What makes a smartphone is the gpu and cpu.

Someone I suggested the Samsung A2 core to few days ago, just bought it few minutes ago, for 25100naira.
And it's just 1gig ram and 16gig rom. Yet no tecno or infinix device is comparable to the Samsung A2 core when considering the price bracket, in terms of usage and productivity, even if the transission device is 6gig ram and 256gig rom.

The xiaomi redmi 8 with 4/64gig is priced 47k in Nigeria and 44k on aliexpress you can't compare it to any transission device from 50-80k and not have the redmi 8 thumping it all round.

It's why it's the duty of every well thinking Nigerian here on nairaland and offline, to enlighten every potential phone buyer to go for affordable devices that meet every possible standard in terms of the hard earned money they are spending on the smartphone.

For every price range tecno or infinix or itel has a device, there is a better offering from xiaomi, realme, lenovo, Samsung and huawei.
So don't be quick to encourage people to be wasteful because you expect smartphone users to be mindful of only the storage composition and not be worried that they are spending their hard earned money on scrabs.

Pls who know from which store(s) can i get xiaomi phones ,,, probably in ibadan

I don't think so. The display on the s7 edge has a higher resolution 1440×2560 @534ppi while the a30 is 1080×2340 @403ppi. the s7 edge display is better.

Activate ad block3r on ir ucweb, when u wan to download , d ads link page should open on another new window, then go back to your download window by dat time d download link will be up, zoom ..there u go
** Always let d ads page open or your download will be slow or wont open

Try and change your memory card... Or reformat with a pc, meanwhile dont format as internal storage on phone

hello nairalanders I've been battling with the failure of rooting and unlocking the bootloader of my techno w5. I've tried different apps on the internet, Google Play but no avail. I tried rooting it with pc by installing twrp and then superuser.zip file.

However I think rooting it with PC process include unlocking the bootloader first before installing the twrp recovery file. I've downloaded all the necessary files but my issue is stucked at unlocking the bootloader.

I tried using this command "fastboot oem unlock" and it takes me to options "press volume up to unlock and down to abort. when I pressed the volume up. it says "error remote unknown command".

now I'm contemplating on installing the TWRP recovery without unlocking the bootloader cos its been giving me headaches.


so is it possible? to flash the TWRP recovery and then install the superuser.zip file?

Hi Nairalanders, I have been saving money to buy a good phone that has good qualities like; long lasting battery, enough memory space and ram and a good camera. I have a budget of #35000 and I want to buy a brand new phone but if the money is not enough, I may settle for a London used phone.
