GabrielYulaw:"If it's an overheating issue, does that mean the bodyguard was designed for use In cold climates?" Probably in a sense. However, the ones that are sold in Nigeria are specially designed with Nigerian peculiarity including our climate. On the other hand, it could be a particular batch of this very make that has the defect. The only solution the Service Center proffered was software upgrade, which didn't have result. |
GabrielYulaw:Bro, i bought it from Fouani (Authorized dealer), and i did exchange hot words with them at the very earliest. They took it for fixing three good times at their service center. LG Lagos office was also involved (i am in Warri). The 4th time they had to give me another player, and that was when i thrashed the idea of visiting the service center the 4th time having realized it's a factory defect. As per the review, if you diligently check the internet, even LG customer service handle, Fouani, .... some customers review of this LHD687 1250w is negative: you will see this very complaint in some of the reviews. Samsung has been my go for anytime any day. I decided to buy the bodyguard because of its' artistic elegance design, and the beauty it adds to your living room. |
GabrielYulaw:LG is a popular brand, no doubt. However, this LG home theater bodyguard LHD687 1250w product (not the 1000w) has factory problem. You can't detect the problem at the showroom, at the point of purchase. it takes probably above an hour before the filter sound fades away, and the sound becomes dull: the thrill, the melody of the music, the general output production is no loner sharp. Put it off for some minutes, and put it on again and the the sound returns to normal, and the circle continues like that. But if your AC is on, the LG plays normally. Running the AC because of sound system is additional cost viz-a-viz power consumption. I am beginning to think either capacitor, IC or the main board could be the problem. |
GabrielYulaw:Thanks Gab for your suggestion. I think this LG bodyguard home theater 1250w has a default factory problem. I did return the first player because of same problem and they replaced it with the current one i am using which is still exhibiting same problem. However, as suggested, i will look for a competent electronic repairer to fix it. The LG service center i took it to couldn't find solution to it. |
I know this is off the topic. Please accept my apologies. My LG home theater bodyguard 1250w, the volume (the filter sound) usually goes down (it's like fading away) while playing after some time. I observed the player heats up after some minutes of play. I also observed it doesn't heat up when the AC is on, and it plays well. Please if anyone has experienced this and was able to fix it, kindly be of assistance to a brother. Note: i bought it from Fouani, took it back for repairs all to no avail. Please I am here waiting for your replies. Thank you |
nwaozzugwor:I appreciate your response. Thank you |
nwaozzugwor:Thanks for the response and the suggested step to maintain it. I actually bought the battery with the gen. I hope this doesn't question the originality of the gen. Please reply to my worry. Thanks once again. |
Profs in the House, My battery head is discharging acid thereby rusting the bolt and the nut that tighten the cord head which connects the battery head. Please what could be the cause, what could be the effect on the generator, and what actionable steps to correct it? Thanks for your replies! |

Good morning Professionals in the house. Please my "better pass neighbour gen exhaust has 3 opening, will it increase the fuel consumption? Originally, it was 1 opening until recently when part of the exhaust fell off opening two more holes. |

Good evening House! I removed the oil filter cap of my ECO49990ES and the oil poured out. Does this mean the the oil is is over gauged? Note: the gen was on a level surface. Thanks for your responses |
Ambihill:Please, getting 10w-30 in Warri is a herculean effort. Can 5w-30 be a substitute? Thanks in anticipation of your feedback |
Please, in the addition, the Eco49990es fuel consumption is quite high. How do i reduce it? |
Hello Professionals in the house ! Please the recommended oil for Firman Eco49990Es i bought recently is 10w - 30. I saw products like mobil, prime guard and prime guard premium on jumia. Mobli is pretty pricey. Please is prime guard a good oil? You can as well recommend alternatives. Thanks |
crossfire47:Thanks Prof for the feedback |
He Prof. Please I'm a first timer. Kindly advise on Firman ECO3990ES and ECO4990ES: the fuel consumption, performance efficiency, are they of different capacity or the same working capacity with different rating, KVA and would you recommend it or there are better alternatives? Can any of the two carry 1.5 Samsung inverter ac with iron at the same time or 1.5 inverter ac with 9kg washing machine or 1.5 inverter ac with standing fridge at the same time? Thanks |
