If it has been registered and used in Nigeria for more than 6 years, it may no longer be needed.
AutosRe: Iveco Electrician Needed Urgently by Alexgray(m): 11:33am On Feb 11, 2020
My guess is there is a shut off switch somewhere in the vehicle that needs to be reset due to the batteries being changed. U may have triggered it by connecting the battery terminals wrongly. I may be wrong though

Car TalkRe: What does The Law Says Concerning HACKNEY Permit by Alexgray(m): 9:42pm On Feb 04, 2020
pattybf:
Any vehicle registered, either commercial or private (registration) for the purpose of haulage of people or goods is required to have hackney permit.

Recently, most commercial vehicle owners have preferred to opt for private registration and obtain hackney permit as a license to carry goods or passengers. Reason is the current high cost of road worthinesss which will give them only six months if registered with commercial numbered plate.
Haulagesadnoun) commercial transport of goods.
You can only transport people and haul goods.

Only vehicles with red number plates (commercial) should require hackney permit and road worthinesss to expire in 6 months.

But welcome to Nigeria, where vio ask for road worthinesss cert for a brand new car and claims it was registered in a fleet and not private.
Car TalkRe: How Do I Buy A Car It’s My First Time! by Alexgray(m): 6:46pm On Jan 26, 2020
BarrSly:
Ok my best bet is the 2007 Camry i4

Thanks a lot boss... I’ll just use over the counter transfer if I decide to use naija car dealers.
Make a bank transfer via internet or via app.
Include the VIN and vehicle details in the remarks or description
That alone is a receipt for you.
Car TalkRe: Toyota Camry 2007-2009 OIL BURN ISSUE by Alexgray(m): 6:37pm On Jan 26, 2020
BarrSly:
That’s true boss.. however it’s not within my budget that’s why.
Well, you might have to manage the 2007-2009 model then. The oil burn is noticeable when the mileage is above 100k. Since you won't be making much distance trips, the oil burn would be somehow negligible. After observing your regular oil changes, always take note of the engine oil dipstick. It's not like it would totally burn the all the oil. At least a little over a litre in 3 months depending on the usage. Good thing is it won't smoke. Goodluck

Go for the 2010 model. The engine was replaced in that model with a better engine
Car TalkRe: 2001 Toyota Highlander OR 2006 Nissan Pathfinder by Alexgray(m): 3:39pm On Jan 26, 2020
aljazirahnews:
Can I have your number, sir? I have a few questions to ask. Thanks
This forum is for people to learn and understand. Many have been made to believe the Nissan pathfinder is a bad vehicle.they have never even owned any not to talk of use it for a year or two. My number is on my profile. But I would prefer you ask your questions here so I can answer. These answers would not only be helpful to you but would be open to scrutiny.
How I wish someone who has owned and personally used the highlander for more than 2 yrs can join in this discussion so we can have a healthy and educative conversation.
All cars have their bad sides. Nothing made by man is ever perfect.
Car TalkRe: 2001 Toyota Highlander OR 2006 Nissan Pathfinder by Alexgray(m): 11:12am On Jan 26, 2020
aljazirahnews:
What about the fuel consumption, sir?

And, how do i do the bypass?

Thanks
I have read people who haven't had a first hand experience call it a fuel guzzler. Before I got it, I have used a Toyota previa and a Ford F250 V8 triton. To be sincere, I see no difference in the consumption between these 3 vehicles. The only time the Ford consumes more is when you floor the gas pedal. Other than that, the V8 Triton is more like a regular v6. I briefly used a friend's highlander one weekend, it felt like I was in a saloon instead of suv. It all bothers on choice. I tell you, if Nissan made bad cars, why do you think the pathfinder would still be in existence many years after? Do u think it's easy to maintain a brand for that long? Think about it.
Mind you, my pathfinder is fitted with 275/70 R16 tyres,i so much love how it intimidates other cars on the road, be advised overspeeding with a pathfinder 2000-2010 puts you at high risk of rollover. This warning is boldy written on the flip visor in the vehicle. Goodluck

Been using and still using a 2005 pathfinder since 2016.no regrets. Read about the bypass and did it on mine. To me, u wld get more space in d pathfinder than the highlander. Whichever one u choose, just make sure u get a good one. I'm sure u wld be the one to say this to whoever intends to buy the pathfinder later.
