BeardedMeat:Before Obi can be taken seriously as a leader, he needs to demonstrate his ability to effectively address the heinous crimes plaguing the South East. At a minimum, he should strive to significantly reduce the crime rate in the region to prove his commitment and capability. Peace |
Feelsgood:I don't understand your thought process, but you really need to improve. I mentioned that Nigeria's oil industry, including its companies and workers, is highly politicized. You asked if a politician serves as my benchmark, to which I retort: who is your benchmark, then? You suggested technocrats, but can they effectively navigate the politics in our oil industry? Dangote understands these dynamics and is engaging with them accordingly. If you don't comprehend what's happening, it's better to read and move on instead of engaging in discussions without adequate knowledge. By the way, I dislike conversing with immature individuals who quickly resort to insults when encountering differing opinions. Nonetheless, I appreciate your time. Shalom! |
Feelsgood:Who serves as your benchmark, then? Nigeria's oil industry, including its companies and workers, is highly politicized. In such a complex environment, who is better equipped to decipher potential treachery than a politician? By the way, I made this comment before seeing Ndume's statement, simply trying to remind you and others that not everyone who claims to be protecting you genuinely cares. Peace! |
asfrank:Me too. It seems we're in another country Ooo, because Nigeria electricity supply has fallen as oil Unions went on strike. ![]() |
Feelsgood:https://www.nairaland.com/8529630/ndume-tinubu-dont-mind-act Ndume is of the same view too, stating that PENGASSAN "serves private interest rather than the public good." You may go and insult him too, since anyone who doesn't share the same opinion with you is either an ignorant person or embarrassing his education. |
ogascomax:You're very funny. Everybody dey claim big man for Nairaland, even person wey never chop. Since your pay is good, I suggest you build your own refinery and allow all your employees to become members of PENGASSAN. ![]() |
izzou:https://www.nairaland.com/8529630/ndume-tinubu-dont-mind-act Ndume is of the same view too, stating that PENGASSAN is only fighting for its own interest. You may go and insult him too, since anyone who doesn't share same opinion with you is either an ignorant person or embarrassing himself. |
Rest in peace, but I can't help but wonder if someone might have taken a page from Putin's playbook. The circumstances surrounding his death appear suspicious. Peace! |
ogascomax:Given your disagreement with the idea that PENGASSAN should construct its own refinery, you might consider an alternative course of action: building your own refinery and allowing all your employees to become members of PENGASSAN. What do you think? ![]() |
izzou:For a productive dialogue, it's important to fully read and comprehend the statements made by others, rather than resorting to insults. I'm aware of ASUU's full meaning, but my previous comment referred to their claims of protecting students. While the name of a union may hold significance, the claims they make regarding their actions are more important. ASUU, while fighting for their own interests, also professed to be advocating for students. It's essential to know that many unions may have ulterior motives despite their professed objectives. This understanding requires an open-minded and multi-perspective approach, rather than a myopic viewpoint. Don't be offended if I choose not to reply to your next quote. Engaging with a subjective individual like you may not yield a fruitful conversation. Nevertheless, I appreciate the time you have invested in this discussion. Peace! |
I am speechless, speechless, that's how you make me feel... |
izzou:Was the union established by Dangote's workers or by external influences? The situation mirrors that of ASUU, which once claimed to be fighting for the rights of Nigerian students, similar to these external forces professing to advocate for Dangote's workers. Peace! |
izzou:You're right. Just as ASUU is protecting students while extending their graduation by two to three years. PENGASSAN is presenting itself as advocating for workers' rights, whereas their real motivation is frustration over Dangote's efforts in combating corruption, which has closed off avenues for their own dishonest practices.Peace! |
Na wah Ooo! Is it no longer possible for a wealthy individual to build a refinery in Nigeria without encountering obstacles? PENGASSAN should refrain from causing Dangote to regret constructing this refinery in Nigeria. If they believe his actions were unjust, they should take it upon themselves to build a refinery and provide employment for those who were terminated. PENGASSAN appears to be merely advocating for their own interests, exploiting the situation of the terminated workers as a front to disguise their true intentions. Peace! |
frog12:Na me lie about the termination? ![]() Dangote is only battling his adversaries fiercely to protect his refinery from their control. It is apparent how these deceitful individuals are trying to take advantage of the Dangote Refinery's launch for their own gain. |
Zico5:Dangote's decision to terminate the employment of these individuals is justified, as certain deceitful elements aim to manipulate union membership to assert control over the Dangote Refinery. By ensuring that more than half of Dangote's workforce consists of union members, these individuals could potentially use this leverage against Dangote himself, putting him at risk of facing mass strikes in response to union demands. The dismissal of 800 workers who joined the union serves as a preemptive measure to prevent this potential power imbalance from occurring. Peace! |
perdollar:Achieving success in the music industry is not solely dependent on possessing a great voice. One critical factor is understanding how to effectively utilize one's unique vocal qualities. Davido exemplifies this by skillfully employing his so-called frog-like voice, which has propelled him to international fame. He is not alone; Bryan Adams, known for the song "Please Forgive Me," has also achieved global success with a similar type of voice. The philosopher Socrates once said, "Know thyself." By understanding your strengths and weaknesses, you can determine the most suitable musical genres and styles for your specific voice type. Many of Davido's hit songs can be attributed to his expert use of his unique voice, which resonates well with audiences. The ability to harness your potential and God-given vocal talent is, in itself, a remarkable skill. With the right support from your family and loved ones, can your own voice take you as far as Davido's has taken him? Peace! |
Show of the shameless, by the shameless and for the shameless. |
YesDaddyTill203:What distinguishes a 16-year-old from a 17-year-old? Hypocrites (Obidients) refused to criticize Obi, they perceive him as a flawless, saint-like figure who is above reproach. 😂 |
cucumbar:President Bola Tinubu is striving to revive Nigeria's economy through a series of bold reforms and initiatives. His efforts are akin to those of Governor Soludo, who is working tirelessly to restore Anambra State following its decline under Peter Obi's administration. |
Kindered:If Forbes had reported that the Nigerian Naira is among the top 10 strongest currencies in Africa, you would probably be shedding tears in your closet by now. 😂 |
Kajaard:It appears that your definition of "illiteracy" might be limited to the lack of proficiency in English, which is a common misconception. This narrow perspective contributes to the problem in Nigeria where employers often prioritize English proficiency over industry-relevant skills. As a result, the country produces graduates who excel in English but lack marketable skills, contributing to a workforce with limited value. It is important to recognize that the individual being mocked could potentially possess greater skills and qualifications than those judging him based solely on his English proficiency. Peace! |
The choice of language for the query may be suboptimal, but it's essential to recognize that industry-relevant skills hold greater value than merely possessing proficiency in English. In order to ensure clarity and effective communication, it would have been more appropriate for the writer to compose the query in Yoruba, a language that both parties likely understand and use comfortably. Peace! |
MrIcredible:The responsibility for Nigeria's backwardness lies predominantly with our governors, accounting for approximately 90% of the problem. Despite this fact, we shift the blame onto the president rather than hold governors accountable for their role in the nation's stagnation. |
Onlinetutor7:It appears that our conversation is unproductive due to your comprehension issues. As a condition for further engagement, please demonstrate your understanding of the difference between 'tribe' and 'nationality.' If you fail to define these terms or provide inaccurate definitions, I may not respond to your next quote. I appreciate your time and hope that, should we continue our discussion, it will be more fruitful. Peace! |
Onlinetutor7:What surprises me about you is that you speak good English, yet still struggle with comprehension. In my previous comment, when I referred to Palestinians who share Jewish ancestry, I simply called them "Palestinians". In the same way, Jews living in East and North Africa are still Africans, even if they have Jewish ancestry. European Jews remain "Europeans", regardless of whether Europe fully accepts them—just as African Americans are Americans, despite the discrimination and persecution they have faced because of their long history and citizenship in America. My primary focus was Jewish DNA, not Jewish persecution. I only referred to persecution indirectly when I mentioned, “there have always been Arab Jews (Arabs with Jewish ancestry) living among other Arabs, some of whom were Muslims before relocating to Israel.” I did not specify the reasons for their relocation because that was not the focus. The main reason, however, was persecution of Jews in Arabia. Just as Jews have also faced persecution in Europe. What you seem to overlook is that being Jewish refers to a tribe, and this tribe can be found in any country or continent their ancestors migrated to, identifying as citizens of that country or continent. For example, there are Igbos in the Caribbean—is that enough reason for them to claim a right to establish an Igbo kingdom in Igboland alongside those with Igbo ancestry living there, simply because they faced persecution in the Caribbean? Likewise, the presence of Yorubas in South America (such as Brazil) does not make them Nigerians just because of their Nigerian ancestry. Nationality is defined by the country one comes from, not by tribe alone. Therefore, European Jews are "Europeans"; they are not superior to their Jewish counterparts in Arabia or Africa. Jews in Arabia are Arabs, those in Palestine are Palestinians and those in Africa are Africans. I hope this explanation matches your level of understanding. Cc: Righteousness2 Shalom! |
Righteousness2: Hoaxen:You're revealing your ignorance here. If you search "Palestinian DNA" on Google, you'll find that a significant portion of Palestinians share Jewish ancestry. Early Jews intermarried with local Palestinians and assimilated with them over time. This is similar to how the Hausa and Fulani people intermarried—Hausa people often retain their own identity rather than adopting Fulani identity, but genetic tests show considerable Fulani DNA among Hausas. Likewise, many of those fighting Palestinians today are not more "Jewish" than the Palestinians themselves; they are mainly European-descended groups who returned to what they regard as their ancestral land. When they arrived, they encountered Palestinians (many with Jewish ancestry), purchased some land from them in the 1940s, and have since expanded it into the modern state of Israel—now aiming to claim all of the land from hosts who are often just as connected, genetically, to that history. This is much more about land and power grabbing than religion. Imagine two groups with the same Hausa-Fulani DNA fighting: one lives on Fulani ancestral land, the other arrives from elsewhere seeking to take a portion, and the support they receive has more to do with religion than history or ancestry. Too many people—like you—frame this conflict as solely religious, since most Palestinians, influenced by Arab culture, are Muslims. They overlook the fact that there have always been Arab Jews (Arabs with Jewish ancestry) living among other Arabs, some of whom were Muslims before relocating to Israel. This is why Israel actually has a larger Muslim population than Christian. The truth is, you're approaching this with religious bias: Europeans with Jewish ancestry are fighting and killing Palestinians who also have similar ancestry, and you're cheering for these Europeans (who, ironically, are not even mostly Christians) while quoting religious texts to justify a conflict that is really just people with shared roots fighting each other. Peace! |

Righteousness2:Gradually, people are recognizing the true nature of Israel's actions. Many countries are distancing themselves from Israel due to its perpetuation of genocide against Palestinians. Dwelling on the past and referencing historical events that lack relevance to the topic at hand does not contribute to a constructive conversation. |
Please wait while your transaction is processing... 😂 |
it's really embarrassing. You have sound technocrats but would rather prefer unscrupulous politicians.
