime in our country is growing faster than the secuirity, yes we are young if the number of unemployement is growing higher than the number of undergraduate; yes we are young when a citizen of this country uses not more than 2 hours of electricity a day, yes we young when the elections are being decided on phone calls and not at the polls, yes we are young when those who are to think about the homeless Nigerian are spending upto N630million on their houses believe me we are young and not just young but we are yet to start growing.

Poems For Review / What Kind Of Poem Do Normally Read? (improvised Journey) by aleepac(m): 8:22pm On Aug 22, 2006
IMPROVISED JOURNEY - HASSAN SANI
I sat up at the tip of my ship.
And I look straight swirling by my ship
At the edges of the sea
I saw the sea kissing the sky
As their intriguing relationship betray the sky
I drift through the blue adrift
But where do I skim?
My hands long to touch the grits of the land

Oh now I can feel my feet
Whiffing the sands of the sea
And just when I was extricate to the dry from the wet
The semblance of the green-district swirled me
And the gargantuan greens I awed
Is conceivably a mile away from me

I wish to settle down for a rest
But the arcane of my idyllic dream-land
Is growing some tall green hair
The arcane of my idyllic hut
Is showing me some mysterious monster
The arcane of my idyllic shelter
Is turning my dreams into nightmare

I look back and I saw the flame of my home
Oh I have travelled a very long journey
But with my improvise journey
I can still see the smoke from my home
Oh I can’t go back to feel the intent on my own.
