micxwell: If you're a heavy user, it's not for you o.... I use it as a second phone. I like how well I can use it with one hand. Fits perfectly well and with the right gcam, I take good pictures as well. Easy to carry around too. Compact phone, i pray the Iphone 12 will be a huge success so that OEM's will know that we wey still want below 6" screen device dey exist, & stop making only phablets. |

barackodam: Abeg, na true sey MX Player is a battery miner?
I'm confused the way battery drains while watching a show on my phone.
Even with data off, I dey lose over 8% for an hour show.
Is that normal, or I'm just being an alarmist? MX player no dey easy on battery. I'm guessing its a result of the engine the app makes use of |

GrandMufti: How? view the status on your WhatsApp, come back to ucweb status downloader, you will meet the statuses you have viewed on there. |

GrandMufti: You can use the file manager without internet access. Can you use UC browser without internet access? yes you can |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Alfabest07(m): 1:35pm On Aug 07, 2020 |
GrandMufti: The difference is that you can use the other apps without internet access; which makes the data theft pretty useless.
Kindly show me where you can grant UC access to your WhatsApp, I want to learn to be clear, its your storage access it needs. This because it accesses the whatsapp status folder for the status you have viewed which have been downloaded to the phone for the next 24hrs, subjective to when the status post was made. So UCweb in no way reads your whatsapp messages or any other details not on your accessible storage.

GrandMufti: It has access to your WhatsApp.
As for the junk, you won't see it except you use an advanced file explorer app.
I use Samsung browser and kiwi and I've never seen any junk they left behind.
AliExpress app is another ad server ucweb is not the 1st to integrate status saver in their app. Xender, MX player, Es file explorer etc all have it. They only work when you grant them access |

sajmark: copying links and pasting to external download manager has always been a turn off for me sha... when it comes to downloading UC still does magic if you know where to look. keep your ADM running in background and it will capture downloads automatically from links immediately you copy |

explosiveskull: Lol, but I adore that browser just that lately their methods of enforcing advertisement on us is annoying. Which browser do you think cuts to be the best in data, battery conservation and not being too heavy and can load all sites and have a download manager like ucweb? i am using 'UC turbo' variant. So far, everything has been super, opens pages that wont load on chrome, downloads superfast with good network (i don forget my ADM sef) & easy on battery as well |

JasonSleek: lol...I keep mine in a box... Don't joke with them, the phone packs... Sometimes for nostalgia sakes, I just go over and open it up and reopen the cartons to remember how I felt when I purchased them...
Memories of my last 7 devices are safely locked in that box. A fetish I guess. this is funny |

JasonSleek: that's the difference... How do you even enjoy that low quality
As for me... I love em 320kbps and nothing less. Why having to worry about your data bandwidth and reduce access to high quality audio??
Put song for phone, my guy. well, i can't definitely put all the song I'll listen to on my phone, it will tell on my storage & the stress of curatimg my preference of playlist. I'm good streaming them, thanks |

No ooo, streaming is growing o, less stress except for our network buh i reduce the quality i stream mine to reduce data consumption & buffering(it hardly does except network is really bad) |

JasonSleek: I use a 64gb phone currently with a 128gb card, everywhere done full.
When i eventually get that 128 note 9s, i'd definitely buckle a 256gb card on it. I love that flexibility on the go, not having to take my hard disk everywhere with me for the sakes of my most important files and media. you keep songs in your phone? |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Alfabest07(m): 11:01pm On Aug 06, 2020 |
JasonSleek: that's for you bro...
I personally, still enjoys the idea of having an option to extend my storage capacity to as much as 512GB.
That 128GB go still full... And almost all of us don't wanna experience the pains of storage issues ever again. OTG drive is an option, i dont want a phone with mcard slot again, even if 128gb full when i no get system, OTG is my next option. But wetin you dey take full 128gb abeg? Asking for a friend |

KingBillionaire: Hi fam, I've been using my note 9s for a while and I complained some weeks back on how hot the device becomes and it doesn't last a day. Some great fellows here recommended I force restart and reset device if it persists. This is I did and the phone came back to nomalcy but it stayed normal for a day or 2 before going back to the same issue. Having done 2 updates ( 11.0.9 and 11.0.10) and 2 reset. overheating stopped but battery drain is still massive (lose about 30% under light usage, just social media though on 4G )
Do you think, I've got a defective device in my hands as I intend to go to the outlet I got it from and request for a swap, upgrade or refund (I know this might not b possible)
Phone is just 20days old. I need your sincere opinion and advise on how to go about this.
Thank you all If you bought with warranty (better from a licensed shop) they will first check & service the phone, that i suggest you should do. If they can't fix it, they'll be the one to ask you to take another or upgrade if you can afford it. I said so because it is better they check it themselves & see its a production fault & fix it, if its not a fault with the phone they will tell you. I've never seen this happen for a fact in 9ja tho. |
