This young man was shot in Benin city on 25th May, two days before the brutal murder of Ibrahim Momodu by DPO of Ogida police station in an alleged armed robbery attack. The 28-years-old Oghogho Esihigie was shot in an alleged armed robbery attack at the front of No.179 Siluko Road, Benin City, Edo State. He was shot in broad daylight by police DPO Carol Afegbai and was left to bleed to death. The DPO of Ogida Police Station, Carol Afegbai, the same DPO who murdered Ibrahim Momodu was at a bar in the the resident drinking beer when she saw the boy passing on a boarding bike and shot him; after which she went to her patrol car and took the same type of gun she planted on Ibrahim Momodu and planted it on the victim, then left the young man to bleed to death. This extrajudicial killing is now common in Nigeria and it is very heartbreaking to know that among the crowd, nobody was willing to help a dying man even if he was an armed robber. Human value now means nothing in Nigeria because people find pleasure in killing and seeing humans bleed to death. Everyone has become desensitized to the value of human life. Meanwhile this amateur video shows that the police are poorly trained and CSP Carol Afegbai is into extrajudicial killing. The callousness of those charged with upholding the law and the glee of the onlookers seeing the distress of a dying man is really alarming. The people are now devoid of human emotions forgetting that it could be anyone and even the innocent. Nigeria Government should wake up and do something about this extrajudicial killing and teach our police on how to adhere strictly to due process. I'm sure they all watched the killing of the soldier in london. They should ask themselves why those guys who killed the soldier were not shot to death. However, this video should serve as a deterrent to other want-to-be-criminals to desist from it. I'm not in support of armed robbery neither am i in support of extrajudicial killing. Everyone deserve a chance to be given a fair hearing. This whole incident is making me believe the police are not our friends after-all. http://www.allaroundgist.com/2013/06/an-extrajudicial-killing-of-armed.html#more

The Police DPO Carol Afegbai has issued a statement concerning the death of Ibrahim Momodu. To get the full gist on the death, click HERE. The death of the 22-years-old student lead to the youths and students of Uniben protesting the unlawful way he was killed. Read the full statement of the DPO and the pix of late Ibrahim Momodu's dead body after the cut: CSP Carol Afegbai The Nigerian Police, Ogida Division, Benin City. The On the 27th of May, 2013, at about 22:30 hours, I was on a routine check along with my orderly PC Amadi Idahosa at night. Getting to my patrol vehicle along Siloku road by Obayuwana junction, I parked and was there watching my men doing their stop and search. At that time they stopped a motor-cycle who refused to stop, eventually the bike stopped. They were two on the bike, the rider and the suspected armed robber. Unknown to Corporal Ubi, the passenger on the bike, the alleged Ibrahim Momodu was armed with a Russian made cut to size double barrel gun with 8 rounds of cartridges, 2 loaded in the gun, with one blackberry, one Nokia handset and a charger in his bag. At this Juncture, the passenger reached into the bag he was carrying to pull out the weapon. My orderly rushed to meet them to save the life of the corporal. The rider pushed the bike to the ground and took to his heels and my orderly PC Amadi Idahosa fired at them as they tried to flee. At this time it was irrelevant whether the suspected armed robber was a student or not, because it was at a late hour and he was armed. The rider of the Motor Cycle who had escaped had gone to alert the fellow cultists who were threatening to invade the station to collect the corpse, so the local government was contacted and they are the people that went ahead to bury him. I was not present and did not supervise the burial of the criminal. There is a ban on motorcycles in Edo state that states motorcycles are not allowed on the streets after 7:30 and that was why the motor-cycle was stopped. The University of Benin has released a statement saying that Ibrahim Momodu was not a registered student presently with the University. The reciepts of payment of fees that was being shown was actually forged and was that of Juliet Ogiadumen a student of UNIBEN with Ibrahim Momodu's picture superimposed on it. My orderly who shot is presently assisting the state CID, with information in relation to the case. http://www.allaroundgist.com/2013/06/carol-afegbai-police-dpo-who-murdered.html

Rihanna got raunchy on stage when she called up a fan from the crowd at her show on Sunday in Montpellier, France, and performed a sultry lap dance for him. "Any fellas want to help me out?" she asked the crowd before pulling the young man up the stage. Once the young man sat down, Rihanna pushed him on his back and straddled him.....and then she grabbed his hand and ran it down her boobs and body. This lucky dude is officially the envy of many men around the globe especially Chris Brown. http://www.allaroundgist.com/2013/06/omg-rihanna-gives-lucky-fan-sultry.html

Yesterday, the remain of Ibrahim Momodu was exhumed from the cemetery where he was buried and the sum of N1060 was found in his jean trouser pocket. The police doctor, family doctor and government doctor were witness to it; and the dominations were notes of one N1000, two N20 and two N10. The question is where did the murderer police DPO get the huge sum of money that was displayed on EBS TV on May 29th, which they claim was found on him? Meanwhile, the Edo Political Forum has filed a petition on behalf of the Momodu's family to the Inspector General of Police, Chairman, Human Rights Commission and Police Service Commission to take proper action against the Carol Afebgai. And the DPO accomplice have been redeployed to facilitate further investigation. http://www.allaroundgist.com/2013/06/the-sum-of-n1060-was-found-on-ibrahim.html
