He does not deserve to be Ikemba, he is too classless.
LOL, looking at Uwazurike now you kinda appreciate the original Ikemba himself (Ojukwu). At least the one understands all languages and does not just talk without thinking. I just don't like the way he talks without thinking of appreciating the consequences of his words unlike others before him. |

Na wa o The only thing GEJ can do and make his name be in history and make "haters" since that is what they describe people like me as, to shut up is to DO CONSTANT ELECTRICITY. His name would sure surpass OBJ. OBJ just like pass leaders was a fraud IMO but e try small compare to GEJ |
The west and the north have paid their dues. I hope this move would foster unity among brothers and sisters. ![]() |

BY CLIFFORD NDUJIHE IN continuation of the month-long burial rites of late elder statesman and leader of defunct Biafran Republic, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the Igbo Nation in Lagos will today gather at Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, Onikan, to honour him. The event which is co-ordinated by Ndigbo in Lagos will be chaired by Second Republic Presidential Candidate and elder statesman, Dr Tunji Braithwaite with Governor Babatunde Fashola, SAN as chief host. Chairman of Ndigbo Lagos, Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu (rtd) said prominent Igbo leaders and personalities were expected as they had been enjoined “to turn out en mass to pay homage to this icon of our land.” Kanu, who spoke through his personal assistant, Ndubuisi Ufonda, said those expected included Admiral Allison Madueke (rtd), Prof Anya O Anya, Major General Ike Nwachukwu (rtd) and all Ohanaeze members among others. Secretary General of apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nduka Eya, said the programme was in tandem with Ohanaeze’s directives because Ojukwu meant many things to everybody and everybody could not be in Nnewi for the burial. “The different programmes being organised across the country show that Ojukwu is something to everybody. The National Planning Committee put out the programme. It is impossible for every Igbo man to be in Nnewi. So, we told all our affiliates to organise programmes in their different areas,” he said. On the elevation of Chief Ralph Uwazurike as Eze Igbo Gburugburu, Eya said: “Ohanaeze has no hand in that. It was His Royal Majesty, Eze Obidiegwu Onyenso of Nri Kingdom, who gave him the title. The person who is Eze Igbo Gburugburu has not been buried, why give another person the title? It is not in our tradition to have anyone as Igbo leader worldwide because every area has its leader. I don’t know where and when Igbo people sat to crown Eze Igbo. But whatever it is, Igbo people accepted Ojukwu as their hero and we don’t mind calling him Eze Igbo. Let everybody hail Ojukwu as they please. These programmes are building up to the final interment. Ojukwu’s death is a tragic loss. Ojukwu was pushed to the wall and he fought against international conspiracy.” Speaking on arrangements for the ceremony, Dr Sylvan Ebigwei, the President of Igbo Intellectual Think -Tank, Aka-Ikenga, said Dr Tunji Braithwate, a close friend of the late Igbo leader, would chair the occasion, which a host of Igbo leaders in Lagos had promised to attend. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/02/igbo-in-lagos-honour-ojukwu-today/ |
KINGwax:The word Yoruba gives them pleasure. I mean I don't understand the comparison each time. It is like they treat yorubas as their nemesis. LOL ![]() |
@OP, Dr. ANTHONY MUDIAGA's assertions are false and intellectually dishonest at best. Sanusi never claimed that 13% derivation to ND is the cause of Northern underdevelopment. The foolish doctor became a sooth sayer and a mind reader when he asserted that Sanusi 'regressed' to a strategy of using ethnic, religious or class sentiments, which political elites in Nigeria often use to gain the support of the dominated citizens to give them political legitimacy. olodo Dr. Mudiaga further states that Sanusi may have ventured into this recursive strategy in Nigerian politics because, he is posturing for the 2015 elections. I repeat this Dr. is a fool who needs to focus in his medical practice instead of attempting to attck Sanusi for no reason at all. Here's is exactly what Sanusi said regarding the said 13% derivation and I quote: Can anyone dipute the factual accuracy of Sanusi's statement above? Sanusi is not saying that this direct link is the only reason. Only fools like Dr. Mudiaga, will interprete Sanusi's statement to mean that the said derivation is the only reason for underdevelopment in the North. Clearly it is one of the major reasons since it is a major contributing factor to the lack of enough money to meet basic needs prevalent in the region . SMH
My brother, the day I stopped following Sanusi was the day he was relating Boko haram to distribution of money. Poverty is everywhere whether in the north or in the south. It is irrespective of ethnicity, religion or zones. Just like a man cannot afford garri/akara in maiduguri, a man too cannot afford groundnut in the warri/Onitsha. Let face facts here. Sanusi is meant to be an intellectual who people like us follow and relate with. His recent article on that money deviation couple with the double speaking he did no that fuel subsidy saga made me really disappointed in him. Maybe I expected too much from him. ,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,. Dr. Mudiaga was just interpreting what Sanusi said, maybe not poverty but reason for boko haram. |
DerideGull:if you noticed, I left this thread because as predicted it would be unproductive No we were NOT NIGERIA WE WERE NORTHERN NIGERIA WESTERN NIGERIA AND EASTERN NIGERIA It just shows how ignorant you are about the politics during that time. |
