@budaatum, what do you mean by "label terrorists?" What happened on October 7th was that not terrorism? Who claimed responsiblity for it, was iy not Hamas? What do they call Hamas fighters again? Are they not terrorists? Refusing to see them as terrorists while feigning ignorance is you indirectly admitting that every Gazan is a terrorists. Nobody can dispute the fact that Hamas terrorists are part of the casualty count, not even the most dumb Pro-Palestinian advocate. 1 Like |

budaatum:Yes, they can do so. It is a requirement in war, the fact that they term all the dead "civilians" and know the number of dead women and children if they can distinguish that they should be able to distinguish combatants. Terming all of them civilians is wicked and an agenda meant to create a narrative and make it seem like Israel is not fighting Hamas but Gaza civilians that is disingenous because I do not want to believe that every Gazan is a terrorist. I am smart to know that. I believe that I am smart enough to question that if you can estimate the dead and never fail to mention women and children among the casualties you can do same for the combatants who are terrorist hence my valid question and I expect you to be smart enough to know this. 1 Like |

IjeBos:They are terrorists too. I am against Israeli occupation and with that said you cannot equate Hamas to settlers sha. One is settling because the territory is not sovereign or a recognised state hence the incursion. If Palestinians were very serious about governing they would have become a state and exercised their sovereignty in the West bank and none of this would be happening. Even when Israel left Gaza, they left it in a good state, they elected Hamas who turned it into a wasteland. Shapiro was right they are too battleminded to govern and that is why unfortunately they will keep suffering. The other wants to exterminate a Jewish state that just wants to exist. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: American Politics Thread - 2024 Elections — Biden’s Presidency! by AmazonTopaz(f): 8:52pm On Aug 06 |
AmazonTopaz: Again, incase you all don't know when Palestinians die in this war they are labelled matyrs. Google the meaning of "matyrs" and tell me why I should not also see this war as a religious one. You think that it was about land that made the Arabs living in Palestine team up with Hitler to exterminate the Jews? You think that it was only because of land that the Arab states attacked Israel in 1948? Antisemitism was part of it, Muslims just like Christians have an antisemitism problem. If those Arabs had cared about Palestinians Egypt and Jordan would not have annexed the West bank and the Gaza strip and take it as their own instead they annexed it and failed to give it independence because the whole fighting had never been about land but Jew hatred, how people don't see this and read about their violent rhetoric and history is beyond me. Israel took it back when they won the war and gave it to Gazans when they left Gaza in 2005. In which after a year those people elected terrorists Hamas. If they wanted governance they wouldn't vote for terrorists who want to kill the Jews. The same Palestinians that their Arab neighbours have abandoned and embraced peace after Israel seriously dealt with them in those wars. If Palestinians had sense they would have been peace eons ago but you have dummies in the West carrying water for terrorists and want me to see these people who rejected having statehood in 1948 but were more interested in not sharing a land that never belonged to them as victims. They are no victims, my sympathies are for the Congolese, Sudanese, Syrians and Yemenis that are going through hell. |

@ijebos, the two intifadas that happened who suffered the consequences? What makes you think that chanting intifada when you are not militarily superior is a good thing? Protesters chanting intifada and glory to the resistance are idiots. They are not resisting anything they are only angry that they are losing, how can you want to free Palestine yet at the same time chant for an intifada when it did not go well the last time and only made matters worst? That is not how you free Palestine that is how you cause it to suffer. In regards to the article you shared, there is no mention of Netanyahu using it. I didn't see it there let me break down what "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" means. Israel is situated between the Jordanian River and the Meditterenean sea when you use that slogan which is used by terrorists groups such as Hamas whose aim is to wipe Israel off the map because they do not believe in a two-state solution or peaceful co-existence then it means that you are a genocidal maniac who simply doesn't understand that a majority of Palestinians do not want to free Palestine but rather believe that Israel has to be gone for Palestine to exist because from the Jordanian river to the Meditterenean sea where Israel sits belongs to Palestine and that is simply not true. It was never the Arabs own and the UN partitioning of 1947 affirms this. They don't want a two-state solution. The slogan is genocidal and as long as they do not stop this pointless grievance we will all die and leave this world and Israel will still be dealing with Palestinians. Lastly, my faith is somewhat between Christianity and Deism or inbetween and my support for Israel has nothing to do with religion. Religion doesn't interest me that much and it definitely does not influence my decision making and ideology. I don't believe that Jews are a special people or believe the Bible to be infallible. My support for Israel is the common sense position as someone who believes in liberties and democracies. What Hamas represents is none of that, what the Palestinians support and teach their children is none of that. The war is also a religious one too, if you think I am lying ask Palestinians and other Muslims why they refer to the casualties as matyrs, also ask them why they believe that dying while killing or trying to kill a Jew is matyrdom? read Hamas'charter Muslims hate Jews. There are wars Muslims are suffering in Yemen and Syria but no one complains about the unfortunate death count but they do care when it is the Jews in Israel doing it. 1 Like |

@Ijebos I believe that you are an intelligent fellow so what do you mean by wanting me to define terrorists i hope that you are not asking me this question to try and defend Hamas? I am not the founder of English language but let me break it down for you according to the dictionary. A terrorists is someone who uses unlawful means such a violence, fear and intimidation to threaten civilians in the pursuit of a political goal. Now, in line with this definition let me tell you how Hamas are a terrorists group. Hamas the political representative of Gaza which was founded in the 1980's has in it's earlier charter that it aims to annihilate the Jewish state, read article 7 of the charter. Wanting to exterminate a people and a nation is not just a political ideology but genocidal too. How does Hamas go about this objective, it is very simple attacking unarmed civilians and killing them was done through violence, intimidation and fear, it is unlawful because it is not lawful to take a life without justification, what was Hamas' justification in killing civilians which included foreigners on October 7th. Hamas' leaders live large in Gaza and use their money to buy ammunitions and weapons instead of focusing on governing. With this very little points of mine, did I fail to convince you that these terrorists indeed fall into the category of what it means to be terrorists or need I say more? 1 Like |

IjeBos:Guy did your data show the number of terrorists dead in Gaza? That is my issue and it is very valid and not based on bias. It is a rational and sensible question that will be asked after the war ends. Did not see where I stated that releasing figures without distinguishing combatants from non-combatants is an indicator of an agenda that wants to drive a narrative that Israel started the war when infact it did not? That is what the Gaza health ministry controlled by Hamas is doing and this disingenous intention of theirs is enough to question the death data that they release. You are a data guy but you do not work for the Hamas controlled Health ministry. In a war there are casualty figures of combatants and non combatants in this war everyone in Gaza is a woman and child including the Hamas fighters that we know the IDF is fighting against in Gaza and that is not possible, when the Gaza ministry of health begin distinguishing the dead just like how it is done in war then I will take them seriously, conflating the death toll which I still don't trust is to drive out sentiments and make it seem like it is not a war that Hamas started but that Israel just sat down and started without provocation and we all know that it is a lie . |
