Back then, they were educated people and skilled labours in every region so please don't start telling me Igbos alone. In 1954 or so during the pre independence, we all ready had north for northerner. Igbos that were doctors were asked to leave the north for northern doctors.

While the west took a more gentle approach by talking to Nnamdi and other Igbo leaders to form southern Nigeria. Nnamdi disregarded him and imprisoned him. An opposition to Awolowo even had to speak out back then. it was that bad.

I read one of Ojukwu memos where he said something about Igbos runned everything with a few yoruba brains. I looked and laughied at the propect of yorubas in Southern Nigeria if Nnamdi listen to Awo. I keep thanking God for directing things aright.

In a country where you don't see yourselves as equals, how do you expect to progress ?

My brother, Igbos would NOT get free land. Do you know why ? Because of law of demand and supply.

The demand for yorubaland is very high, thus to even buy land is expensive not to talk of giving it for free to Igbos who already claim 45 %- 75 % of the South-west region.

Meanwhile, the so called spokes man is just speaking his mind because he wants to cash in. Really if you notice more yorubas don't even care.

Please give me details about this free land abeg! kogi isnt far from east so I can run back when time reach or swim through R. Niger  ,  Though still a student but atleast if i change some of my savings, I know how much it will be in Naira and build something like a block industry there,ofcourse there will be cheap labour there I might be paying a guy 50cent per hr( they will be glad). Also Kogi is surrounded by cities like abuja Enugu etc and these places need things like cheap block which I can be able to supply for their construction. Every rich man starts somewhere.

@Uche, even Nnewi people are capable of organising a befitting burial for Ikemba. But in this case, it is not only Nnewi nor Anambra state but the entire Eastern region. It is enough and even overcrowded. No more support from our western Nigerian friends.

LOL it is not only western friend but also the north. Moreover the burial site might be in Nnewi but the ceremony could be in other parts.
