Hello, please I need a candid opinion, I have my appointment next week and in my mind I feel I have the documents required, I'm married but I'm sponsoring myself and I'm travelling with 2 of my kids. I have a good job. My husband is currently on domestic travel for work purposes so he won't be available for d trip. The documents I plan to submit
- filled forms
-id card
- travel insurance from axa
- flight reservations and hotel reservations from booking. Com, they didn't charge me any deposit just my debit card info.
- 3 months bank statement of 4m closing statement and payslips
- cover letter, itinerary n 3 booked tour packages
-Employment details
-birth certificates, marriage certificate, consent letter from hubby ,family pictures, introduction letter from my kids school.
-copy of previous visas- UK, Spain, India, uae
-vaccination card (don't know if it's necessary but I included it)
It's for a short stay tourist visa

Please and please, what are my chances, any missing documents? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Alexie89: 7:09pm On Sep 08, 2021
Yes. I saw it.
When I was about booking appointment, I was asked first timer or frequent traveller, that's before you get to that section you posted. I'm in abuja too.
Gentlesoul3268:
Do you see the screenshot I posted ? Lagos specify short stay first timer traveler and frequent traveler while Abuja didn't indicate that

Ok, thank you so much
I really appreciate

You are good to go. Although the vaccine certificate is not necessary, but if your think it will help your application, then you can go ahead and use it.

On this same question, the forms for the kids, who signs them? Kids below 18. Is it signed by one parent or both parents?
And if they are travelling with only one parent, what are the requirements, please and thank you.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Alexie89: 9:40pm On Sep 01, 2021
Thank you...
It helps, I appreciate

josephb:
Hi,

Either of the parents can sign it.

You will need a consent letter from her and explain why she won't be joining the trip at this time.

I hope this helps?

The last time I went there, they didn't allow me in because I didn't have an appointment, so I told them it was for inquiries, they asked to see my passport. So my take, I don't think you can walk in without appointment.
This happened to me too, tho not summit,I wanted to travel in September, so I filled forms in July and the earliest appointment date they had as at July was in September. So I had to cancel everything and shifted my travel to October n booked the September appointment date.
But if its that urgent, check out Lagos state, they usually have more flexible dates...

toludestin:
Good day everyone does VFS Abuja(France) allow for walk in customers? I have a summit in France October 4 to 8 and the earliest date showing is 15th.

Good idea... thank you

HRprof:
I will advice you not to buy a ticket but include it in your letter that you plan taking your kids to Disneyland or bett.

Meanwhile before you travel ensure you confirm from airline because some airline travelling to Europe do not accept tourist visa travellers
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Alexie89: 9:26am On Aug 27, 2021
Thank you, I will try this out

Mummywifey:
You can make reservations for cancelable tour on viator.com for tours in Disneyland and to Disneyland.

Hello, please I have a question, when applying for tourism with kids, I want to take them to disneyland, do I have to buy the tickets? As in include it in my application when writing a cover letter? Because on Disney site, you pay for the tickets straight, no booking and paying later, I can't buy a ticket when visa is not guaranteed... or should I leave it out? How do I write my planned itinerary for our stay?

pufframmy:
maybe he should be ignore since his not accepting the right about it

Good mornlng
Please i have aquestion.
When you are booking for appointment online, is there an option to pick the date you want or is the embassy that will give you a date based on the avaliability?

Because am planning to submitt on the second week of august, like on the 12th. I hope i can get that date.
The will give you dates based on availability. I realised in my recent search that if you are in lagos, u can get dates in August, but if u are in abuja, the earliest dates are in September. No idea why but I'm guessing because of covid they are accepting certain number per day. So if you are in lagos, u can try, you might get the dates but the longer you wait the farther the dates change
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Alexie89: 4:18pm On Jul 26, 2021
davide470:
You do know dates are given based on availability, and there is zero assurance you will get a date earlier than the last one you got.

Why not adjust your travel plans instead?
Yea, I thought so. So I changed travel plans to sometime in October and I got an early date for appointment in September. I guess that will work. Thank you so much
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Alexie89: 12:17pm On Jul 26, 2021
HRprof:
You can delete already filled app and refill another application with different date you want then proceed to appointment
Thank you
Will get right on it

Ok.
I'm really still looking for an advice. I filled out my forms online and put my intended travel dates for September 14th but when I got to book appointment the earliest date is September 1st for people in abuja . Please what do I do?
Is there a way to get an early appointment? Or do I cancel the whole application?
Please advice.

Congratulations, I couldn’t book ooo until last week. I will be submitting on the 6th.
How did you book?
Where are you? Lagos or abuja?
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Alexie89: 11:50am On Jul 25, 2021
nneteb:
Don't bother to book any appointment just go to VFS center in abuja with all your documents, tell those security officer outside the building that ur school ask you to come and confirm some information, once u have access in, 3rd floor is VFS global, walk straight to the reception tell the receptionist that you came to submit ur documents for student VISA for France and u would want to pay for VIP. VIP is 17500. Go with additional 17500 for VIP
Thank you.

It's not for student visa tho.
It's the regular short stay tourist visa
I'm just confused why it didn't let me see an appointment date before making me fill all the information about intended travel date in the form.
How do I go about this.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Alexie89: 6:53am On Jul 25, 2021
Hi, goodmorning
Please I have question
I'm trying to apply for france and before I started I wanted to book an appointment so I know my date of submission but I couldn't book one without filling the forms. So I went ahead and filled the forms and submitted and to book appointment, its saying the earliest slot is 1st of September. But in my forms my dates for travel is 14th September which is not ideal now considering the appointment date.
Please what can I do? How do I get an earlier date for appointment? Or how do I change my date of travel. All documentation I have is stated for the 14th September period. I reside in abuja
Please advice.
Thank you
