There's not too much of it in the western world, mainly 1080i which is just as good. The cost of AV equipment to broadcast in 1080p is a lot but has been coming down in recent years.

Even sky full HD is 1080i and not 1080p for those who do not know. Those that do 1080p I.e Netflix do so because it's cheaper to stream 1080p over the Internet.

Multichoice like many other SAT TV services broadcasts at 1080i Max, 720p upwards is HD. Which is just as good. The question is can your eyes detect The quality difference between a 1080i and 1080p picture on regular home size TVs? ... 32", 40" , 50", etc, u probably can't tell the difference.
For instance when i watch 720p and 1080p files on a 32" TV, I absolutely cannot detect any quality difference,
But on screens larger than 50" , the quality difference starts to manifest slightly.

You cannot safely arrive at such a conclusion unless you know:

-if the connection to the D/board is single or three phase,
-The number of boards to be fed
-The distance (along the counduit path) between each board and meter/power house
- the generator set up and location. the 10mm is most likely going to be run for the gen aswell.

The question about the TV cable would be...."coils of how many meters each ?" .. 10 is obviously not practical anyways.

Sure,
As far as delivering the radio signals from your dish to the receiver/decoder goes, a good copper-cored coax cable should give you a perfectly clear signal.

Getting HDMI quality picture and sound now depends on the setup/connection from your receiver to the TV.

Receiver to TV (via HDMI cable) and TV to Home theater (via HDMI) should set you up for quality HD viewing.

The TV obviously has to be a HD TV for the HDMI connection to matter

You might want to find out what brand and length you were sold first. coaxial cables are manufactured by many companies to different specifications.
the cores are in different diameters, some can have core conductors with cross-sectional areas (standard cable sizing) as large as 1.5mm2, though most typically range between 0.75mm2-1.0mm2
the insulator and flex mesh inside also differ in size and material. For instance coleman is about 14k, but is just 100m. A 300m variant of that same standard will cost over 35k

just make sure not to buy those small 1.5k or 2k coils, na odinary iron dey inside. the conductor breaks easily and when than happens you'll be struggling with poor signal quality

and those wall chasers are quite a great option. a concrete cutting machine will require two parallel runs to create the void , but the chaser does this in just one pass/run

depends on the quantity or size.
there are variants of about 80m sold for N4200, give or take
then there are larger rims of about 300m that retail for about 12k , this is particularly useful for those who have long runs,
otherwise the smaller variant works just fine for domestic projects.

From that price he obviously has the small coiled, low quality variant in mind. The cheapest you can get for any kind of TV cable with a copper conductor core is in the range of 4k upwards....and that's from 70-80 yds up

Now I know where to turn... I actually spoke with and communicate with Taiwo Ikusemoran. And unfortunately when I told them my
quantity, I did not get any more discounts. I shall be in touch with you for better prices and pickup original at their factory.

So far my quantity is below:

2.5mm = 15
4mm = 7
6mm = 3
10mm = 5
Coaxial Cable (for TV) = 10 (But I can pickup this anywhere with low price, does not have to be Coleman or Nigerchin)

Baba mi, i wish it was just a simple matter of packaging. But it's alot more complex than that.
It's very easy to package any cable to look EXACTLY like any of the major brands in the country. Even in hand you'll be hard pressed to tell, let alone mere pictures. There are even imported ones with the name clearly engraved on the insulator but slightly misspelled ....

For instance there is Nigershin, Nigershine, and Nigerchine ( instead of Nigerchin)

There is also Coman, Colman and I think a few others(instead of Coleman)

There is also the issue of coils containing original cables inside, but with the length altered and recoiled. If you are able to acertain the brand name on the insulator how do you verify the length? You cannot possibly measure all the cables and they know this. So dem go wait for you make you do all your inspector gadget finish....... Then finish you with mixing when it's time to supply.

My advice to any buyer is... avoid all this headache, risks and uncertainty and buy from the manufacturer or (to save more money) from a " verified" distributor.... better still, request that he supply you from the factory if in doubt (that way you still get it directly from the manufacturer but at a lower cost)

Personally i prefer to supply customers directly from the factory when the quantity is reasonable. it keeps the customer assured of what he is getting, absolves the seller of any foul play, and no quack can come and cry wolf because he didn't do the buying.

You are right boss, 70% of the houses in this country will be affected because of the fake marials. A lot things is rellay affecting building services these and most people are looking for cheap materials and labour. I can not imagine an electrician looped 3 Air condition on a circuit using 2.5mm cable and giving guarantee that there will be no problem it will work. They have started experiencing serious problem less than 2weeks of handling over. I visited the place and submitted my report to the client. I condemned the whole electrical installation. How can electrician use 2.5mm cable to power 3nos of 1 .5hp AC? See connection inside the ceilng void. Client want to save money but end up spend more(tripple)

Smh, you can imagine.
Everybody wey carry tester and hammer na electrician. Funny thing is, those kind of quacks get more jobs because they come cheap and 50% of the time they abandon the project halfway.

Also what are some tests that I can carry out that would help me tell the difference between quality and fake especially when it comes down to iron rods and blinding wires.

Also for areas in Lagos closer to the ocean ( Ekpe and ibeju environs) with low water table, should considerations be taken as regards to the materials content of iron rods being used for raft foundations? As regards to corrosion

For the Electricals we deliver on that, as long as you're interested in quaity, and you're not looking for impossible prices.
I have almost zero idea, with respect to the rods, i think regular builders in that axis will be able to provide you with better information

So far, I will only stay with Nigerchin, Coleman, and Kabelmetal.
And I always go directly to their factory to buy it, because I don't know any dealer that I can trust.

Boss thank you for bringing this up. A lot of people don't know. I have given a client list of cables and prices in recent times and he went ahead to buy from a guy simply because his price is cheaper than what I gave him. When he delivered the cable to site I realised that they are all fake cables, iron coated with copper. I rejected the cables and told him to call the supplier. The supplier came and he was trying to bribe me so that I can use the cable. I rejected the money......NEVER Wil I install inferior materials because of money. A lot of fake materials in nigeria market these days.

Its a really sad development , we pay lip service to wanting quality, but turn arnd and put the quality second place when it's time to take decisions.
How exactly did the client ascertain that the supplier was giving him quality materials ?
Imagine if it ws some quack who couldn't tell the difference , the supplier would have succeeded in creating a false impression, making the person who actually gives the price of good materials look like a thief.
I tell people, if electricity is uninterrupted in this country for 6 months straight, half of the houses in Naija will need to be rewired. The effects of many fake electrical materials are not felt yet because we barely have electricity.
Only principle and the good heart of a few importers and sellers still keep our markets afloat. There is little incentive for selling good stuff in Naija.

And the funny thing is that as the trend continues, and standards continually decline, the end user remains at the receiving end.
Installer does job and gets paid, seller sells good and gets paid. End user is stuck with his headache

Truth be told no man building a house (something i for one consider a huge investment) would want to go with choices that he or she ... knows ..will fail. A lot of people in Nigeria have no clue what standards are (to be honest).

The functional word being "knows"..... You can do that ignorantly without knowing.

Again,... Knowing for instance, that a fake pvc knockout box can be problematic is one thing.... being able to "rightly " identify or distinguish an original is another. If you're under the unfortunate impression that you have a good quality while infact you don't, your perception of standard is misguided.

With the usual mentality of "e go work".... "na the same thing" .....and our penchant for always leaning towards the cheaper offering without "adequately" doing the needed research and due diligence, why would your average importer or manufacturer bother with making or bringing in good quality?? demand dictates supply.
Even those who have been struggling to keep thier quality up are lowering standards in an attempt to try to reduce the price gap between immitations and originals because they're loosing business.

Look at the attached pics for instance. Two knockout boxes that will appear the same to an average buyer. In the absence of the original the fake might pass any day . But when you compare them side by side in hand you'll notice very clear differences, the diff in price is jst abt N30, but the kind of headache and frustration that the fake can give you under certain circumstances.... you'll just write off pvc boxes as a whole.
Many ignorant electricians will quote with these cheap materials and get the job while a few skilled ones with high standards who obviously quote high quality materials continue to loose thier bids.

Truely some folks (including electricians) are deceived by sellers into buying these fakes , but before you grab that cheaper price or run off and jubilate about an excellent bargain make sure to acertain that the items you're comparing prices of are infact the same quality and quantity.

This is just one of many examples,
the earthrods attached for instance are of three different qualities, with same brand name "furse" etched into all three. none of these will attract a magnet if tested with it (these are different from the normal copper coated iron rods) any of the three could pass as or be sold as"original" so the question becomes how do you know which u're ending up with.

Let's not be quick to make price the first priority. First and foremost establish that the items in question are infact the same quality or give the same value before you proceed to compare.
