Wailing and gnashing of teeth was the order of the day on Saturday evening in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, Nigeria, after not less than 10 people were killed in a ghastly auto accident.
PMParrotng.com gathered that an articulated vehicle coming from the Lagos Toll-gate axis of New Garage area of the city lost control and ran into a Nissan Micra taxi cab and a commercial tricycle before hitting a retail shop at precisely 6:20 p.m. About 10 individuals were also injured.

The driver of the vehicle was captured by the irate mob while attempting to take to his heels, but was lucky to be rescued by policemen who were on duty at the ever busy junction and has been subsequently detained at Challenge Police Station.

As at the time of filing this report, PMParrotng.com could not confirm the number of people in the retail shop which stopped the articulated vehicle’s rampage.

When contacted, the Divisional Police officer at Challenge Police Station, Olu Akinmoladun Moore referred us to Adekunle Ajisebutu, the Oyo State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer for whatever information required by us.
Rescue operations were still being carried out as at the time of filing this report.
