folake4u:
1. Sometimes I wish I were a ghost and having the ability to appear and disappear in different places and times. This reminds me of The Invisibility Cloak in Harry Potter. When I was a child, I wished it was very real. Currently, my wish is to be in the inner chambers of World Leaders and know their deepest secrets and fears, including Tinuboo. I like amebo like that.

2. To me, Marriage is a contract agreement signed by both parties. I think people should see their spouse as business partners in the success/failure of their institution.

3. My infectious laughter. It's annoying but also makes you laugh.

4. I've ALWAYS admired Dora Akunliyi. Even in her death, I don't think I've heard Nigerians say mean things about her or family. I also admire NOI and Oby Ezekwesili. Recently, I love and greatly admire Kenya lawyer and parliamentarian, Millie Odhiambo Mabona. She made me read the book, "Nice Girls Don't Get The Corner Office: Unconscious Mistakes Women Make That Sabotage Their Careers"

I like fierce women. Always and always.

5. Germany. I've ALWAYS loved Germany since my childhood because of the movie, "The Sound of Music" and its historical background. But their migration policies are stiff, so Canada for Global Freedom and easy pathway to Citizenship.

6. I admire Men's AUDACITY. They should replace the original meaning in the dictionary and put:

Word |Meaning
Audacity | Men.

7. Omooo×1million. I really can't say but the love from my family is insane. It even overchokes me most times but Damn! My true friends love me too. I could randomly complain about something and get it figured out sooner or later.

Thank you AmazonTopaz for tagging me.

This observation isn't true. No I don't have any personal crisis. I thank God for my well being.
All is well oo.

You're not wrong.
But I think it is Church/Christianity in general.
But, I have been to some Catholic Churches that do a good job of not shying away from some of the inherent contradictions. And the ones that I have been to also do a very good job of outreach surrounding volunteering (serving the community) and social justice.
I found my faith again and I have centered it solely around Christ. I don't like going to Church but I enjoy NSPPD and Streams of Joy Sunday services on YouTube. It's only Pastor Jerry Eze I listen to his teachings and prayers these days. The Church is sometimes a breeding ground for abuse, sexism, classism and what not. Anyway this is a discussion for another day.

As you all know, I’m very critical of the church especially the Catholic Church. As a Catholic born and raised, I saw and experienced the harms of religious bigotry/hypocrisy first hand. This is a pope I can actually get behind. The maga tears about him help smoothen the process ngl.
I am a big critic of the Catholic Church it's history is ugly. I was once a Catholic. It's such a patriarchal and sexist institution.
Anyway, I would write about my criticisms later.

1. If I could see the world through someone else's eyes I don't know who that would be but I have always been fascinated about seeing the world through the eyes of an Eagle or any other fascinating bird. "Birds eye view" in the literal sense of it. grin

2. Marriage is, a lifetime commitment that mustn't last for life if you are not fulfilled but while in it you must each give 100% and put in your best to make it up. Make sacrifices and compromises (from both sides and not only the woman) and don't be selfish. Remember you are in a partnership so it just isn't about you anymore.

3. What makes you you, My empathy, my search for knowledge and valuing critical thought makes me me.

4. Who is or who was your role model, United States Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor is my role model, I hope I get to meet her someday and talk to her. A very humble and humane Justice who is concerned about the oppressed and marginalized a huge critic of the American Criminal Justice system, defender of women's rights and minority rights as well. A Liberal Jurists in every sense of it. Intelligent and highly accomplished woman of her time whose brilliants got her a scholarship to Ivy League Universities. She is inspirational. Hopefully she is alive to officiate my wedding when the time comes, people who know me know that I love her. cool

5. Which country would I like to be born into in my next life? Why, Any Scandinavian country particularly Norway or Sweden. They are very pro-feminists, pro-women, very peaceful and don't have a high population. Luxembourg is also good and quite progressive as both aforementioned countries.

6. One thing you admire about the other sex, nothing at all, I am however amazed at where they buy their audacity I would love to go to that market and see what they are selling because many Nigerian men on Twitter, Nairaland and every day life are big time fools. Tueh. Who have very terrible audacity when talking and dealing with women. Foolish creatures.

7. What was the most meaningful gift that you have ever received, prayers and love from family and friends. They are the most important gifts for me.

I am tagging Folake4u and Cococandy to share theirs if they are interested.

Maeve7, I am done.

Hopefully his choice of the name Pope Leo speaks itself.
The Conservative Catholic Cardinals in the US are going to have ot do some soul searching as this seems to be a continuation of Pope Francis.
As long as he is anti-MAGA judging from his tweets and MAGA doesn't seem to like him I am good.

My friend Georgina Onuoha posted and I agree.

Let’s pray he will be as strong or even stronger advocate against injustice than pope Francis was.
Same here. I was annoyed when I heard it was an American but he seems humane so time will tell. MAGA seems to hate him already and that makes me happy.

True it could be longer but after one week of them not being able to harass you, they will probably mellow down and find something better to do. A lot of these trolls feed on attention. As soon as they’re not able to get their fix, they’ll lose interest and slither away. And if they come back and try again, bam blocked again!
I don't care if they mellow I will be renewing my subscription every week and doing the needful. cheesy

Indiana house passes bill to jail homeless people. Just like it says in project 2025.

Mind you, you can lose your home due to chronic illness. If that happens to you, Indiana Republicans think you belong in jail.

Also the same party consistently against affordable healthcare. Won’t vote for affordable healthcare. Won’t vote against corporate greed that allows Americans to be extorted for everything including healthcare costs.

If you can’t pay and end up homeless, too bad. Off you go to jail.
These people are demons.

The dress protocol for men attending the Pope's funeral was Black suit and long tie. The Orange idiot who loves to be the center of attraction for the wrong reasons wore a Blue suit.
This was how he broke protocol when walking with the Late Queen Elizabeth and instead walked in front of her.

What a proverbial fool.

You’re absolutely correct. They grossly overestimate the intelligence of the American population. The ones who believed democrats are aborting babies up to one year after birth and that schools are performing plastic surgeries during lunch breaks are definitely not the kind of people who have the capacity to understand anything above 3rd grade level. They’re in their millions and they all voted.

The depth of what needs to be understood cannot be fully explored with the current mindset and education level of the average American now. The only thing that can make them vote is mind addling propaganda or extreme suffering. And the suffering might not even work if the punisher has them convinced via propaganda that the other side is responsible.

Democrats need to work on becoming propagandists.
They need a slow simple slogan to communicate this. 3 to 5 words max.
I agree that Democrats need to be propagandists and conspiracy theorists if possible the difference is that they wouldn't be lying.
However, I don't believe messaging is the problem. The average American voter is wicked and an idiot. They are genuinely dumb and have no knowledge on anything that's how Republicans like them. Uneducated and stupid. It's not a messaging problem. Many people knew what they were doing when they voted for Orange fool over Kamala. grin
