meobizy:No. Where you there?? Cho Cho Cho, you just talk too much without any proof. Talkative. With your propaganda. |
Low engagements on this thread should tell the OP and the rest of you who are seemingly excited about the topic of discourse - Lagos night life, yada yada yada...that this is a meaninglezz topic to be discussing especially on a Sunday. Was posted early in the morning for that matter. You didn't see Friday or Saturday to dishonour with your uncontrollable nightlife-urge-of-w-topic. You can't even pretend to honour Sunday. Even if by pretence. SMH. |
Well, I happen to come from Akwa Ibom State owing to one of my parents hailing from there, and a different state owing to one of my parent's origin. So, I feel I am qualified to weigh in on this matter. Firstly, this whole rant (let's call it that, as it rightly seems like it) is not surprising to those of us in the know, who have either lived in Akwa Ibom at some point, or, at least, followed Akwa Ibom State political happenings over the years. I'm talking about as far back as 2003 and up to the time H.E Sen GOA became governor. Similar accusations have been made by other stakeholders over the years, both political and non-political actors in the state. Are they right in their accusations and finger pointing? I would say yes, and a half no. That's to say, not entirely right but still packing enough evidence and credibility to form a credible opinion (of those who accuse His Excellency of ethnic bias). For those of us who have resided in Uyo and know Ewet Housing Estate, you would know that Sen. AKpabio, like many other of his peers, have resided in Ewet Housing Estate. If you can recall that large pink coloured two storey house that used to be situated on F-Line, then you'll know that that served as his primary residence during his time as governor of our dear state. I happened to live two houses away from his at the time. So, I basically saw his movements most of the times , including when he came back from the nightclubs (which was no secret back then to many) at the wee hours of the night/morning. His range rover would be blasting loud music, accompanied by his escort vehicles in the convoy. I've heard some of his close staff discuss him in the distant past, and they mentioned how he was actually not in the habit of favourite those from the Ibibio tribe in his benevolence and appointments. Those close to you know you to a great extent. So, we can take their words for it, sometimes. About the kidnappings and unalivings that seemed proliferated as at the time he took over from Obong Victor Attach, I would say that these rumours were alive and in circulation as far back as the year 2008. We used to hear it. I won't forget about the case of two brothers who were unalived in Uyo City for their land , and fingers were pointing to The SP's cronies and boys, as the ones who unalived them. I don't know if this is true or if they were simply rumours. Till date. Another widely talked about occurrence back then was the disappearance of many newly birthed babies and their subsequent pounding in mortars using pistols, seemingly to be used for fetish rituals. Once again, fingers pointed to H.E Gov. AKpabio and his wife, and their close circle. Again, this is unfounded with substantial evidence, however, this was the talk of the town for a few years back then. I was living in the state during his reign, and I was often hearing about kindnapoings and unalivings, and the empowerment of some known thugs who made things happen back then. Back to the Ibibio-anang favouritism accusation from the vanguard of the ibibio people. Well, I happen to have been friends with many kids of commissioners in the cabinet when Akpabio was governor, and majority of them were of the anang tribe. We still had some who were of ibibio decent. So, I can't say for certain if it reflected in his cabinet appointments. However, on every rumour, there is usually some iota or elements of truth, and it won't be different in Senator Akpabio's case. Many have spoken of how he mostly favours people (men and women) from the Ikot Ekpene and Essien Udim LGAs in his lobbying and favourism. Careful examination of this claim may show signs of truth. Anyways, what we need now is a united Akwa Abasi Ibom state, and not a divided one. Even though this deep-seated division stems from tens of decades ago. It didn't even start in His Excellency, Senator AKpabio's political era. I currently happen to be friends with his deputy chief of staff, and his Chief Laison Officer here in Abuja, and I would like to bring this up and hear what they'll say about it. 😁 Lemme lfind little harmless trouble. One of them really holds his boss in high esteem, and the other is just passive about it. He's working for his salary , jareh. 😅 |
Marvieduke:As usual the leeching leechers; " two ladies" who were at the scene of the fracas, probably even were what motivated the unruly child to feel he had to prove to them that he was a tough man by attacking his father. Now, where are the two young ladies Gone with the wind! As usual! No traces, after eating his money and his GBOLAhan, once , twice, maybe multiple times! Lesson to other privilege young men out there. Don't try to impress anyone, especially that other gende. Work hard, leave modest and put yourself first before any leechers. Because when things go from sweet to sour, these gum-body people will run away and forget you pronto. I'm resident in abj as well, and see how rich kids hop from one club, bar, to the other at late hours, without parental supervision nor regard. |
pocohantas:You need not to deceive yourself, dear one. You do not care that women get slvt shamed but you are in the comments complaining about men hating the women they fonicate with, and about men being bug hypocrites and being double mouthed, with regards to the matter being discussed. You lie. Lol. If it didn't unsettle and pain you, you won't have bothers to comment about it being an issue to you and your kind. Even that you dignified me with a response is evidence enough to know that you care about what me and men in general think about slvtty females, of which you may well be a part of. You saw a need to respond because you did care enough to . No matter how you twist it to save face. Live decently. It won't hurt. You and you kind can do better. The men, too, should live decently, and this menace in our society will gradually reduce. ✌️ |
Double0h7:Be honest, you're just MAD at the man for saying it boldly in the midst of ladies, and not getting condemned by them. They were mute, cuz they knew he was saying facts. Thank goodness he isn't uglee, but facially and bodily appeasing to the average lady, otherwise, you lots would have left the message to find something related to his looks to abuse him with, out of anger. Hehe. It's usually the go-to resort when you can't fault fine guys for saying things that ladies don't want to hear. He still probably has a fine chick and she may even be in that room hearing those things. That won't stop him from getting some from her , and even any other lady in that room who lacks dignity. These things happen in Nigeria, too. Secondhand embarrassment indeed. Say something else, jareh. Ko le work. |
@ main topic... Why is it so hard for women to stay with masturbation and sensuality? Why? It's more common with females. Just check major chatrubate sites, adult sites, money-for-nudity sites and the rest of them. It's females serving it to the public. Brazenly and sham*lessly. From Africa to the other continents. It's all online. Seems sex is the strongest addiction yet in record. People just can't get it out of their minds and live pure. 😁🤷 |
pocohantas:ROTFLMAO, you sound PAINED and really unsettled here. Music to our e-ears. ![]() You hate that women will keep getting slvt-shamed and judged by men and women, too. Well, a vast amount of women will still judge their kind, the ones who are publicly caught in promiscuity or obscene s*xual scenarios. I know how you feel. That's life the way we came and met it! Till the coming of the Messiah, it won't change. 🤷 |
first and foremost , a hearty, big congratulations to Temi and Mr. Eazi on the safe delivery of their first child. Having congratulated them, my next move is to express my reservation with Temi's choice of displaying her baby bump for the public. This just goes to show you that MONEY CANNOT BUY CLASS. Having riches does not equate to you having class and exposure ( beyond the average standard of the norm). ![]() Did she have to feel societally pressured to have had to join the trend of women showcasing a pregnant tummy in photographed snapshots and releasing the photos?? With all the education and travelling she has undertaken. Nawa. you would hardly see a rich, respected " white " woman, old or young, showing her pregnant tummy in photoshoots to the world via Instagram or twitter. It is usually the African women, AA women, and those from the caribbean nations caught in this absurd trend. Says a lot about us, like it or not. When Nigerians copy trends, they go way overboard with it. As usual. ...like someone else here earlier commented, saying, " a new billionaire is born " A new billionaire has been truly birthed. the baby will inherit tens of billions of naira someday. |
Thanks to millions of Nigerian women of questionable morals and character, CHEATER CHIKE has been getting the support and thumbs up he needs to feign not feeling perturbed by the public outlash mainly from men and few dignified women folks. He even had the temerity last night to post s video of himself celebrating arsenal's premiership win. To further pepper people who are condemning his actions with Sandra. And he got over 9k likes on that post. Tells you how people have lost their morals and sanity. |
badoh:Tribalism is your usual go-to rhetoric. Between your tribesmen and the Igbos, I am not sure which is more tribalistic in Nigeria. SMH. |
pocohantas:You, keep shut, instead. You made it a gender thing in your usual fashion. Alex, rest in peace. That's all that matters. Let some people stay here dragging your ex fiancee this and what not. Gender division. My last reply to this thread. |
Teymanhenry: ![]() Dey play! Just dey play. Loyal + youngies in the same sentence in 2026 AD? Lol. I laugh in Kiswahili. |
BrickandLace:Be there deceiving yourself and consoling her. And she's there crying, right? Is the money showing in her looks or the surrounding edifice? Good money, indeed. ![]() Make more reasons for her, just to save face. Hehe. Women! |
pocohantas:Your own views are always negative and off-point. You this Pocahontas, must make it about the ex-finacee (because she's a " woman " in your usual manner. Defending where no one had outrightly accused her. How many years and you are still at this gender battle thingy. I know you always have one excuse or reason prepared the counter when you are called out on something. Go ahead. Rest in peace, Alex Ekubo. May your loved ones be consoled. Including your ex-financee and ex-lover. |
The WHITE PEOPLE of SOUTH AFRICA are the only useful ones when it comes to rescue missions and intelligence. Just see how they handled this situation and unraveled it! If it were the BLACKS of SA, it would be mission impossible. Part one to 100! The whites made and still make South Africa what it is today. The leading African nation in terms of development. |
creepsyme:Sorry for your loss and may God comfort you. Having said that, it is obvious that your son was a yahoo boi who didn't split the money as agreed with his fellow yahoo friends, or, he was a dreaded cultist brought down by a rival gang. We need to raise our kids properly and do it everyday. Not one day skipped! Be comforted, Ma'am. |
Their cohorts and apologists are all here on NAIRALAND. They hate one another and envy one another. Because he's driving an old edition mercedes Benz. SMH! The usual method of waiting after he writes his examination. Who no go no go know |
Jandminded:Sachet Pure water production business, and/or 500 naira medium size bread loaf bakery business in any city of Nigeria. The average person will buy this size of bread in this price range, more than the amount of more economically stable people who go for higher priced loaves ( 2k and above ). The returns I see them making weekly is high. If you do your market evaluation properly, in busy cities, you can net a profit of 1 to 2.5m monthly. Make sure your bread is soft and free of dirt and mould. It should be mildly sugary and not too sweet. Combined with the sachet water business, ones profit can surpass 3m on a monthly basis. It's happening in Abuja and I've seen it frequently. So, you and the OP are in the same situation abi... Good luck with your moves. |
Funny enough, most of those, if not all of those young men who robbed that store, would be on nairaland reading this news. Is it not Asaba again, that is known for high yahooism and cultism and fake life ladies and men? Is it not that same Asaba city? Anything to get the money, they will do. Only a few of them are sincere. Sorry, my shop owner. One day, they'll run out of luck and be nabbed. Now, their lazy girlfriends will be somewhere waiting for the loot to be sold off and the proceeds spent on them. These guys will be forming bug boys with stolen goods, how shameful. Asaba the h00kup den. The Yahoo den. I'm not surprised. As little as 15 years old both genders are already in the trade. |
Winnerfx:SHUT Y0UR TRAP, YOU woman disguising with you profile. Real men, indeed. The line you all use to manipulate gullible men into doing your biddings. People are waking up. |
........................kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk |
Allthingswork:Wait, so none of you took me seriously and played this game? I told y'all Bayern would win it after halftime. 9 odd s and 19 odds for draw and away win, respectively. One up for Bayern was even 11.90 odd And it's now 3:4 Don't doubt me next time when it comes to Bayern Munich. I know they have already qualified and have rested legs, but they wouldn't have wanted this sort of disgrace from Mainz of all teams. |
Bayern Munich is just going to make some people develop Hugh BP today. Lol. Play this below, second half is going to go in Munich's favour. LAPN7D sporty bet. Use 1k at most for safety. |
We4all:Stay of those hard drugs you've been abusing. Abusing the. Is clearly taking a toll on you. You are the mystery addict lady you initially informed us about. Such an immature " woman " with the emboldened texts. Lol. Your palava. Keep replying if it makes you feel you're getting even with me for your imaginary competition. Ciao. Stay of those drugs, remember... |
Ilamina:True, @ the emboldened texts. 😊 |
We4all:We4all, for the umpteenth time under the face of the sun, let me say that I have already told you what I could. " If it bugs you..." You wish it did, don't you? Don't flatter yourself, hunny. You don't have that effect on me. At least, not yet. " ...but it appears you are pissed " Yet again, you assume. Assumptions are the mothers of all...you know the rest. Just let me be. I had left you. Like I said, get the help your friend needs from wherever you can. ✌️ In the end, it's all about her and not about me or you. Ciao. |
We4all:I don't have to state out all things you expect me to. Get some help for your friend or sister or whoever she actually is, from somewhere else. Good luck with getting her the solutions she needs. Amen. Girl, bye.✌️ |
Gone with the wind! As usual! No traces, after eating his money and his GBOLAhan, once , twice, maybe multiple times!
