SmartPolician:Reps of Anioma plus Reps of Orlu state increase political representation for Nd'Igbo in the central govt. Anioma as sixth state for the southeast actually reduces political representation of Igbos in the central govt. You know this. But because your sort want Orlu senatorial district to remain in Imo state is reason you root for Anioma. Intelligent by half. |
SmartPolician:Onye ara first calls others mad. You have been mad right from other threads where you were opposing creation of Orlu state. Anambra people knew that they would be separated from Imo state which was containing mineral resources when East Central State was split into two for Anambra and Imo States. But Anambra people never conducted this clandestine opposition against creation of Imo state; the type of opposition you people do to proposed Orlu state. With Imo state oil producing status, is Imo state better than Anambra State today? |
Great100000:Oliseh is high with an award he got from a barely known league. Call Mike Obi's name anywhere in Europe, it is quickly recognised. Even at that, Obi's ethnic origin is well known. Nobody knows Oliseh's ethnic origin. |
SmartPolician:Shameful that you literally run amok online opposing the proposed Orlu state, knowing full well that by actions of Olu-Owerri who located everything govt for Imo state in Owerri zone before 1999, and the inaction of successive govs of Imo state, the two Owerri cities became the only modern townships in Imo state. Spouce sucking a partner dry, but refusing the partner to be separated from the abusive spouse. |
pandax:All one could read here is your bile against the Imo West (Orlu) senatorial zone whose turn it naturally is to produce the nucleus, or whole, of any sixth state coming to the southeast area. But you are a Mr Nobody with your Anioma State choice. Because learned Igbos know that an Anioma as sixth state for the southeast is a reduction of political representation for Nd'Igbo in the central govt of Nigeria. If you think of Anioma coming to the southeast to help you fight 2nd Biafra war, you are not a good strategist. |
pandax:Reduced Political representation of Igbos in the central government is what you get from having Anioma State as 6th state in the SE. Political representation and share of federal allocations is why state is created. Anioma has its share and representation through Delta state. Why do you want to deny commensurate political representation and federal allocations to your fellow Igbos in the southeast? Think . |
SmartPolician:Vampires. They created Imo state for development of the state's nooks and crannies. You people from Owerri zone played dirty politics of locating every government thing for Imo state in Owerri zone alone, no considerstion for what can be left in Orlu and Okigwe zones to induce modern development in these two old cities of Imo state. Your Owerri zone has now developed into three or more modern cities. Rest of Imo state outside Owerri zone deteriorated. Now you people are also becoming Vampires on the prospects of creating Orlu state. You |
SmartPolician:For the sake of your Owerri parochial interest, you want southeast legislators to become stupeed. Typical of Owerri primitive greed which scamed rest of Imo state to make two Owerri cities the only modern place in Imostate. Anambra people did not reject cutting out Imo state from the old East Central State, even though Anambra people knew that Imo state contained mineral resources then. Is Imo better than Anambra today? Imo West Senatorial district (Orlu zone) of 12 local government areas merits the sixth state in the southeast and needs to be separated from Owerri zone. |
SmartPolician:Typical Owerri man. Owerri don't want to lose Orlu zone but Owerri zone has used location of all govt establishments for Imo state located in Owerri to render Orlu area obsolete. Reality is that going from past pattern in getting the five states in the southeast, the 12 local government areas of Orlu senatorial zone shall be the nucleus of a sixth state in the southeast area. |
potent5:Talk of creating Anioma state for the SE is used to deceive only the southeast people of no Lefelendum no Biafla who say they want to rejoin with their Anioma brothers, as if the Aniomas are a lost people. They think war will be fought again for Biafra. |
helinues:The latter-day demands for state in the southeast are mere spoilers. Anioma can't be a sixth state in the southeast. Etiti state is a figment of imagination of one or two persons. Going by the history of states creation in the southeast area: in 1976, old East Central State gave birth to Imo and Anambra States. Few years after, Anambra State was divided into Enugu and Anambra States, while Imo state was divided into Abia and Imo States. In I996, Enugu state was divided to yield most of Ebonyi State, Abia State yielded little of Ebonyi state. So a sixth state in the southeast area MUST be located between Anambra and Imo States or from any of the two states. |
Kingsmeal:First time you talk about Anioma state but didn't try to deceive the gullible ones in the southeast that you want your Anioma State to be the 6th state for the southeast. Good. A sixth state for the southeast must be created from Imo and Anambra States or from either Imo or Anambra State. |
Namaster:One day you will drink crude oil to make your head cool. Desire by some sections of Nigeria for continuation of flow of cheap cash from crude oil is what is holding Nnamdi Kalu in detention, not that he committed any offence that warrants terrorism charges. |
TouchNfollow:I thought a president Tinubu would not stay one week in office without freeing MNK. Buhari and company are out of office. What's holding Tinubu who professes to be a man who loves freedom and human rights? |
AsomughaChuks05:Bolded; And they all know that the Orlu state proposal is the most qualified and most just as 6th state in the southeast. A lot of the local government areas in Anambra south were in Old Orlu division before they were carved to Anambra State. Some of the churches in Anambra south are still in Orlu Dioceses. Even without that, the 12 local government areas in present Orlu senatorial zone is enough to form a new state. These Igbos are their own unmaking. |
Lambasta:You don't know where the Police station is wherever you are? Scam detected. |
hisexcellency34:For a minister who is not from Abuja senatorial district to vow that the Senator representing Abuja senatorial district will not return to the Senate, is already a sing that the minister is mentally handicapped. |
EreluRoz:LMAO Who told you that the world is ending anytime? Anytime when? This generation of Nigerians are merely hanging debts on the necks of their generations unborn. It's a wicked generation. |
Dapromzy333:Responding, Wike warned that Kingibe would not return to the Senate in 2027. How could one say another person would not return to the Senate? Chai. This Nigeria don hear nwi from professional election ringers. |
dododawa1:Na so. Only a dimwit keeps all his eggs in one basket. If you refuse true and fiscal federalism, refuse extra states in in the southeast, we return to the trenches until one day, one thing happens in a jiffy. You will lose all the cheap cash from crude oil. |
Augustine2244:The Etiti sponsors are novices. According to the pattern of creating the existing five states in the southeast area, the 12 local government areas in Imo West senatorial district is the nucleus of a sixth state for the southeast. BEFORE NOW. Old Enugu State was divided to get most of Ebonyi state. Abia state contributed a little to Ebonyi state. Therefore a sixth state for the southeast is to come from Imo and Anambra States, or from Imo or Anambra State. |
Because Nigeria is a country of unequal partners. |
AqualinaXYZ:Europeans tactfully dissolved most of the multi ethnic and multi religious countries that once existed in Europe because of issues like this. But disunity among the people of the old southern regions has done all the harm against the southern regions of Nigeria. |
Country of inequality. At month's end, Katsina state will come to Abuja for federal allocations partly generated from tax on alcohol beverages. It's not their fault. It's the fault of political disunity between the old SW and SE regions. The disunity made people of the SW and the SE unequal partners to people of the North. |
thesicilian:He was brainwashed in his seminary years to see Oyibo people as representatives of the Holy ghost. |
AMINDA:What if you had asked President Tinubu to embrace his much-loved political restructuring of Nigeria to enthrone true and fiscal federalism upon Nigeria, so that the zones or regions govern themselves with what they have in their zones or regions, and elect their own leaders, as done in other multi ethnic and multi religious federations? Don't you know that with this our north, our south, our east, our west, talk, Nigeria will be perpetually embroiled in political conflicts that may before long blow open to physical conflicts between our north, our south, our east and our West groups? |
idanone:Rather, black people who are called Nigerians. How can mass protests be held in Nigeria 🇳🇬 of multiple ethnic and religious groups, even if they are starving as they are now, without ethnic and religious colours invented to dissipate the protests? Kenyans don't allow religion and ethnicity divide them. Europeans weren't stuppeed for dismantling nearly all the European countries once made up of multi religious and multi ethnic groups. Because Europeans understood that such countries never thrive. In Nigeria, cheap cash from crude oil in one spot make politicians from all the divides of the country stick together in a most dysfunctional Nigeria. |
Etiko, Nigerians are the least patient people. All over the world, they demonstrate least patience. Truth is that Mass Protests against govt policies are impracticable in Nigeria. How Because of religious and ethnic colouration quickly given to any attempt at protests by any group of people in Nigeria. |
Etiko, you don't pretend you didn't know what happened in Kenya before your post. 1) Kenyans get functioning education institutions where they get better education that enabled them follow their country's budget. Nigeria's education system churns out mostly poorly informed people who are not equipped to follow up with the financial policies of Nigeria's leaders. 2) Nigeria is an ethnically and religiously fragmented country, such that any protest initiated by any Nigerian group is branded ethnoreligious and quickly fizzles out. Even NLC demand for wage increase is seen as ethnically biased because the NLC Chairman is Igbo. Etiko doesn't understand that mass protests are not practicable in Nigeria. |
It's impossible to see any other country in the world where the same pattern of attacks were carried out for years against the country's armed forces in an area of the country, but the armed forces remained unable to investigate and find out the sources of the attacks, and who funds the attackers. Or are the attackers sponsored by govt itself for political purposes? |
.......attacks on the security agencies in the state by yet-to-be-identified gunmen. Every time, unknown gunmen. What type of security agencies exist in Nigeria? How come Nigeria's security agencies cannot discover who has been attacking them in the southeast? Instead, any town where the unknown gunmen attacked security men, such town got rendered desolate by security agencies, more people killed in the town by security agents? And Igbos are most of the security agents targeted and killed by the unknown gunmen in the southeast. From Orlu to Aba, similar stories. |
