Hello, I asked and I was told the test was a requirement, now I'm confused, I guess I will just do it regardless...

HRprof:

Welcome, my flight is on Thursday next week. You will receive the update email if you book directly without using flight agent maybe.

The little I know...
1) there is a timeline to tourist/short stay application, you can get some informations on https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en_US/web/france-visas/visa-application-guidelines

2) there is a place in the form, where she can state that she is being sponsored, by who n by what means. Then you can bring your statement of account, passport data page n etc. She will also state in a cover letter that you are sponsoring her and also a good reason as to why you are not going with them. You will also add a consent letter for your kids, and marriage certificate n along with the normal requirements

3) Somewhere on this thread, someone answered this, if you have time on your hands, you can read through September messages, someone posted the solution on here

4) In my experience, I just booked 3 tours from viator.com. someone gave me the idea on this platform too. Just made a reservation for 3 different tours and added them to my itinerary in the cover letter I wrote, mine was just 2weeks, so I didn't need to add much.

5) for non vaccinated travellers, yes... but then again you must have a pressing ground for travelling if you are not vaccinated. Only vaccinated people, can enter without the isolation or quarantine

Hope this helps a little...

esdajo:
Good day everyone. Please, my wife and kids intend to visit France for the Christmas holidays for a period of 20 days and I have the following questions:

1. Can they apply now being first time travelers or are applications only opened to frequent travelers?

2. I am the one sponsoring the trip so I would like to know if I should transfer the fund to my wife's account or just write a cover letter explaining that I am one the financing the trip whilst including my wife's and I bank statements plus evidence of trading as I am a business person and shes a teacher?

3. How do I get valid itinerary and hotel reservations for the trip without paying for them? Any website where I can have all these done at once?

4. As for the requirement of "Reservation confirmation of an organised trip or any other document describing the planned programme", how do I prove this? Is reserving booked tours enough or I have to explain in detail what trips they intend to embark on during their stay?

5. Most importantly, is there a requirement of 10 days for quarantine upon landing in France?

Your answers would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I'm in same situation, I'm traveling on Tuesday, please when is the right time to take a covid test? Please.

Tho I'm fully vaccinated but based on general requirements, and to be on the safe side, I will rather do test and not need it, than need it and not have it. To avoid stories that touch. Lol. Please advice me on the right time to do the test of my flight is for Tuesday 7:45pm.

I heard something about fully vaccinated people signing a sworn declaration, please can anyone clarify on that.

Thank you

HRprof:

I am using Airfrance Airline and someone said I do not need it since I'm fully vaccinated they person travelled last month with same airline, I need more confirmation, I am confused

Calm down, it's not fight.

This is my fourth Schengen visa and I have never been bothered about validity of a ticket because it does not matter. This is thesame ticket I used and I got 6 months visa.

Y'all do what gives you peace, just like the guy I met at the visa application centre who paid 2.5 million naira to an agent for visa. Lool

I only shared an information that will make life easy for all those always asking questions everytime on how to get flight reservation. He asked a question and I answered him just like the way I assisted you with an information before your application and same way others have assisted me with information here.

BTW, Anyone who wants a flight itinerary for visa application can still contact wakanow and tell them what you want it for and they will do it free for you. Wakanow is one of the most trusted travel agents in Nigeria.

Peace out

@cucumbar
I will talk to the agent if you are still interested.

Personally I would say, whatever makes u sleep well at night, if paying an agent 2 or 3k to help keep a flight reservation for you till d end of ur visa application makes you rest easy, by all means do it, its your money, what do you have to lose, 2k? Not 20k.
But if doing it by yourself and submitting an application knowing ur flight reservation might not be valid at the time of decision making makes u rest easy and you are OK with that, then by all means please do it...
After all, you can always change your travel plans after d visa has been granted, I'm sure they know that.
We really do not know what the decision makers look out for in the end. You can have everything n still be refused, u can make mistakes n still be granted. But there is nothing wrong in making sure you did everything to the best of your knowledge and let God do the rest.

Best of luck...

Mummywifey:

I have already told you what to do. It's like you have excess money, you can give me the money let me do it for you.....looooool .

Go to KLM, input your flight details, when it gets to the point of payment, do not pay, instead click on the button that says hold booking. KLM will send the ticket too your email, print your reservation. It's that easy.

The ticket does not need to be valid for any day or hour or minute. The embassy just wants to see a flight itinerary, that's all.

Nigerians like giving agents free money, maybe I will soon start my own travel company.
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Alexie89: 1:30pm On Sep 16, 2021
I asked a ticketing agent I trusted to make the reservation specifically for the visa application, paid 3k for it...

cucumbar:
please, how did you make the flight reservations?

Keep it simple.
Define what you are going for and apply accordingly...
Don't complicate it...

Yes. I saw it.
When I was about booking appointment, I was asked first timer or frequent traveller, that's before you get to that section you posted. I'm in abuja too.
Gentlesoul3268:

Do you see the screenshot I posted ? Lagos specify short stay first timer traveler and frequent traveler while Abuja didn't indicate that

On this same question, the forms for the kids, who signs them? Kids below 18. Is it signed by one parent or both parents?
And if they are travelling with only one parent, what are the requirements, please and thank you.

Hi,

Either of the parents can sign it.

You will need a consent letter from her and explain why she won't be joining the trip at this time.

I hope this helps?

The last time I went there, they didn't allow me in because I didn't have an appointment, so I told them it was for inquiries, they asked to see my passport. So my take, I don't think you can walk in without appointment.
This happened to me too, tho not summit,I wanted to travel in September, so I filled forms in July and the earliest appointment date they had as at July was in September. So I had to cancel everything and shifted my travel to October n booked the September appointment date.
But if its that urgent, check out Lagos state, they usually have more flexible dates...

toludestin:
Good day everyone does VFS Abuja(France) allow for walk in customers? I have a summit in France October 4 to 8 and the earliest date showing is 15th.

Good idea... thank you

HRprof:

I will advice you not to buy a ticket but include it in your letter that you plan taking your kids to Disneyland or bett.

Meanwhile before you travel ensure you confirm from airline because some airline travelling to Europe do not accept tourist visa travellers
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Alexie89: 9:26am On Aug 27, 2021
Thank you, I will try this out

You can make reservations for cancelable tour on viator.com for tours in Disneyland and to Disneyland.

Hello, please I have a question, when applying for tourism with kids, I want to take them to disneyland, do I have to buy the tickets? As in include it in my application when writing a cover letter? Because on Disney site, you pay for the tickets straight, no booking and paying later, I can't buy a ticket when visa is not guaranteed... or should I leave it out? How do I write my planned itinerary for our stay?

pufframmy:
maybe he should be ignore since his not accepting the right about it

Good mornlng
Please i have aquestion.
When you are booking for appointment online, is there an option to pick the date you want or is the embassy that will give you a date based on the avaliability?

Because am planning to submitt on the second week of august, like on the 12th. I hope i can get that date.

The will give you dates based on availability. I realised in my recent search that if you are in lagos, u can get dates in August, but if u are in abuja, the earliest dates are in September. No idea why but I'm guessing because of covid they are accepting certain number per day. So if you are in lagos, u can try, you might get the dates but the longer you wait the farther the dates change
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Alexie89: 4:18pm On Jul 26, 2021
davide470:
You do know dates are given based on availability, and there is zero assurance you will get a date earlier than the last one you got.

Why not adjust your travel plans instead?

Yea, I thought so. So I changed travel plans to sometime in October and I got an early date for appointment in September. I guess that will work. Thank you so much
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Alexie89: 12:17pm On Jul 26, 2021

You can delete already filled app and refill another application with different date you want then proceed to appointment

Thank you
