Threebear:
Sorry , but BBN will never be a national show again .
It's now limited to a niche .
They'll always come back because they have their hardcore audience, but it will never have national buzz anymore (the way it used to) .

They committed the ultimate sin , they didn't know when to take a break .

Their greed got the best of them and they picked quantity over quality.

Churning out mediocre failed actors and influencers and hoping to legitimize them as celebrities, that's when their failure reached the zenith.

Anyway, Imisi is winning.
You may think that she doesn't deserve it , but she's the only one I hear about and I'm not even watching grin

She's definitely doing something right , that's why she has all the buzz .

No housemate is close to her in terms of fanbase and her voting percentage is off the chart , and they keep increasing astronomically at a brobdingnagian proportion hebdomadally .

There are some people that have made a career on this thread by always hating on the projected winner .

They think that makes them different and unique, while in actuality you're just selfsame with the bandwagoners . grin

They view themselves as non conformists who want to be different so badly while they're mere contrarians , and it stems from deep psychological and childhood traumas . grin

Best of luck to all the housemates ... I'd like to say that anything could still happen, but we all know that it won't.

Three weeks from now Imisi will be crowned the winner of big brother season 10.

People will rant.

People will curse .

They'll say how disappointed it is that Nigeria voted her.

She will most likely not result to much post show and people will say how A or B is the most deserving uncrowned winner .

Rinse and repeat, and the same thing will happen next year , and the year after it . grin

As a very wise man once said " stupidity is doing the same thing over and over , and expecting a different result " grin
As long as it is a female winner I don't mind.

I wouldn't bet on Americans doing something about the guns now. Anyway DC v. Heller was a terrible and dangerous opinion by SCOTUS. They got it wrong.

Oh trust me. No matter what happens to him, it won’t be the end of the mess that’s in the White House now. He was just the distraction. An entertaining evil ediot if you will. But evil nonetheless.

Nothing he’s signed into action via executive orders were any of his ideas. He never wrote any of what he signed and he barely read any of them. He didn’t even know what was on them. The people puppeteering him have entrenched themselves into positions of influence and now MAGA or not, Trump dead or alive, it won’t make that much of difference unless they all go.
Still MAGA follows him above anything else so he shouldn't die. He should continue like that.

Once the orange is peeled and they get their replacement man up in there, republicans (officials and supporters alike) are all going to pretend to disavow every illegal and unconstitutional thing this orange has done. And we all saw them with our two eyes unilaterally supporting him through it. They will try to rewrite history like we all know them to do.

It would be a disservice to the country to let them get away with it. Every single one of them should be called out and held accountable by their constituents.

How hilarious is it that agent orange was so casually cruel to Biden for being old. Even coined the term “sleepy joe” but now he’s the one too weak and old to continue. Who’s sleepy now?

It was funny to you guys then to mock Joe for being old. I don’t hear none of you laughing now.

Call me a witch and I agree because my sympathy for many Americans this period is very expensive.

Who did Texas vote for? Isn't Cañcun Cruz vacationing in Europe? In 2021 when there were power outages didn't vacation in Cañcun? Hence the nickname? Yet, guess what they re-elected him again in 2024 and he is currently in Europe.

90 million people didn't vote. I don't have sympathy, I am sorry.

Yea but America will never be a fully socialist country. I’ve not even seen any full socialist politician to date. Not even Mamdani. We want a mixed society as well but the people this guy is challenging want unregulated capitalism.

Fully agree that billionaires shouldn’t influence govt. that’s what we all want except the right. If less billionaires meddled in the govt, we would honestly have less billionaires overall. Many of them are billionaires today because they’ve been allowed to meddle in govt. less meddling, less billionaires overall.

I really do agree with far leftists being a problem in the movement and my problem with them is their penchant to pick apart and expect perfection from their candidates while the right whole heartedly endorses criminals and rapists with vigor.
Any candidate American Leftists endorse or support I oppose. I will never forget what they did to Hillary, Biden and Harris. Anyway I agree with everything you said.

Amazontopaz.

To an extent I also believe billionaires should not exist simply because of how American billionaires come to be. BUT it’s still nuanced for me. I’m not a blanket no-one-should-ever-have-a-billion-dollars-ever type of person. Is someone who’s a billionaire worth 10 billion dollars the same as someone who’s a billionaire worth 400 billion? Obviously not.
I have always maintained that money shouldn't be in politics. I know money is important in every area of life but what I mean is that, billionaires shouldn't be donating that's why Citizens United remains one of the worst decisions of this Roberts Supreme Court. Billionaire money, influencing policies shouldn't be in government. I would have completely criticized lobbying but I know that lobby can be for good. If I could I would support lobbying for women's rights legislation across the globe so I cannot be against lobbying because it can benefit even the underprivileged. I believe in government regulating Capitalism in the form of labour rights, ethics and practices etc but to end Capitalism to an extent where it stifles ideas and innovation and wants to regulate how billionaires earn money. No way. However, billionaires should be taxed, infact the higher your income the higher your tax, but I believe that everybody should pay tax. The tax the higher income is taxed should be used for government social welfare programs, that's only where government should intervene. Wanting to stifle Capitalists is why you see them influencing government policy in the first place, aside from the fact that many can be evil, corrupt and greedy like the politicians but it doesn't mean that non-billionaires cannot be terrible as these people. The difference between a poor and rich person is access. cheesy

HOWEVER, if the said billionaire is paying their fair share of taxes, their workers are well compensated for the value of profits they bring to the company and MOST IMPORTANTLY they are not being propped up by tax payer money , then it’s their money and they have a right to it
This. Their workers should be well compensated, paid that's why labour rights/laws must be strengthened to avoid exploitation, this is where the government must come in.

The Walmart family of billionaires for example makes sure they keep most of their workers under full time hours so they’d not have to provide healthcare for them by law. They also don’t provide paid maternity leave or a livable wage etc. they are notorious for being the largest company in the USA whose workers have to depend on govt aid and food stamps to feed.

How are you raking in billions in profits every year but your staff have to be fed by the govt or they won’t survive. The same govt that you support when they want to take away the subsidized healthcare, housing and food allowance on which your under paid staff depends? Is there any plan in there somewhere for those workers to actually survive or thrive?

I swear if they explain America to an outsider and they fully understand it, then the explanation was probably inadequate because how does one make sense of the above? You don’t want to pay livable wages and you vote to take away the aid your underpaid workers depend? Make it make sense naw.

I have had a problem with American style “billionairism” where the middle class is paying for the billionaires to retain their wealth and we lose more ground each year. Just as we are speaking, another tax bill that will enrich American billionaires while taking healthcare away from tens of millions of Americans has passed preliminary consideration by the House.

We just watched Elon crash out because his projects that have always been funded by the federal govt wasn’t part of the deal this time around. That’s someone worth around $400 billion dollars and he’s mad the person earning 50k (whose taxes are about to go up BTW) is not paying towards his fun project. Never mind that he’s benefiting overall anyhow.

When Americans speak of billionaires negatively it’s for a very good reason.
I didn't even know Walmart was owned by a family, many billionaire American families are evil. Look at the Koch family funding Republicans evil policies, these people should be out of government and that's why Citizens United I hope I get to see it one day, be overturned. Capitalism is good the problem with American Capitalism is greed caused by unregulated capitalism which is as evil as Socialism and Communism.

I haven't confirmed but I heard that the Medicaid cuts will begin after the Mid term elections so they can blame Democrats for it. How true is this? I haven't had time to research it online.

Oh I get what you’re saying. He might not be progressive for what actually constitutes progressivism but by American standards he’s been the most progressive so far. Particularly grateful for the progressive judges he put in place in lower and middle courts
Thank you. @ijebos, this is what I mean. Analysts even used the word progressive to tout some of his policies and legislative record. That's why he is regarded as the most progressive President in decades more progressive than Obama.

People really don’t know how right winged America truly is. Our left wing is maybe center left in other developed countries and the “far left” is really just left wing
My side of the political spectrum is Center-left.

That’s why people who live in the UK and Canada don’t know that when right wingers lie to them about the extremism of America’s extreme left, they are basically talking about people who just want what basic left wing policies they themselves have been benefiting from for decades.

That’s also why I don’t even see Mamdani as far left. His “socialism” is basically social capitalism where the capitalist systems still remain in place with enhanced programs that socially help people stay afloat.

But I guess time will tell.
Democratic Socialism isn't Socialism, Mandani is not a Democratic socialists in that sense. American Leftists are not Democratic socialists they have socialist ideas. They are big critics of Capitalism as a whole.

IjeBos:
You're using the language of the far right.
They called Biden a socialist far left progressive President, the same thing they called Obama
Forgiving student loans, child tax credit, climate executive orders and so on are not progressive right? They are not the campaign promises he made to progressives abi? Biden is regarded as one of the most progressive Presidents in Legislation for decades. It is not a "Far-right" language but facts and there is nothing wrong with it because he had progressive legislation and policies he tackled that made him different from Obama, his judicial nominees and their records also add to the progressive label some experts gave him. Recognizing trans rights is even a progressive idea, something mainstream or blue dog Democrats shy away from. But Biden did and signed executive orders on that issue.

I don't think Biden lost because of his policies but because of the prolonged media strategy on the right.
I'm not even sure half the conservatives know what socialism or communism is.
And I'm sure if any Dem would have suggested Social Security or Medicare today, the right would be calling it full blown socialism
Part of the reason why Biden isn't in office is because progressives decided to become ingrates and failed to tout his legislative record but instead began a purity culture on Biden because of Gaza. They forgot everything because of Gaza whereas their country was going to burn with Orange in power but they forgot all that because of Gaza and were "uncommitted, Jill Stein" voters. They played a part in the National sentiment against Biden which Republicans capitalized on when they started protesting in colleges. They used it to spread Islamophobia and anti-immigration sentiments, which was one of the reasons why Harris lost too. The Leftists player a part in it. They have been doing this nonsense since 2016.

As to settlers, that's what they are, that's what even Israel calls them and I believe they call their movement. They even have Government policies in place to support them like the "Ministry of Settlements and National Mission".
As to who owns the land, I know some guy who lives in Ohio who becomes Jewish and decides to move to Israel doesn't own the land
"Settlers" by Leftists refer to the entirety of Israel and not just the West Bank or East Jerusalem, same way they use the term "Colonizers" and "River to the sea" because they refuse to acknowledge the right of Israel to exist." It's pure anti-Semitism playbook. The Land historical was home to the Kingdoms of Judah and Northern Israel. Palestinians have no claim to that Land because they never exercised sovereignty over it, but instead were always under colonial rule. Colonial masters in anywhere always had administrative and governing control over their colony. Arabs are not indigenous to the region, they are not even indigenous to Saudi Arabia. That said, if everyone had agreed to the 1947 map nobody would be fighting today.

What is happening in Gaza is happening with the aid and tacit support of the US. That is the reason why Americans care about it.
Tell me how much money and weapons we give Sudan to kill other people. $0.

But we have to stop using the word anti-semite as a means to stop debate and bludgeon people. Israel is a foreign country. And criticizing a foreign country does not make one hate all people of the Jewish religion. This in itself is a problem with what Israel is. They want to be a Jewish state than want to equate any criticism for their government's policies with criticism of their religion. There are plenty of Jews who criticise Israel's policies like Bernie Sanders.
Israel would still defend itself without America, When America was on its imperialists campaign to other regions, we didn't see Americans on the street despite their tax dollars being involved in those conquest.

anti-Semitism, rightly applies to anyone who refuses to accept that Israel has a right to exist, refuses to acknowledge it's a country that must defend itself just like any other country would and believes that Israelis are colonizers who are not indigenous to the land. Many rhetorics like "globalize the intifada" "River to the Sea" "Watermelon" etc are all anti Semitic. When you criticize Israel the way you would any other country then you are not an anti-semite however when you use anti-semitic dog whistles and aim to target Jewish people like many critiques do in their rhetoric of the Far-left then indeed they are anti-semites. That there are Jews who criticize Israel doesn't water down that many criticisms are rooted in anti-semitism.
