Just as it happened to Joke Silva, Saheed Balogun, Zark Orji, Eniola Badmus and a whole lot of other Celebrities, Actress Mercy Johnson instagram comment page is a mess right now as she's been dragged for endorsing APC.

Remember she was present at the APC women campaign flagoff in Lagos state yesterday.

What happen to freedom of association and personal choice of political affiliation. Some people have lost it.

Some of the comments below.
People have a right of choice to associate with any legitimate political party worldwide, therefore she should be allowed her freedom to choose. Those from the Ibo ethnicity who are CLEARLY attacking Mercy on her Instagram are HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE and OVERBEARING. Period.

One glass of orange juice in the Ship costs 11.5 euros

A glass of Beer or a small bottle of Heineken is about 14, 000 naira.

Good evening to you, Mr Taikun. smiley

No, I'm not kidding.

As much as I love plantains, I still maintain that they're nutritionally deficient (as in, not having enough nutrients) but not lacking.

Aside that, I wouldn't mind having them for the rest of my life.
The aroma while frying plantains is to die for!
Lol... That is an insightful info there mariahAngel.

Now that you've mentioned it, I'll do some more reading on plantain nutritional value. Perhaps adding food toppings such as avocados and grilled fish to plantains would give a more rounded diet.

What do you think about eating boiled unripe plantain with the peel still on it? Is this proper? I'm just curious since you seem to have more culinary info here.

That last paragraph got me chuckling here... That makes the 2 of us caught in the "fried plantain aroma web." Lol

There are other aromas that I like that trigger that feel-good sensation, such as oven-baked bread, Hawaiian pizza, cakes, coffee, even Cuban cigars, etc, (though I don't smoke).

I like your well-written culinary insights. Keep it up! wink

Ciao.

I still don’t understand why people kept saying reason why they can’t come to EU is the language barrier.

Most EU countries speaks English Especially countries that
are known for popular tourist destinations eg Spain,Italy,Greece
Yeah, we have bilingual citizens in those countries who speak English and there are large immigrant communities from those 3 countries in the U.S., so the motivation to learn and speak English is apparent!

But then for reasons of national pride, some folks in a country like France won't speak English to you, but would want to hear you speak French. Lol.

(You're allowed to have ingredients)

For me, I would've chosen plantain, but since it's nutritionally deficient, I'll go with eggs.
How's it going mariahAngel?

Plantain is nutritionally deficient? Are you kiddin' me?

Fried rice and dodo (fried plantain) all the way babe... I'm addicted to the way the intense aroma of both foods caress my nasal nerve endings. grin cheesy

CastedAyo:
It's very easy to know the age of a woman on her traditional wedding day...

18-21 years: There will be little or no dancing. Rather, the bride and her mother will be hugging each other and crying.

22-25 years: Only the bride will be dancing while the mother will sit and watch with wet eyes and forced back tears.

26-30 years: Both mother and daughter will be dancing with all their might and strength.

31-35 years: Daughter, mother and father will be trying to outdo each other on the dancing arena

36 years and above: The father o, mother o, brothers o, sisters o, and the entire extended family will take over the dancing arena.
Bump.

Lol... Very creative anecdotes. I'll be more attentive to see how this pans out.

Let me do you one better or help your rephrase what you really mean.

All products of rape and incest do not deserve to marry someone who really loves. They should be sterilized right? Are you happy now?
How's it going?

You misread the context of my entire post @SKhanmi.

You didn't have to rephrase my direct question to you. That's NOT what I meant. Lol...

I simply asked you a DIRECT question because I wanted to know "if you would have married her when she was much younger" based on our knowledge of how she was conceived... "I would, because she spoke the truth, and I find that truth in the midst of her emotional turmoil very attractive. Besides, the parents who adopted her raised her well from childhood, and gave her a good education."

Just to be clear, in my first post on this thread, I stated my profound support for her, and her story gave me deeper insights as to the fact that people who were born under her kind of circumstance have emotional needs and desire for love just like the rest of mankind.

I just realised how secured the eSim. For instance people like me who always have their Mobile data on can easily Track and locate the device using either Google find my device or Samsung Find mY device. And it won't be easy to turn of the device except if its an experienced criminal that knows how to turn it off (we know majority of these thieves are dumb only those who work the device fir then knows how to turn it off) but you can still locate the device before it gets turned off as long as you quickly find a laptop or another device, log unto your account and start tracking. I'm gonna go get me an eSim Tomorrow

P.S Does the Sim still Remain active after a factory reset? Or you have to scan the barcode again.
Insightful.

Yes, it's free. A QR code will be printed for you when you get an eSim.

If you need to upgrade your phone, you only need to delete the eSim from your old phone and scan the QR code from your new phone.

I run two MTN eSims on my phone, and they work just like your physical SIM card.

You get the same network reception as everyone else.

Pro:
You get an extra layer of security, because if your phone went missing (God forbid), a thief can't easily pop the SIM out of your phone, so you can track it.

Con:

You can't pop out the SIM, your phone went low on battery and you urgently need to make a call on another phone.
That's cool.

This one will help sap lucrativeness out of kidnapping because the only means of them receiving their high demands will be through a transfer which can be traced later.

This policy is good, especially in Nigeria and will help fight corruption, yes there will be little inconveniences as you indicated, but look at the bright side…….you now have one more reason to give to your dates why you can’t spend BIG on your date nights!

I watched the video of his visit to the East of Nigeria, and he CLEARLY said in Yoruba: "BALA BALA, BALA BOLO", which MEANS "GIBBERISH" in Yoruba language, NOT the NONSENSE you people have been typing online that he said. I am embarassed at the complete LACK of truth and honesty among many of you. Somebody pointed out the full video here on NL of Tinubu's visit to the East of Nigeria and that is when I understood what Bola Tinubu said.

The administrative capital of Nigeria from 1914 to 1991 has NEVER been Lagos State. Lagos Island was the administrative capital NOT Lagos State! Lagos Island belongs to indigenes, just like Calabar [which was also the administrative capital of the British] has indigenes.

Lagos State only came into existence on May 27, 1967. The absence of DETAILED history classes is majorly responsible for you the younger generation mixing up Lagos Island [or Lagos for short] with Lagos State which are 2 completely different land masses or geo-political entities. Lagos Island is a city within Lagos State with Yoruba folks as the indigenes. The REAL indigenes of Lagos State are the Ijebu-Yorubas, Awori-Yorubas, Ogus, with Egba-Yoruba immigrant populations that came centuries back and have become indigenes.

Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN rapidly industrialised the Old Western region in the 1950s with the establishment of Ikeja GRA and several industrial estates such as Ikeja, Ilupeju, Iganmu [Ikeja, Ilupeju and MORE than 90% of today's Lagos State land mass was carved out from Awolowo's Western region, in the May 27, 1967, 12 new states creation by Gen. Yakubu Gowon into the new Lagos State].

Oluyole industrial estate in Ibadan was also among Premier Obafemi Awolowo's legacies, which the Old Eastern and Northern regions copied in the 1950s to the 1960s in a healthy competition to form the Trans-Amadi and Kakuri industrial estates in Port Harcourt and
Kaduna.

It is TIME for the Lagos State government to make it mandatory OR THROUGH persuation for all the media houses to have 5-10 minute slots to broadcast the TRUE history of how Lagos State came into existence on May 27, 1967, because a lot of ignorant people are confusing Lagos Island with Lagos State, and FALSELY claiming that the whole of Lagos State was the Federal Capital which is NOT! History must be taught in schools as well. It's getting annoying that we have to keep explaining these things to the younger generation and some older folks who DON'T READ history books!

FG didn't develop Lagos State.

Asiwaju and his boys have made Lagos the 5th largest economy in Africa.

FG also built roads and bridges in Adamawa,Abuja, Anambra, Oyo, Enugu,Rivers State, Borno, Kaduna and the rest of the states in Nigeria.

If not for Asiwaju and his boys, Abuja go don dust lagos, and Lagos would have been a dead city like Warri.

Warri suppose to dey contest with Ikeja, Yaba and Lekki if toh say leaders with vision like Tinubu ruled the state, Tinubu would have made the City of Warri better than Accra, Ghana and people like Atiku would have tell us is the FG that develop it.

I wander why Atiku didn't tell us why Warri can't compete with the likes of Kano, Ibadan, Kaduna and PH again, the PDP government in Delta State have ruin the city of Warri

No one is condemning the PDP Governors who have ruled Delta State for turning Warri to a dead city, but una go dey cry about Asiwaju who have elevated Lagos State to the 5th largest economy position in Africa.

So these modern switching of roles comes with a price definitely.
@lessonotes,

So, you seem very traditional here. Are you saying us men should provide all the finance for family overheads? What are the proper financial roles in the modern world we live in?

I have a different historical perspective here...

For the records, in most African societies back in the day, women were NEVER redundant. Women contributed to the upkeep of the homes as well by bringing something in besides cooking, and giving birth. Roles between men and women were properly
defined.

Have you also heard of the hunter-gatherer societies from further back in human history? Men were the hunters and women were the gatherers of food crops in the wild or small farms. Period.

Nice thread though.
