Green day today. I'll be moving my funds to Halo next week.
Are they in anyway better than CardinalStone?

And if they are, you can only know that by compare their performance after a quarter.

Since they are sleeping, would it be wise to buy them now. Interested in investing in those 3.
You can surely get them if your goal is long term (1year and above).

Once you buy, don't go and withdraw if you see small reduction in the value o

Just leave it there and watch it for at least three months to see and understand the working of equity.

The rate is bearish today, as I only made 300+. The government just auctioned TB, thus making the rate lower today. Tomorrow might be better. Equity is starting to get on track; we will need to be patient as this market is tricky.
Oh I see
I'll observe the return I get from stanbic tomorrow and let you know

Equity= Bullish
Fixed Income fund= Bearish. 20/1/2026
Today is not bad
We have 0.57% increment for Equity
We move again tomorrow

How's fixed income bearish at your end? Here, with Stanbic Enhanced fixed income, the daily rate has been consistent, although not as high as your daily rate.

Hello EquityM, since these equity mutual funds are at their ATHs, would you still advise investing in them?

What about the Balanced fund?

I researched the outcomes of investing in both, and the investing in an equity fund will yield a higher interest, the balanced fund can cushion the effects of market correction with the investment in fixed income instruments.

Also, following the initial poll on where to invest 100m, wouldn't investing 100m in an equity fund be risky at this time?

And with the new SEC directive affecting Capital Market Operators, will you be stick with Cardistone or an assets managing with a large capital base, e.g Stanbic?
Aren't you aware that CardinalStone is bigger than Stanbic undecided undecided undecided

Investing 100m
For capital growth, split the money 40:20:40;
40% for mmf, 20% for fixed income and 40% for equity.
That way, you have full control over your assets. For emergency fund, 40% in mmf got you covered. 20% in fixed income balances your portfolio and you don't need to be scared of whatever happens in equity (up and down movement of equity fund). 40% in equity grow your funds and makes you achieve your set target easily.
Putting these three together is what those assets managers call balanced fund. So you can create a balanced portfolio for yourself depending on your risk tolerance. You don't have to do 40:20:40. You can also do 50:30:20. Everything boils down to you and what you want.

Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Allboiz: 5:15pm On Jan 14
MBBA:
Issues with my 2008 Accord V6 Navi Model

Can anyone provide clues or directions on this..

Vehicle in question: Honda Accord 2008 V6 Navi model

I dropped off my vehicle with a popular auto-workshop around Billingsway for oil leak repairs that required the technicians to pull out the engine from the vehicle.

On completion, all the instrument clusters stopped working, except for the fuel gauge and the A/B trip computer only.

There’s no feedback from:
— the speedometer,
— temperature gauge,
— odometer
— the car information dashboard
— the gear selector indicator
— the air-conditioning (it only blows hot air, their A/C technician says he can’t diagnose any issue that’s causing it).
— the diagnostic control

None of the OBS diagnostic tools is reading any information from the vehicle. Nothing is coming up. All their 3 diagnostics tools worked fine with the vehicle just prior to them undertaking the repairs.

There’s no other security set up on the vehicle except Honda’s security set up. I’ve checked to see if that’s the issue. It doesn’t seem to be.

The implication is that my vehicle cannot be in use, otherwise I will be driving blind.

Mechanical-wise, the vehicle’s operation seems good. But I can’t ever be comfortable driving a vehicle where no vehicle information is available

Prior to this particular repair, all functions and instruments in the vehicle worked perfectly and in good condition. In over 5 years of use, this is the first time of undergoing any significant maintenance/repairs.

It is now 5 weeks since I was scheduled to pick up the vehicle, and till date they have not been able to resolve whatever the issue is.

I am counting my losses at this point, as I have to look elsewhere to get this fixed; but I need guidance from any of the professionals on here. I will also be holding them liable for the cost of repairs of this particular issue.
Those auto-whatever are very useless. They still consult kazeem to come and work for them and then pay him small change from the big money they charged you.

Imagine!!! They wasted 5 weeks to fix oil leak problem and then added another wahala as jara to your car. Something kazeem will fix with close monitoring at most 1 week.

And I'm very sure that the oil leak issue might still be there and it's until you drive on a long distance before you realise it.

Sorry man!!! Make sure they pay for that damage on your car.

I advise you send a mail to the addresses EquityM listed above.

When I toped up this morning, I got an instant email confirmation and I saw my payment on the app, but my dashboard read zero when i logged out and went back in. According to CardinalStone CS personnel the dashboard will be adjusted accordingly less than 24hrs after each top up. As of now my dashboard is fine.
It has dropped now. Thanks

You get your money that same day. It will be withdrawn from your account immediately and transferred to your wallet. Last year, during the tax crisis, I withdrew my funds, and I got them that day. Moreover, if I had stayed longer, I would have made a lot of profit.
Beautiful

If the market goes south, forget the 90days, you can withdraw your capital. Only your interest will be charged. You can start investing but have a plan B in case the market goes bearish. I will send the link to see the stocks they currently trade. There is also a yearly dividend paid to subscribers; this is different from your interest accrued.
Does cardinal stone do immediate withdrawal? Some equity fund manager like 'first asset smart beta equity ' will delay you for days (sometimes 5 days) before they withdraw your fund. I once had an experience with them when equity was going down and my fund was not withdrawn immediately. I lost more than I thought.

At the same time, I had funds in UC equity fund too and withdrawal was immediate (sometimes few hours).

I agree with the bold
Maybe Stanbic balanced fund will be the best option for long term investors, since it is a combination of mmf and equity.
That's also a brilliant idea. Your fund will grow as it should.

I am using CardinalStone and Quantum Zenith for my fixed income fund. Fixed income is kind of sketchy; I'm still trying to get around it. I learned there are many ways to make money from it, especially when MPR meetings occur.
I heard there's dividend biannually and the total rates at the end of a year is around 17 - 20%. Also, it doesn't go down anyhow like mmf. It's stable and steady.

You nailed it, bro. I'm currently doing MMF, fixed income fund, and balanced fund. I once did stock, but it was too dramatic. One should always try something new. If my money drops vigorously, I go comot am.
Any Idea on stanbic Enhanced fixed income fund? How good are they?

Can someone explain this YTD metrics clearly.

Is it the value of the investment return.

How does it differ from the price change
The yield doesn't matter when it comes to equity. My 1m in UC has added 24k in just 4days despite the low ytd
InvestmentRe: Mutual Funds by Allboiz:
When it comes to growing your capital, equity is the only way.

Doing only money market fund is just like saving money and that's too conservative. You'll always be below inflation because the rates are always not encouraging. However, if you're old (60+), just stick with mmf.

To be safe, combine mmf, fixed-income and equity. You can always do 40:20:40 respectively. So if equity doesn't do well after a year (hardly occurs anyway), mmf and fixed-income will be your shock absorber.

Now imagine the three go well in just year, your smile will be different. But do no forget, equity alone is not the way. Always combine the three in that ratio.

This is exactly what I was trying to explain to a very wealthy friend, some fund managers are like our politicians, what you get is different from what they promised during elections.

The rates of some fund managers does not always correlate with what they often pay into your account, I don't want to discredit any fund manager...

Trustbanc and Norrenberger fund managers are the best at the moment, e get why... It is not just about their competitive rates, you get exactly what you are supposed to get or according to their daily accrued interest.
Politician asset managers grin grin grin

Name them

FirstAlly rates start from 18% to 22%. If you are looking for monthly compounding, try the HYIS premium of FirstAlly; however, the minimum capital is 5m, and the rate is also from 18 to 20%. My account officer told me the HYIS premium will be taxed. TrustBanc also has a good rate; nevertheless, they don't have an app, and they only send me statement valuations by email. (I don't really recommend it.)
HYIS Premium is not worth it then since it'll be taxed.

Have you done a calculation to be sure their rate matches the interest you get? Some mmf organisation put fake high interest rate but the daily return doesn't correlate.
InvestmentRe: Mutual Funds by Allboiz: 11:10am On Dec 29, 2025
EquityM:
I am currently using FirstAlly, Trustbanc, Norrenberger, Quantum Zenith, Meristem, and FBNQuest as my MMF.

FirstAlly is still the best in my opinion for daily rates; withdrawals take less than 5 minutes to enter my account. They also have a HYIS premium, which compounds monthly.
What's Firstally interest rate? I think I'd have to move from stanbic to this Firstally.

Unitedcapital also does quick withdrawal. You get your money in 5 minutes if it's below 2m but there interest rate is the lowest in money market.
