Why implement Sharia in a secular country? If they had kept their sharia strictly for Muslims, wahala for no dey But in a secular nation, you want people to act like Muslims because you have a useeless law, that no go dey possible ooo Christians have been too tolerant of this their naunsense Anything that will liberate us is welcomed at this point |

asolocoaso: A nation must stand firm in defense of its sovereignty. Any external maneuver that threatens our stability is not a game we accept lightly; Nigeria has earned its dignity and must guard it.
Those who lecture us should also reflect on their own history. Moral authority isn’t purchased; it’s practiced. Our priority is ensuring internal cohesion and loyalty to the state. Anyone occupying public office must serve Nigeria fully, without hidden agendas or divided commitments.
Pretending unity while tolerating those who quietly undermine the nation is a recipe for erosion. National strength requires clarity, accountability, and a shared commitment to our collective future.
Nigeria rises when Nigerians stand aligned. The Northerners think they are wise, your people are killing others and you kept quiet, now wey person wey pass them don reason their matter, they want the same people they are killing to support them as how?? |

But if what bashir Ahmed said in reaction to US interfering about Sharia law..then he has a point in principle..
Trump has no right to dictate internal religious or legal system..unless there is a clear human right violence Sharia is a religious law, it doesn't have a space in a circular economy as ours A country should not be practicing two different laws Hope you get |

Politics › Re: 'Country Of Particular Concern': Trump Was Misinformed - Shehu Sani by ambale(m): 12:01am On Nov 02, 2025 |
ALTERNATEID: While we cannot in all honesty wish away the cruel and evil killing of minorities in the north central states of Kwara, Benue, Plateau, southern kaduna etc, i strongly believe that the recent interest of the Trump administration is based on economic agenda and nothing altruistic. In this regard, I don’t think Donald Trump was misinformed.
Trump recently placed a 15% tariff on Nigeria and the country responded by banning the importation of 25 certain items from the country. The Tinubu administration has also been working on increasing local refining of petroleum products. Recently, a 15% tax on PMS importation was introduced to further discourage importation of petroleum products. This has seriously affected European and American refineries which are owned by Trump and his big oil buddies. They are not happy that Nigeria is prioritizing energy independence at the detriment of American and European oil companies.
Again, Nigeria’s recent romance with BRICS is unsettling the Trump administration. The BRICS countries are planning to issue a new currency so as to sidestep the US dollars and Nigeria has signed up to be a part of the BRICS monetary union. Trump had vowed to make sure this does not happen. The Yuan - Naira currency swap between China and Nigeria that has recently helped to strengthen the Naira is also another source of concern to the US.
So, a combination of all these issues plus Nigeria’s stance against the GAZA genocide is why Donald Trump is targeting the Nigeria government. If they can’t control Nigeria, they will do everything possible to destroy the country. Go to Niger State, and start to dey preach make your mind dey These guys are not tolerant, even inside Abuja dem still dey wan carry their craze enter sef Make Una dey fear God in what una dey do ooo |

LibertyRep: This is a very delicate issue.
While it's true that the US may be hypocritical as they've been fingered to be one of sponsors of Boko haram, it's also cheer recklessness and inefficiency of Nigeria government officials publicly signing peace deals with the armed bandits.
What message are you passing across? More baffling is the pardoning and integration of the so called repentant terrorists into the Nigerian Army, who does that? Now we have report of these 'repentant' fellows leaking troupes strategies to their former commandants.
I support a harsher voice on the Nigerian Government to stand up to its feet and not surrender to the bandits. These rag tags can't be superior to the military with land and air fire powers.
Yes, the US and other world powers could come to our aid upon invitation only and NOT do anything to violate our sovereignty.
Nigeria government and her military must act fast and decisively now, else they are maior accomplices. Enough should be enough. What has the US government said about the tribe perpetrating the land grabbing and disposing people of the ancestral land that is new to anyone in Nigeria.? Do we want to pretend we do not know the tribe that imported their tribesmen from other neighbouring countries to take over our forest, almost unhindered. Who does not know the tribe notorious for these crimes, while the government seems incapacitated or just look on?
Ok, for all the bandits that have been negotiated with, which tribe do they majorly belong to ?
We can continue to bury our heads like the ostrich. The fact that Nigerians are not even on the streets changing for this government is the height of it all Imagine the president denying the obvious Who are the bandits? What's their mission?? Where do they carry out operation more if not Christian dominated areas And yet the government met with them and start begging them They shot themselves in the foot with that policy |

Max24: At least Osibanjo being Buhari VP gave some people a sense of religious acceptance. Yes, I am for Tinubu but we have to address some of these concerns. We must call a spade a spade. Northern Christians have been persecuted for years and did not start under Tinubu. Boko Haram persisted in the North because Northern Muslims allowed it. Guess what, half of our National budget goes to Northern insecurities - from Boko Haram to banditry . Imagine if we had channeled this to infrastructure and development. So I ask myself now ; Is the North with its constant insecurity an asset or liability to Nigeria? Infact I'm surprised that we are even having divided opinions here Something that's glaring, go to major northern states and see them.burn churches, molest Christians, na everything news dey carry And these guys attack mainly Christian dominated areas or wherever they think Christians are planning to settle And if there's anything about Northerners, they don't fight whoever believe in what they believe in, even Muslims dey kill are the ones who are accepting Christians as neighbors and giving them shelter We know all this thing haba |

There is a reason why unions go on strike frequently. Nigeria is a poor country. Our budget is wack before we even talk about corruption. There are other ways we can go about this, the government can make the people subscribe to health insurance, compel companies, government officials to use Nigerian hospitals for any health related issues and you will see how they will pump money there But since it's just us the people, why should they be concerned? |

hotseat: What the US has just succeeded in doing is call a dog a bad name and hang it.
In truth, no human being deserves to be killed extrajudicially no matter what.
So it not a question of how many Christians or Muslims are unjustifiably killed.
This picture of "Christian genocide" has been painted and sustained because the authorities have never meant business when it comes to dealing with the issues of insecurity in the country.
They have always appeared lackadaisical instead of attacking the issues head-on.
When Muslims are killed, the common response from mainly Southerners is "na dem-dem" or simply "Hausa kill Fulani, wetin be my consign".
The USA can't claim to love Nigeria more than Nigerians.
What we are experiencing in Nigeria today are citizens who are either disgruntled or simply unpatriotic.
They are sheer sadists who jubilate over any negative news to happen to Nigeria, their supposed country.
@hotseat What you should ask yourself is that who are these killers?? Fulanis ofcourse dominated by Muslims, and from research, they don't attack themselves except you become an unbeliever which is either you leave Islam or you start leaving neutral, so connect it together and you will get your answer |
