drisham: I'm not talking about points oo
I'm talking about game play and quality
Last season and last two seasons we were no where near the level of these teams
But watching them today the gap doesn't look so wide anymore We have improved a bit, but I'm still waiting to see if we can stay a bit consistent for long stretches. Bad patches will surely come, but how can we get over them quickly and not allow it turn into a slump like late December to sometime around March last season. If we can stay consistent with good performances, then we can surely body those two |

The rate at which players are now dropping with injuries this early in the season is so alarming... Injuries everywhere. Add Adam Wharton to that list too Maybe it's fatigue sha |

drisham: The gap between us and this guys doesn't look so much anymore After 3 games?? Liverpool have played Arsenal and Newcastle Arsenal have played United and Liverpool. If we enter maybe matchday 10 or 15 and it's still as close as this, then you can say this. At the moment, let's just be picking up the points |

Is this going to be Arteta's tactic this season?
Trying to nick off points from the big teams and then banking on beating the smaller teams. They were lucky against United
E no fit work oh |

StarchAndBanga: Trying to cancel the Jackson deal to Bayern after they already agreed to it and the player has travelled to Germany just cos of hamstring injury to Delap is shameful from the Chelsea board.. Very very shameful stuff
Or did they think Delap was some form of super human that won't get injured throughout the course of the season Throughout this saga, it must be said that it is Jackson himself who has coordinated his own exit. The club purchased Delap and he seemingly showed how he felt about it by getting straight reds in two out of three matches. The club signed Pedro and Jackson considered himself out. Why not compete for the spot? Maresca has shown nothing but faith in Jackson with his selections. Clearly, even if not first choice, Jackson is right there to have his moment at the first injury. If he had been committed to Chelsea then it could’ve been him being subbed on instead of George today. Jackson has really forced his way out here. Even if the optics of recalling the loan are terrible and the club look bad for it - this entire situation seems as though it is one of Nico Jackson’s own creation. I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed. |

These are the sort of results we need to grind out, if we are to make good this season.
We didn't play well generally, and could have done a lot better, but thank God for VAR (correctly used, anyways), because this had shades of Crystal Palace on opening day written all over it.
On another day, that's another 0-0 at home and 4 points dropped on the season already, but we managed to avoid that.
The games come in thick and fast after the international break.
Strap on, and brace for the season KTBFFH 💙🔵🔵 |

Realtord43: Chelsea against Jackson on UCL matchday 1 The much anticipated Chelsea - Barça might just be a dud, at least for one of the teams. But if one team goes into that tie, needing a win, oh, expect lots of fireworks 🔥 Well, matchday 5 isn't bad though. I forgot it's now 8 games, not 6 |

BlewMahn: Rangers are getting pummeled by Club Brugge. Any hopes of a comeback went up in smoke after the early red card, the Belgians are now just pouring salt onto a very open, deep, ugly wound. It was funny seeing them trolling Celtic yesterday after Kairat eliminated them... Now they're losing 5-0 at halftime against Brugge |

It's games like this that will probably determine where the league will go this season...
Taking 3 points where you should have taken 1, When you eke out wins even when not the better side...
If we had found a way to take 3 points against Palace, we would have been on par with Liverpool and Arsenal in setting the early pace. It's still early days though.
We need to be careful of that our Fulham game on Saturday, plus, it's a lunchtime kickoff too.. |

BlewMahn: Coventry flying. Scored five goals last week, now have five at halftime. I remember rooting for them against Sunderland in the playoff semifinals last season, only to narrowly lose, conceding a very very late extra time goal They look to have taken off where they stopped last season. It's still a long season though, but let's wait and see |
