I got a similar response when I contacted my alien office for the first time. Now send a passionate mail to the embassy asking for the position of your visa application. They will likely respond that they are still waiting for the alien athotirty in your future place of residence to approve your visa. Then mail the alien authority again telling them that the embassy said they are still waiting for response from them; and copy and paste or attach the mail from the embassy and confirmation of funding from Deutsche bank. Remember to explain to them how soon your school will resume and how long ago you have done your interview and importantly add to your mail that this request should be forwarded to the appropriate authority or person if this happen not to be the right office in charge of this case.

Thank you boss... My school later sent me another admission letter extending my date of resumption to the 30th of October. I have since forwarded same to the embassy here in Nigeria informing them of the new date !!! Make them no come think say my school don resume so why issue me a visa?

But I will still send someone a mail as somebody suggested here and get to know if my application is presently there.

Thank you boss.... I later received a new admission letter from my school extending my date of resumption to 30th of October. All the same, I'll still mail her and tell her the stories and where I am presently... Is that okay?

I just sent an e-mail to the e-mail you guys gave.... and this was their reply:


Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for your email. The responsible authority for issuing visa is the German embassy abroad.
According to German privacy law it is unlawful, to sending personal information via unencrypted email.
If you have any question Concerning the visa process please do check out the information provided by the visa section of the Embassy. Local immigration offices are mostly not involved in the process.

Contact ur city alien office. Maybe someone should help u with their phone number.
U can use IGI insurance. And can also do that in any state incase u don't stay in lagos.

This shows that you have not been following this thread and reading through the write ups otherwise, you would have known how to find the Alien Authority/Foreigners office in the administrative region where your school is located. You would have also known the right insurance company where you can obtain your travel/health insurance at an affordable rate if you have been following this thread.

You can get your travel/health insurance at Leadway Assurance, IGI, AICCO etc. But i will recommend Leadway becouse it's cheaper.

Now contact the Alien Authority as quickly as possible, Send an email if they don't respond on time back it up will calls their email address and phone numbers are in the above link.

Sometimes there can be more than one foreigners office in a region. Even with the one I sent do another search of any other foreigners office in Göttingen.

Pls do everything u can.. Call or mail o. Send ur messages in ENGLISH AND GERMAN.
if possible u can tell someone to help you call them who speaks German fluently.

Sound affirmative oo especially at this time wey ur school don almost resume finish . U have admission nd u need to be in Germany for studies.

Dear brothers and sisters,

I need your help!!! My school will be starting their orientation week by Friday this week and I have since applied and done my visa interview. When I contacted the embassy in Nigeria as regards my visa status, they replied me 5 days ago that they have sent my information to the relevant authorities in Germany and they are awaiting their response.

This is 5 days now... What do I do? By the way my school is located in Gottigen, Lower Saxony.
Do I contact the German office If yes, can anyone help me with a contact information I used google but couldn't get anything, may be I'm using the wrong words.

2) this issue of travel insurance how do I get it just in case I am eventually given the visa

Health insurance done with Nigeria insurance company may not work in Germany, you have to do another one when you get to Germany. If you want to do health insurance that will work in Germany while you are still in Nigeria try AOK .

Please guys, supposedly you may not meet up with the resumption date of your school as a result of the slow visa processing process, what is the best advice would you give to such a person ?

Also, though I have done my health insurance with AIICO insurance here in Nigeria, but the contact person in my school says I will still need a German public health insurance company to certify that the health insurance that I have is on good footing... Can I get kind of letter here in Nigeria
