CrimeRe: Bandits Kidnap 50 Zamfara Elders On Reconciliation Mission by AlphaTaikun: 4:46pm On Jun 08
etokhana:
50 elderly people from Magamin Diddi village in Magami/Faru ward of Maradun Local Government Area have been kidnapped while on reconciliation mission.

Jammo, the bandits’ kingpin in charge of Muntsira Forest in Maradun LGA of Zamfara, reportedly kidnapped them.

The chairman of Maradun Local Government, Hon. Bello Dosara, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust, but said the people decided to meet with the bandit kingpin without government’s clearance.

“We are against reconciliation with the bandits and Governor Dauda Lawal never supported that, but unknown to us the people chose to go on with it,” Dosara said.

Dosara further said the bandits’ kingpin blocked the village access to market, but he constantly maintained giving them weekly security backup to come to the market and return home.

“I wonder why, how they go and meet their rivals, they block access to the market and I support them with security every week,” Dosara expressed his worries.

The council chairman further confirmed the release of 11 people, while the remaining 39 are still in capacity.

“He released some to just brief the people on the unfortunate incident,” he added.

Also speaking, the Councilor of Magami/Faru ward, Bello Husseini revealed that previously the bandits kingpin Jammo who is terrorizing the area had an encounter with the Zamfara State security outfit ‘Askarawa” where they killed two of his lieutenants and catered away their rifles.

However, during the last fasting period, the bandits, who were on a reprisal attack, also killed two Askarawa personnel and took away their rifles.

“You see we are one to one, they killed two of us and took away their rifles and we also killed them and possessed their firearms initially,” Husseini said.

Husseini added that the bandit Kingpin requested for reconciliation after one of his boys was killed in a recent military operations at Kandare village, which the people granted on their own against the government policy.

According to him, the communities sent in a 50-man committee and on their arrival, Jamm betrayed and kidnapped them but later released 11 people.

Hon. Husseini said Jammo is currently demanding N24 million for the three seized rifles.

“We are against any form of reconciliation because we know they are not trustworthy, they can speak one true statement against a hundred lies.”

“The people he held hostage were elderly and he had no reason to hold them hostage; he betrayed them by saying he is tired of banditry and opted for reconciliation,” Husseini said.

The Councillor further stated that he migrated from his ward due to insecurity despite that he is against reconciliation in whatever form.

The chairman and the Councilor jointly called on government and security forces to launch an attack on the “Dajin Natsira” as the bandits never experienced confrontation throughout the history of banditry in Zamfara state.

“They have never been attacked by any security forces and we are optimistic that if the government wants to help these people, one patrol five kilometers away from the village will yield a very good positive result.”

“Whenever the forest was bombed, 6 local government areas out of the 14 in the state such as Talata Mafara, Bakura, Anka, Gummi, Bukkuyum, Maru and Bungudu will definitely be peaceful.”

They also urged Governor Lawal and State minister for Defence Bello Matawalle to come to their aid.

Hon. Husseini said Jammo was the overall ruler of the Dajin Natsira which comprises Bayan ruwa, Kwargwaro, Aljumma Fulani, Gidan Dawa and Kyetare but each segment has their own leader.

The leaders of ALL the bandit camps in Zamfara are foreign Fula militia bandits who have always used surveillance drones and CCTVs even when Buhari was the President. The fighting and kidnappings going on in Zamfara State involves the foreign Fulas and the indigenous majority Hausa people who are the victims of robberies and kidnappings. General Christopher Musa alluded to this same FACT (before he was retired from the Army) in a video interview in early 2025 when he granted an interview.

So, these facts are known to the military and intelligence agencies and the NEXT thing is to totally use surveillance and attack infrared drones to eliminate the foreign Fula militia bandits camps in the Hausa States of the North East such as Zamfara, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Kano State borders with Katsina, etc, leading into the Middle Belt States of Niger State, Kwara North, Kogi, Plateau, etc.

It’s up to him, if Kwankwaso is Fulani, he won’t even win in 2031. Our eyes have opened to the destructive tendencies of those people. Buhari fooled us once but never again hopefully.
He is a Fulani by ethnicity. Rabiu Kwankwaso's father was the local leader of the Fulanis (or Sarkin Fulani of Kwankwaso village) in Kano.

Peter is not very savvy politically and he didn't figure this out even after he was WARNED about the minority Fula political agenda of planting themselves in different political parties to the detrimental of the more populated indigenous Hausa people and Nigeria as a whole by Dr. Kach Ononuju in a YouTube video last year.

Even Kwankwaso was flagged down and is on the Donald Trump-led United States Government watch-list right now for past activities dealing with religious extremism.

BREAKING: Oyo Government Demolishes Building Used as Kidnappers’ Hideout in Adelabu Family Abduction

The Oyo State Government has demolished a three-bedroom bungalow located in the Lako Community, Aiyegun- Anaye road area of Ibadan, which was allegedly used as a hideout by kidnappers involved in the abduction of the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Bayo Adelabu, and her children.

The demolition exercise was carried out on Monday by officials of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, accompanied by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, who visited the scene as part of ongoing efforts to tackle kidnapping and other criminal activities in the state.

The victims, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, were abducted at Elewura, Challenge area of Ibadan on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

The state government said the action underscores its commitment to combating insecurity and dismantling criminal networks operating within Oyo State.

What sort of highly IRRESPONSIBLE and overzealous thing has the Oyo State Government done here with this demolished building? This could have been done later.

It's too early to demolish this building because vital forensic evidence such as finger prints, foot prints, hair and DNA samples that can be further used to arrest the fleeing suspects would be destroyed here.

Oyo State Police Command Operation : Rescue of Kidnapped Woman and Her Twin Sons

Here is a detailed description of each of the suspects' participation in the kidnapping

Suspects Involved and Their Participation

• Kelechi
• Wale Abolalewa (alias “Oloro”)
• Dare Oyedele (alias “Solution”)
• Semiu Ishola
• Adeyemi Ayobami

Kelechi: Served as a lookout at the gang’s hideout. He engaged police operatives in a shootout upon their arrival and was neutralised along with another gang member.

• Unidentified gang member: Participated in holding the victims at the hideout and was neutralised during the confrontation.

Arrested Suspects:
• Wale Abolalewa, alias “Oloro”: A key member of the kidnapping syndicate already on the police watchlist. His arrest provided critical intelligence that unravelled the network. He participated in the planning and execution of the abduction.

• Dare Oyedele, alias “Solution”: Identified as a principal operational link in the gang. He was involved in the surveillance, planning, and execution of the kidnapping. Both “Oloro” and “Solution” are in custody and assisting investigators.

• Semiu Ishola (aged 39 years): Acted as an agent who facilitated and contracted the use of the criminal hideout at Lado community, Ayegun, Ibadan.

• Adeyemi Ayobami (aged 35 years): Similarly served as an agent responsible for securing and facilitating the hideout used to hold the victims.
Additional Context on the Gang’s Activities

The syndicate conducted structured surveillance on the victims’ family, including monitoring daily routines, photographing vehicles and school environments, and attempting to recruit an insider (one Segun, a household staff member) in May 2026. They initially targeted the family before executing the abduction using the unregistered Toyota Camry.

How the Police Carried Out the Rescue
1. Initial Response: Following the distress report on 3rd June 2026, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State, directed an immediate intelligence-driven manhunt involving the Force Intelligence Department–Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT), Oyo State Police Command, and other tactical units.

2. Intelligence Gathering: Operatives used crime scene analysis, digital footprints, and surveillance to track the gang. The arrest of Wale Abolalewa (“Oloro”) served as a breakthrough, leading to further arrests and identification of the hideout at Lado community, Ayegun, Ibadan.

3. Tactical Operation: On 6th June 2026 at about 7:30 p.m., operatives stormed the hideout in a coordinated raid. When Kelechi opened fire, police responded decisively, neutralising two kidnappers while ensuring the victims’ safety.

4. Outcome: The victims were rescued unhurt, taken into protective custody, and later reunited with their families. Exhibits recovered included 3 pump-action rifles, 14 live cartridges, the abduction vehicle (unregistered ash-coloured Toyota Corolla), criminal charms, a battle axe, a hammer, suspected hard drugs, and face masks.
Investigations are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the syndicate, some believed to have sustained gunshot injuries.

The Oyo State Police Command has urged the public, especially healthcare providers, to report suspicious gunshot wounds

US President Donald Trump has angrily stormed out of an interview with American broadcaster NBC after he was questioned about his unfounded claims of election fraud.

"You're a one-sided, crooked network," Mr Trump told Meet the Press host Kristen Welker.

"Sorry. Let's call it quits because I've had enough. Thank you, darling. Have a good time," he said before standing up and walking out of the interview that aired on Sunday, local time.

The interview, filmed on Friday, was conducted on a farm in Wisconsin and was interrupted several times by weather and audio issues as torrential rain pounded the roof.

He was asked several questions about Iran, nuclear weapons and his campaign pledges to keep the United States out of foreign wars.

"First of all, I didn't guarantee no war. Why would I have built the strongest military in the world?" Mr Trump said, before accusing Welker of being "a big liberal, a big progressive".

"No, I'm just a journalist," she countered.

Mr Trump went on to say: "I don't like these endless wars. This is not an endless war. We've been doing this for three months."

The tone escalated again as the discussion turned to Mr Trump's proposed taxpayer-funded program to compensate people he believes were victims of partisan prosecution under his predecessor, Joe Biden.

"I don't know what's going to happen with the weaponisation fund," he said.

"I love the idea because people like you, the fake dirty press, the crooked press, people like stupid Biden … they destroyed people. They sent people to jail who did nothing wrong."
Welker said: "There is no evidence for what you're saying."

Mr Trump reiterated past false claims that the 2020 election was "rigged" and said last week's primary in California was, too.

Welker held her ground, asking the president to present evidence.

"You are either crooked or you're stupid," Mr Trump finally shot back before leaving the camera's view while Welker attempted to keep him engaged.

On Sunday, Welker told viewers that she had spoken with Mr Trump on Saturday about the weather disruptions and that he had agreed to give her another interview.

PoliticsRe: We’ll Never Surrender To Terrorists, Bandits —Tinubu Vows by AlphaTaikun: 12:04pm On Jun 08
adenigga:
President Bola Tinubu has vowed never to succumb to terrorism, banditry or any form of criminal intimidation, promising to intensify efforts at reducing the economic hardship confronting Nigerians.

Tinubu made these remarks through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, on Sunday at the National Inter-Denominational Church Service held at the National Christian Centre in Abuja, as part of activities marking the 2026 Democracy Day celebration.

The service, themed “God of Hope, Actualise Our Dreams,” was attended by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Okezie Kalu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack.

The SGF, while delivering President Tinubu’s message, congratulated Nigerians on 27 uninterrupted years of democratic rule since 1999, describing the milestone as a testament to the resilience and sacrifices of citizens who fought for the restoration of democracy.

He paid tributes to pro-democracy activists of the June 12 struggle, noting that many endured persecution, injuries and death in that quest.

According to him, the government was fully aware of the economic strain, insecurity, kidnappings and displacement affecting communities across the country.

“The government is sensitive to all these pains, shares in these pains and has heard your cries,” he said, adding that Tinubu was addressing the challenges with compassion and a strong sense of responsibility.

Speaking on security, the President described recent attacks and abductions as painful reminders that more work remained to be done, but assured citizens that the safe return of all persons in captivity remained a national priority.

He added security agencies were being supported with the necessary resources to protect lives, secure communities and preserve Nigeria’s territorial integrity.

“The government of Nigeria shall never succumb to terror, banditry or any form of criminal intimidation,” he declared.

Get cracking, buy advanced surveillance and attack infrared drones and then totally BAN in the entire Nigeria, the obnoxious open grazing by foreign Fula herders and their militia bandits' wing. Let them do their open grazing of cows in their own countries of Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, etc. Period.

NDC Leaders in Kano Accuse Kwankwaso of highhandedness, Seeking Total Control, Undermining Party Inclusiveness

NDC Leaders In Kano Accuse Kwankwaso Of Highhandedness, Seeking Total Control

NDC Leaders in Kano Accuse Kwankwaso of highhandedness, Seeking Total Control, Undermining Party Inclusiveness

In a strongly worded press statement, top officials of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the North-West zone have clarified recent internal developments within the party and accused Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his supporters of attempting to monopolize party structures in Kano State, contrary to agreements on power-sharing and inclusiveness.

The statement, issued by Mohammed Rabiu Serina, described as NDC North-West Vice Chairman and Hussaini Isa Mariga, NDC Chairman, Kano state chapter, was aimed at setting the record straight before party supporters, stakeholders, and the general public.

According to the statement, from the inception and registration of the NDC, the National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, appointed Serina and Mariga as pro tem officers. Serina was appointed Pro Tem Vice Chairman for the North-West Zone, while Mariga was appointed Pro Tem Chairman of Kano State. These appointments were subsequently ratified at the party’s congresses and National Convention, making them substantive officers.

The two leaders said they were entrusted with building and strengthening the party’s structures in their jurisdictions and diligently discharged this responsibility until the entry of Senator Kwankwaso and his supporters. Prior to his joining, they held several discussions with him and facilitated his admission into the party. Upon his arrival, the National Leader directed them to work closely with Kwankwaso, accord him due respect, and provide necessary support and accommodation to strengthen the party.

During the state congresses, disagreements arose when Senator Kwankwaso sought to assume complete control of the party structure in Kano State. The leaders resisted this in the interest of fairness and inclusiveness.

Consequently, the National Leader invited all parties to a meeting at his residence, where an amicable resolution was reached: Senator Kwankwaso and his supporters would control 60 percent of the party structure in Kano State, while the party retained 40 percent. The National Leader further insisted that both the State Chairman and the National Vice Chairman retain their offices, an arrangement accepted by all parties.

Since then, the statement noted, they have continued to work harmoniously with Senator Kwankwaso, consulting him regularly and showing him respect in line with the National Leader’s directive. Some even adopted the Kwankwasiyya symbols as a demonstration of goodwill and unity.

However, serious concerns emerged during the nomination process. In line with party policy, nomination forms for State House of Assembly positions were issued through the State Chairman. Hussaini Isa Mariga collected the forms for Kano State and, as a mark of respect and trust, delivered them to Senator Kwankwaso with the expectation that prior agreements would be honored.

Despite repeated engagements, Senator Kwankwaso allegedly refused to allow access to nomination forms by party members outside the Kwankwasiyya group. He declined to allocate any of the forty State House of Assembly forms, twenty-four House of Representatives forms, three Senatorial forms, or the Governorship form to party members not part of his political movement.

More troubling, according to the statement, was his refusal to allocate nomination forms to the State Chairman, Serina himself, or any other party officer not affiliated with the Kwankwasiyya group. In an effort to reach a compromise, Serina personally appealed to him to release at least five State Assembly forms and seven House of Representatives forms, while leaving all Senatorial positions under his control. This request was also rejected.

The leaders subsequently formally communicated their concerns to both Senator Kwankwaso and the National Leader, outlining the frustrations of supporters who had invested their time, resources, and commitment in building the party long before Kwankwaso’s arrival.

The National Leader personally met with Senator Kwankwaso on two occasions and appealed to him to accommodate other stakeholders and work toward a mutually acceptable arrangement. The National Working Committee also deliberated extensively and dispatched a formal delegation to engage him. The goal was to ensure the party in Kano State remained inclusive and that credible aspirants with electoral value were given opportunities to contest.

The statement emphasized that no individual possesses an exclusive monopoly over political wisdom or electoral viability in Kano State. Among those recommended by the party leadership was Hon. Nasiru Ali Ahmed, a three-term member of the House of Representatives who joined the party not because of Senator Kwankwaso but because of his confidence in the party’s leadership and vision. He possesses both the political experience and the capacity to finance and sustain his own electoral campaign.

There are numerous other credible and electable individuals who deserve consideration, the leaders added. Senator Kwankwaso’s refusal has also affected prominent figures interested in contesting Senatorial positions, including Senator Kabiru Gaya, a former Governor and four-term Senator.

Despite repeated consultations, appeals, and interventions by the National Working Committee, Senator Kwankwaso remained unwilling to compromise. The statement said he expressed dissatisfaction with any arrangement that did not grant him total control and threatened to leave the party if his demands were not fully met. He has also reportedly stated on several occasions that he maintains loyal supporters across multiple political parties and is prepared to move elsewhere if necessary.

In light of these developments, the NDC leaders informed supporters and the public that Senator Kwankwaso does not appear committed to building the party on the basis of inclusiveness, consultation, and collective ownership. Their own commitment remains focused on working with the National Leadership and party members across Nigeria to build a credible alternative political platform.

“We are not members of the Kwankwasiyya movement, and we cannot accept a situation in which membership of a particular political group becomes the sole criterion for participation, recognition, or eligibility for elective office within our party,” the statement declared. “Such an approach undermines democratic principles, discourages inclusion, and threatens the unity and growth of the party.”

Addressing recent allegations regarding financial contributions, the leaders clarified that the decision requiring aspirants to make payments directly into the party’s official account was a collective party decision and not the initiative of any individual. They stated that at no time have they approached Senator Kwankwaso for financial support. Prior to his joining, they independently funded party activities in Kano State and have continued to do so.

For the avoidance of doubt, their records indicate that Senator Kwankwaso has not made any financial contribution to the party structure in Kano State or at the national level. The only formal request made by the National Working Committee was for contributions toward the Presidential Campaign Council, a standard party practice applicable to both the presidential candidate and running mate, who would also be signatories to the campaign structure. Beyond this, no financial demands have been made of Senator Kwankwaso at either the state or national level.

Rather than strengthening the platform that welcomed him and his supporters, Senator Kwankwaso has, in their view, engaged in actions and statements that have undermined the unity, stability, and growth of the party. They therefore considered it necessary to bring these developments to the attention of the National Leader, the party leadership, their supporters, and the Nigerian public.

In conclusion, the statement reaffirmed that the party belongs to all its members and not to any individual or political movement. The NDC remains open to all Nigerians who genuinely desire to contest elections and contribute to the development of a viable political alternative. The leaders remain willing to work with Senator Kwankwaso in accordance with the directives of the National Leadership, provided such cooperation is based on mutual respect, inclusiveness, and commitment to the growth of the party.

The joint statement was signed by:

NDC North-West Vice Chairman

Hussaini Isa Mariga

PoliticsRe: Empower Amotekun, OPC To Tackle Abductions – MURIC Tells SW Governors by AlphaTaikun: 11:17am On Jun 08
Ironfaceman:
Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, has enjoined governors of the South-West region to immediately empower Western Nigeria Security Network, also known as Amotekun, O’dua Peoples Congress, OPC, and other local security apparatus without further delay.

MURIC noted that this is necessary in order to address and tackle the alarming rate of kidnapping and other violent crimes in the region.

MURIC Executive Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, made the call in a statement issued on Friday.

DAILY POST reports that the region has in the last few weeks witnessed series of kidnapping and other social problems.

The latest was the abduction of 39 students and seven teachers in some communities in Oriire local government area in Oyo State.

Akintola in the statement urged governors in the South-West to urgently empower and equip operatives of Amotekun, OPC and other local security apparatus to tackle the problems in the region.

He noted that people of the region should not wait until the enemy have their ways before actions are taken.

He added that more personnel should be recruited into the Amotekun Corps for effective service delivery.

MURIC advises South-West governments to prepare vigilante groups as first responders. Groups like the Oduduwa Peoples Congress (OPC) and Iru Ekun should be empowered in order to halt the advance of bandits.

“More personnel should be recruited into the Amotekun Corps for effectiveness

MURIC charges Yoruba Muslims to take inspiration from the Glorious Qur’an on the need to confront bandits. In a rare manifestation of battlefield emboldment, the Glorious Qur’an assured us that our enemies are mere mortals who feel what we feel. They also can sustain injuries and feel pain just as you can sustain injuries and feel pain (3:140)

Embolding us further, the Glorious Qur’an says, ‘And do not weaken in pursuing the enemy. If you are suffering, they are suffering as you are suffering; but you hope from Allah that which they do not hope for. And Allah is Ever-Knowing, All-Wise.’ (4:104)

We encourage Yoruba Christians to replicate this approach to criminality in the region. Bandits have a field day when we turn and run. But they don’t like confrontation. We must therefore meet their force with force, bullet for bullet, stratagem for stratagem. There must be balance of terror if we are going to succeed in stopping these hoodlums,” MURIC said in the statement

ogododo:
2027: Atiku Knocks Babachir Over Ethnic Profiling, Describes Him As Tribal Bigot

Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has fired back at former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir David Lawal, accusing him of dangerous ethnic profiling, hollow contradictions, and substituting suspicion for evidence in a series of public attacks.

Atiku made his position known in a statement issued on Sunday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu.

The former Vice President said it was unfortunate that a man of Babachir’s standing had chosen to abandon facts and reason in favour of ethnic prejudice and conspiracy theories in his desperate attempt to discredit a political opponent.

He said the most disturbing aspect of Babachir’s intervention was not the criticism itself, which he acknowledged as a democratic right, but the repeated attempt to portray an entire ethnic group as inherently linked to criminality.

“It is both dangerous and irresponsible to suggest that any Nigerian should be judged, condemned, or held accountable for crimes committed by individuals simply because they share a common ancestry,” Atiku said.

He observed that by such flawed reasoning, every ethnic nationality in Nigeria could be collectively blamed for the actions of a few criminal elements within their communities — a mindset he said had historically fuelled division and undermined national unity.

Atiku also pointed out the irony that Babachir now sought to demonise the very ethnic group from which former President Muhammadu Buhari emerged, noting that it was Buhari who appointed Lawal to the highest office he ever occupied in public service.

“At no point did Mr. Lawal object to receiving such trust and elevation from a Fulani President. He accepted the office, the privileges, and the prestige that came with it. It is therefore difficult to understand why he now seeks to stigmatise an entire ethnic group merely because another Fulani man seeks the presidency through democratic means,” Atiku said.

He further drew attention to what he described as a glaring contradiction in Babachir’s public conduct, noting that on the very same day Lawal issued his lengthy attack, he was granting media interviews, boasting that no fewer than five governors wanted him back in the All Progressives Congress APC.

“Nigerians are entitled to ask a simple question: which Babachir should they believe? The Babachir who claims to be a victim of political conspiracies and ethnic domination, or the Babachir who boasts that governors are scrambling for his services?” Atiku queried.

He said such contradictions exposed a man struggling to reconcile personal disappointment with political reality, adding that it was difficult to take lectures on principle from someone who spent the morning marketing his political value to one party and the afternoon accusing another party’s presidential candidate of representing an ethnic conspiracy.

On allegations that he had been indifferent to victims of violence, Atiku dismissed the claims as demonstrably false, saying he had consistently condemned terrorism, banditry, kidnappings, and communal violence across the country, regardless of the ethnic or religious identity of the victims.

He recalled that when tragedy struck the people of Kagoro in Southern Kaduna, he attended a church thanksgiving service to identify with the grieving community — without asking whether the victims were Christians or Muslims, northerners or southerners, Fulani or non-Fulani.

“Leadership is not about counting tribes or measuring faith. It is about standing with people in moments of difficulty, regardless of their ethnic or religious identity. That has always been my approach, and it will continue to be,” he stated.

Atiku also cited his facilitation of scholarships for some of the released Chibok schoolgirls at the American University of Nigeria as evidence of his commitment to action over rhetoric, saying several of the beneficiaries had since graduated and rebuilt their lives.

He described attempts to question his competence as an entrepreneur as both amusing and detached from reality, pointing to his investments across multiple sectors of the economy and the American University of Nigeria as enduring monuments to private initiative and national development.

Dismissing Babachir’s overall posture, Atiku said the tone of the former SGF’s recent interventions revealed a man increasingly consumed by resentment.

“His heart appears full of bitterness, and his public utterances increasingly reflect anger rather than reason, grievance rather than evidence. While we do not share his hostility, we genuinely pity him. Mr. Lawal would be better served by stepping away from the politics of hate and embracing reflection and personal healing that can restore perspective and balance.

“Babachir may see tribe. I see Nigerians. Babachir may see division. I see a nation that must come together if it is to overcome its present challenges. That is the difference between politics driven by resentment and leadership driven by purpose,” he said.

PoliticsRe: A Vote For Obi Is A Vote For Tinubu - The Real APC Playbook by AlphaTaikun: 10:29am On Jun 08
OredoPikin:
Let’s break this APC narrative slowly.

APC supporters are already pushing a narrative a vote for Obi is a vote for Tinubu.

Ask yourself: If that were true,
wouldn't Tinubu supporters be happy about it?
They would have secretly kept it within themselves and allow people vote Obi so Tinubu can easily win, but they are telling you and pushing it, why?, because that is not true and that is not the game plan

So what’s the real game?

1. It’s about voter apathy, not vote counting
They know most voters in the South see Tinubu and Atiku as two sides of the same coin. "Birds of a feather". If they convince you that voting Obi won’t change anything, you will stay home.

Stay home = no resistance in the South.

2. Empty South = Manufactured results
APC knows Obi owns the South. 2023 proved it. If people actually come out to vote, the South will massacre Tinubu’s numbers.

But if they create doubt and you stay home, then they can manufacture results from the South to cancel whatever Atiku gets from the North. Low turnout is their best rigging tool.

3. Who is Obi really hurting?
The biggest loser with Obi on the ballot is Tinubu. Since 2023 Tinubu abandoned governance to consolidate the South. Now that South is slipping and the North that brought him in 2023 have left him. Obi presence splits the vote Tinubu was counting on, and it kills his Southern base and limit his rigging strategy.

So next time you see vote Obi = vote Tinubu, flip it back:
No. Vote Obi = Obi massacres Tinubu in the South and limit his rigging strategy. And that is exactly why Tinubu did everything possible to ensure Obi dont get on the ballot. Now that Obi is on the ballot, the second strategy has been activated which is to create voter's apathy in the south with that narrative.

Don’t let them gaslight you into apathy.
Only good governance on the part of APC and others at all levels of government can nullify that projection above. Period.

State Police: Constitutional Amendment Nears Completion, Says Presidency

The Presidency announced on Thursday that the Federal Government has made substantial strides toward establishing state police, with a constitutional amendment anticipated in the coming weeks.

Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, disclosed this while briefing State House Correspondents after a high-level consultative meeting convened by the Presidency at the State House, Abuja.
Gbajabiamila said deliberations on the framework for state police began three to four months ago, following a direct order from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Establishing state police is not something that you do with the snap of the fingers. There is a lot involved in terms of constitution and legalities,” he said. “Thank God we have now gained a lot of traction. Hopefully, the amendment will come shortly, and the details of the amendment will come after that.”

He explained that discussions have now advanced to the stage of fine-tuning the necessary constitutional amendments, after which an enabling law will be enacted.
“Right now, what we are looking at is the constitutional amendment itself, and then the enabling law would follow thereafter,” Gbajabiamila added.

The Chief of Staff noted that the national conversation has shifted from whether state police should be established to how best to design its legal and institutional framework. He said there is broad support across the country for the initiative.

You're right... Even one of Atiku Abubakar's sons was blunt by condemning the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project but he didn't condemn the Lagos-Sokoto Highway (which clearly shows the mindset of these folks when they get into political power. This is where the current Nigerian President 'Bola Tinubu and his team have to sit up. There are indeed deep rumblings from Nigerians with regards to security issues which can easily be tackled with the costly purchase of advanced surveillance and attack drones fitted with infrared devices which can pick up human movements in thick forests and launched LEO satellite for tracking and telecommunications.

The artificial inflation in high cost of food items, costly transportation, and more can be brought down sharply with the massive deployment of the cheaper CNG fuel before the next Presidential election cycle begins. Failure to do all these with a sense of urgency, the APC would lose because even a vast number of Yoruba folks online and offline are not smiling with Tinubu at all. These are the people from his own ethnic base vowing online and on radio phone-in to vote against him. He and his team (which includes 'Femi Gbaja, the national lawmakers, and the Governors must sit up) can still turn things around in favor of Nigerian folks and deal with the foreign Fula militia bandits and Tuareg Lakurawa militia bandits from Mali and Niger Republic who have invaded several Nigerian communities doing all sorts of negativity.

Indeed, it's good to know that the Calabar section of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is already in full swing. Those who thought the project would not go beyond Lagos State would be confounded by their negative thought patterns.

The Ondo and Ogun States sections too have fully commenced. I would be more elated if the Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom State segments commence too.
There are ALSO "two road spurs" already approved by the Federal Government linking Benin City in Edo State and Ebonyi State to the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and that's a big deal. The Calabar section of the highway too is to be linked directly to the Bakassi Deep Sea Port thereby opening up the economy of the South of South States.

BusinessRe: The National Brands Development And The Made In Nigeria Project Office by AlphaTaikun: 7:14am On Jun 05
TradeBeyond:
The Uncomfortable Truth About “Made in Nigeria” (And Why It Might Finally Work)
Let’s be honest: when most Nigerians hear “Made in Nigeria,” they think one of two things.

Either they feel a swell of patriotic pride (rare, but it happens), or they flinch—remembering a shoe that fell apart in two months, a packaged food item with more air than content, or a “local” product priced like it was imported from Milan.

That second reaction is the elephant in the room. And the Made in Nigeria Project Office knows it.

For years, we’ve talked about buying Naija to grow Naija. But national branding isn’t a slogan. It’s not a hashtag. It’s not even a government directive. It’s a brutal, boring, beautiful process of getting small things right—consistently.

That’s where the National Brands Development framework comes in. And that’s why the Project Office’s newly shared Organisational Profile matters more than you think.
Global standards have to be met in order to be competitive. The South Koreans especially did that through research and development centers where entrepreneurs are assisted to standardize their product packagings and brandings instead of leaving it for them to do on their own

and they gullibly follow inciting conjectures and fake news reports fabricated by so-called social media influencers like this young man called vdm in order to drive online traffic to their crappy social media sites. The intelligence agencies have to take down those making these inciting comments and spreading propaganda online because there are ongoing wars and disruption of commercial and social activities in several fertile agrarian Northern and Southern communities brought about by the foreign Fula militia bandits invasion of several Nigerian communities from the West African Sahelian region which requires a firm control of information at all levels by the intelligence agencies.

Suspicious movements of strange people MUST at all times be revealed to the DSS based off of the official contacts on their Website.

Our own security forces here use brutal force to intimidate, harass, mass arrest, kill, burn houses, and destroy lives and properties in a collective way creating more problems than solving anything.

Intelligence crime fighting is top-notch in the western and even third world countries.

Ribadu is just over hyped police officer heading the NIA. No wonder Tinubu have to appoint another person unconstitutionally as home land security adviser.
Succinctly stated. You have a firm understanding of intelligence gathering and criminal forensics based off of Discovery Channel and more. Advanced attack and surveillance drones fitted with infrared devices would have been the best to pick up images of humans in very thick forests of Oyo, Kwara, Niger, Zamfara and elsewhere.

As long as Nuhu Ribadu remains the NSA, he would covertly protect his foreign Fula kinsmen illegal migrants from the Sahelian region of West Africa such as Mauritania, Senegal Mali Burkina Faso Cameroon and Niger Republic (who form the bulk of the foreign Fula militia bandits who are operating in several Nigerian communities as if Nigeria is their ancestral homeland). Unknown to a lot of people, Nuhu's daughter is married to Atiku Abubakar's son as well, therefore he has a deeper interest in protecting his kinsmen.
PoliticsRe: Osun State To Buy New Security Drones After 5 Previously Bought Goes 'Missing' by AlphaTaikun: 6:03am On Jun 05
Osazeidehen:
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has directed his security team to commence processes for the acquisition of new surveillance drones and other security equipment following the alleged disappearance of five security drones.

The decision was reached after a series of security meetings chaired by Adeleke over the past four days, according to a statement issued on Wednesday, by the governor's spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed.

Following a review of the situation during the security meetings, Rasheed said Governor Adeleke ordered steps to procure new drones and other security gadgets to strengthen the state's security architecture and improve efforts against crime and banditry.

"We are not interested in what has happened in the past. Our goal is to acquire new drones and other needed equipment and materials for our formal and informal security networks to combat crimes and banditry in this state," Rasheed quoted Adeleke as saying.

The governor also reassured residents of his administration's commitment to protecting lives and property.

"Once again, I assure the good people of Osun that our government is committed to their safety and security. I urge the public to notify security agencies of any suspicious movement or individuals in their areas," the governor added.

However, Rasheed did not indicate the number of drones being considered for purchase or the projected cost of the proposed acquisition.

The development comes amid a recent spate of kidnappings across the country, particularly following the abduction of dozens of teachers and pupils from schools in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, which borders Osun State.

Kenneth Okonkwo Says Vote For Peter Obi Could Benefit Tinubu (video) by SecurityNgr(op): 11:46am On Jun 04
Former Labour Party spokesperson Kenneth Okonkwo has sparked fresh political debate ahead of the 2027 presidential election after claiming that a vote for Peter Obi could ultimately work in favour of President Bola Tinubu.

Okonkwo, who was a prominent supporter of Obi during the 2023 election campaign, argued that the opposition must prioritize unity and strategic alliances if it hopes to unseat the ruling party in the next general election.

According to him, a fragmented opposition could split votes among multiple candidates, potentially increasing the chances of the incumbent party retaining power. His remarks have generated mixed reactions among political observers and supporters across the country.

While some analysts agree that opposition parties may need a broad coalition to challenge the ruling APC effectively, others insist that every candidate has the democratic right to contest and allow voters to decide.

The statement comes amid growing discussions about possible political realignments, coalition talks, and power blocs ahead of the 2027 elections. With political actors already positioning themselves for the next presidential race, debates over strategy, alliances, and electoral calculations are expected to intensify in the coming months.

As reactions continue to trail Okonkwo's comments, the development highlights the evolving dynamics of Nigeria's opposition politics and the high stakes surrounding the battle for Aso Rock in 2027.
