I have a schengen visa but for Germany and also an old expired usa visa but my wife doesnt have travel experience. My travel history is quite old. I already submitted, just wanting to know my chances. Thank you popone: Just to add, sir/ma, if this is your first Schengen visa application, it's better to keep your itinerary to only France (officially) and request for the number of days that will allow you to visit Spain also.
But if you've enough travel history or you've been in the Schengen zone before, no qualms.
Whatever you do, best of luck on it.
Just letting you know there's too much scrutiny on first time applicants (especially, if you've got no travel history). |

Hello Please I need an advice, So in my form I indicated I was going to Spain for 2days from france, I submitted the hotel reservations for both france and Spain but I didn't submit any transportation reservations to Spain. I indicated in my itinerary that I will buy my train ticket to Spain at the station.
Is this a red flag? I already submitted, just want to know |

Thanks in advance |

So basically, the interview was just for my baby. My older kids and i got in december. They just asked me where i was going, who I'm going to see, why I'm going, and previous travel history (i have a good travel history) I'm sure they just wanted to confirm that my answers are the same with the answers from the interview i had in december. AdisaMighty: Congrats, what questions did they ask you? transcript?? |

Thank you, I went with a photocopy. It was successful Thanks for replying. Dronequeen: Go with your passport that has your visa. They need to be sure you have your own visa before your child will be eligible. |

Goodmorning Please I need an advice. My self and 2 of my kids were granted our visas in Dec 2024. We applied way back 2022 and our appointment was dec 2024. I had a baby in September 2024 and couldn't add him to the application. I had to wait till ours was successful before I started his application. So I got a date for March 17 for his interview or to show him because he is only 6months old. But the venue is in Lagos and I live in abuja. We are supposed to travel for summer for my sisters wedding. Now on avits website, it's showing Cancel appointment and pending appointment, what does that mean? Will like to know because now I have to travel to lagos just for this interview. And again when I filled his ds160, everything in it says abuja. Does him submitting in lagos affect anything? |

From my experience, no, you have an appointment booked already. I think that applies if you only made payment without booking appointment. In my case, I applied and paid in sept 2022 and i got an appointment for dec 2024, which was successful. So i would say you are ok. Busyonkwe: Dear ALL,
Many thanks to all the contributors for your invaluable information on this thread.
Please I'd like to receive guidance regarding Visa application fee paid in June 2023. At the time the earliest appointment date I was able to get was for May 2025, and I scheduled my appointment accordingly. I have however seen some posts which state that Visa application fee is valid for one (1) year from date of payment. In view of this, do I have have to pay another Visa application fee before going for my interview? Thanks for your anticipated response/s. |

Oh yes , I did, picked up my passport with visa in it. Thank you. Zeni06: Sometimes it's a system to glitch. Today is Thursday, hope you went for your pick up at the OIS office? |
Travel › Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Alexie89: 10:27pm On Jan 08, 2025 |
Zeni06: Take a screenshot of the visa tracking status update let me see what's showing. It either shows approved or issued for a successful application. If it's showing "issued", and you passport is ready collection on the OIS portal, please go for your pick up appointment on Thursday at the OIS office. My interview was on the 10th. Visa was approved. So I don't understand that

Hello all, Happy New year Please I need a suggestion or advice I applied for b1/b2 tourist visa in 2022 and got appointment for Dec 10th 2024. I attended interview and it was successful but I've not received my passport back. I've not gotten any email that it is ready for pick up but I went on the ois site to see if it was ready and it showed me its ready for pick up and I booked appointment for Thursday for pickup but this morning and went on visa status check and it's saying application received and opened etc😀 and nothing else. I'm confused. Should I just go to the scheduled appointment or I should wait to get an email, it's almost a month since my interview, I thought maybe because of the festivities |

Had the same issue when I wanted to apply,I had agents charging me 50k for appointment or walk-in, and we were 3 (2 of my kids and I, even knowing fully well that kids below 6 dont need to come for the appointment, they basically charged me 150k, smh, i ran tho) I called the tls contact number and told them I couldn't book an appointment, they were able to get me the nearest date that was available. Try calling and hear what they say. zizle87: Hi Everyone. Please is there anyone here that has an idea how I can book an appointment for an Italian visa?. |

It's not advisable to pay for a ticket before your visa is granted... you can always use a certified travel agent and for like 2 or 3k, they can hold a booking for you. It's quite risky. seankafor: on the flight ticket.. dis you already booked and paid for the ticket before you got visa?
If yes, what if you were denied? What would have been the fate of the ticket you booked |

Congratulations Blessedsteph: Visa alert !! Applied with my kids for 10 days single entry visa to France. Biometrics - 8th June Pick up mail - 15th June 6 months multiple entry visa granted to all. Documents submitted: Flight booking Disney hotels/park entry booking Letter of Introduction which shows our itinerary for our 8 days trip (separate letter for each child). Sponsorship letter for the kids Birth cert for kids Consent letter for the kids (signed by both parents) Copy of parents passport data page University ID card for my adult child, school fees receipt for the younger ones. My employment letter, leave approval , 3 months payslip (I attached these for each child too) 3 months salary account statement with about 3.7m balance Personal usd account statement with 4,000usd balance. Photocopy of every visa we have ever had both on old passports. Prior to this, we all have valid 10yrs UK visa, US and Canada visas.
In my opinion, the documents they require for such a short term visa is quite much, there should be a platform where you submit these documents electronically not printing them all out. We are a family of 5 and believe me it wasn’t easy. |
