APPROVAL ALERT

Sorry this is coming late. I've also been an observer on this thread as well. i was supposed to share with the house but i've been very busy lately plus i wanted to hold the visa in my hand first to see for myself..lool (because CIC people are always surprising us) but after i saw what @mackano wrote i decided to just sharing pending the arrival of my passport.

Program- MBA
School- University of New Brunswick

Timeline.
i applied on June 9th
Biometric letter came in June 13th
Biometric done June 14th at VFS Lagos
Medical request August 14th
medicals done August 17th at IOM ikeja
medicals updated to pass August 19th
Passport request August 23rd
Submitted my Passport August 24th at vfs and i was told to cexpect it in 5-10 working days of which im currently waiting for at the moment

Documents submitted:
My Dad's SOA because he is my sponsor (sufficient one)
1.My transcript,
2. BSC certificate,
3. letter of sponsorship signed by my dad,
4.WAEC result,
5 Call to Bar Certificate and CV,
6. SOP (the SOP i used was the one i wrote for my school in other to get admission there, i did not know i was supposed to write a different SOP for Visa,
7. Admission letter,
8.Acceptance deposit of 1k (i did not pay tuition before applying)and passport bio data page.

i finished uni in 2015, then i went to law school, finished in 2016, finished NYSC in December last year (2017) and as that time i submitted my application i was not working then (unlike now). All in all i forgot to submit a lot of things like police certificate and all, i did not even put home ties or submit any information on my siblings or any other thing. when i joined this thread i discovered i did not submit a whole LOT of things and my application looked watery to me and i was scared cause a friend who is an agent did my application for me for free so i was getting jittery.

But regardless i believe that it was just God that helped me out because i was already losing hope. To all the TRV hopefuls it will definitely end in praise. this last week of august will not pass anyone by. there shall be no denials or deferrals just positive vibes only. Thanks to everyone that contributed in this group, i've really learnt a lot.

@jibola, Ralph Daniels, Onyi, Dami, Ruth and Florence, kingfintan it will definitely end in praise

Hi all

Are applicants required to submit the original notarized document at the VFS or a photocopy of the notarized document?

Thanks.

Nogen:

Hi dear. You will definitely get a daycare once you are on ground. I am speaking from personal experience. Sometimes, openings are created due to one or two children who are moving .

Also, try kijiji of the province you are going to, You will see openings in some private daycares. Leave out the Uni daycare for now. Go for private ones and I pray you get a very good one.

@Nogen, Thank you for your response. I have actually searched for some private daycares around the University, but they are fully booked too. I know things will be sorted once on ground, but my concern is the required documentation for the VO to secure TRV.

Kindly check your nairaland email, I sent you a mail few days ago.

HiSignature:
Hi Amazonrck,
Getting a daycare for kids around the university is always not an easy thing; and I can assure you the VO is aware of such (some university's daycare centre even have well over 2 year waiting period on their list). I doubt any daycare will even reserve a space for that long till you resume (that's on the condition you find any). The only daycare you might end up with eventually might be a private one and that can't be easily arranged until you get it.
A friend in a similar situation with you, registered on the waitlist of about 5 different daycares on the province's website and that page was what she included in her application
You don't have to leave your son behind, if I am in the position of a VO, I will question leaving a year old baby with his father.

@HiSignature, thank you for your response.

Honestly, I can't leave my son behind so will have to register on the waistlist too.

mcobex:
Getting a day care centre for him would have really helped as the vo will expect him to be taken care of before you commence your studies. I will advise you leave him behind till next year(though I know it won't be easy for you). When exactly are you suppose to resume and which month of next year will the day care have opening for your child?

Thanks for your response mcobex.

I am to resume September, and they will be having an opening for June, 2019.

Hi croyance

Congratulations to you and your wife once again on successfully landing in Canada. Please, I have some questions I would like to ask you as I am about applying for my TRV. I will appreciate if I can get any means of contacting you personally, either through email/phone number.
My email is amazonrck@gmail.com.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi all

This is my first post and I would appreciate your quick response.

I am about to apply for my TRV, but I have few questions which might not have been asked/answered on this thread and the previous.
I am 30 years old, married with a one-year-old son and I have an unconditional PhD admission offer. I intend to apply with my son while hubby stays back as one of the home ties.

For my son, I have contacted most of the child care centres around my University, but they are fully booked and was told I will be put on a waitlist until next year.

My question:
How else do I show the VO that my child will be adequately catered for while studying since I couldn't get him into a daycare centre?
