Generally Africans and Asians get along okay if you look at all the projects workend on with Asians and Africans together.
Foreign AffairsRe: Is Africa Still A Colony Of Europe? by Amhatu(m): 9:20pm On Apr 08, 2011
@vladimiros,No disrespect, you need to study African Development after Post Colonialism in Africa.

After your study, you will find the Chinese have helped enormously;after all they themselves have suffered to under similar circumstances.

However just because we get help from our friends does not mean we set back and do nothing. We should be striving for partnership. In Actual fact, we should already be graduating Engineers from China and other places around the world to work in cooperation with China for joint common interest especially in Technical fields.

Our Friends have never showed a intrest of dividing up Africa like some in  Europe have already done so.

For a example on Development :

The Light Rail Project in Lagos State being built with cooperation with the Chinese, Colleges around Lightrail  should be established.

We can not build a lightrail and let the project not contiuned to be upgraded and maintained. It is now time our Nigerian Engineers pick up from the projects and further Develop on them.  On another note a Nigerian Company Dangote Industries has already taken the lead by setting up a Dangote College or other schools for training for their particular Company. I believe this is a very good step.
Foreign AffairsRe: Is Africa Still A Colony Of Europe? by Amhatu(m): 6:53pm On Apr 08, 2011
@vladimiros , Today, we do not need Westerners whether its UK or USA.
China has invested more in Africa than any other people or Country.

The Chinese are our friends not the west.

@chipmunkey, I disagree , USA is now Bankrupt, been so for along time. The 'USA Pentagon' has military dominance and virtually its on little independent Government ; also has bases in many parts of the world but have not taken over anything.

USA Government can not even solve its National Problems and growing day to day.

AjanleKoko:
@Amhatu,

Nothing inherently wrong with the Cotonou agreement.
It's a typical agreement that you'd expect weak nations looking for cheap aid to sign. Why else do you think the North Africans stayed away?

@AjanleKoko, Even worse, the signers have received almost no aid whatsoever.

Also believe North African countries where not invited even if so they would have rejected on grounds of Sovereignty.
Foreign AffairsRe: Is Africa Still A Colony Of Europe? by Amhatu(m): 3:21pm On Apr 08, 2011
Many Parts of Africa can be considered a colony of Europe unfortunately.
For Today the case can be described with the Cotonou Agreement signed June 2000. in-which came effective in 2003.
I wonder How many Africans know such a agreement has been signed by irresponsible Leaders?

Who knows maybe the Cotonou Agreement was worded differently June 2000, added on later.

The Agreement sponsors trade and other Partnerships but is argued that while the main pillar of the Cotonou Agreement is Poverty Reduction, aid allocated to Africa under the 9th EDF has had limited impact on the majority of the poor.  Also in the treaty if you are accused of impunity, Justice is delivered by a foreign International Court. (Really in my opinion what it means,if they consider that You are someone they don't like Europe tries to get rid of You). (So Very Sad). Our Own Leaders can not even come up with their on Courts to Deliver Justice. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cotonou_agreement)

It is sad that the leaders of Sub-Saharan Africa (because no North Africans Signed) would put the hands of their Destiny in Foreign Courts.

Once Again today in Kenya a Kenyan court can not deliver Justice for its on citizens in Kenya regarding the Last Presidential Election, the Violence that took place their.

Also Africans should note that the back out of the G8 on Loans and Grants promised for the Millennium 2000 goals. In my opinion the Cotonou Agreement should be voided because the Europeans and  other westerners lied on their Promise of the funds. Instead they want to use a Foreign International Court to threaten African Sovereignty that was the intention from the beginning.( Like I said in my other Forum posting Our leaders in Africa never Learn).

Further more there is Hope With our part of Africa through its population, resources and potential notably in Nigeria.

Nigeria is carving a place for its on Brand in Africa also the world thats a plus. Nigerians should be happy about that.

Its a wise decision . If one has studied the Nuclear Powered countries such as UK and the USA you will find Dead zones all over their sea coast.
This is due to waste mostly dead decaying radioactive waste, refined chemicals etc, etc.

This has led to fish dying off, also pre Gulf USA OIL SPILL 2010 of May, Dead zones—areas of bottom waters too oxygen is to depleted to support most ocean life; in most cases you would have to go ten miles out to catch decent fish now may not catch any fish at all or its contaminated and will kill you if you eat it.

We are in the year 2011 and far better technology is available . But the Uncivilizeds savage countries like the UK and USA love Ruthless Imperial capitalism that destroys life.

Technologies that countries like Germany and other have built include Kinetic Hydropower (underwater power generation from turbines and pressure).

Lets hope our Nigerian Government can exlpore these available technologies and put them to use for Electricity Generation.

Nigerians, we should not fight over political parties but judge each candidate regardless of party by their works.

Honarable Patrick Obahiagon, many months  ago  hinted we should be cautious falling into trap of all these political parties and infighting.

At the end of the day we are all Nigerians!

Lets not play the silly western politics lets develop our own.
Foreign AffairsRe: African Union Demands 'immediate' Halt To Libya Attacks by Amhatu(m): 8:40pm On Mar 21, 2011
@justwise . For simplicity  Gaddaffi and George Bush is responsible for killing people.  George W. Bush killed over 1 million in Iraq, Gaddaffi  killed ?(not 1 million)  Although  George Bush killed more people and expanded to kill people in  wars expanded under the Uncivilized Security council Members such as Britian and  USA.

Sorry to say justwise but you are uncivilized and shortcited.

In anycase the UN is besides the point. the Iraq catastrophe proves that and the current Japanese earthquake going on proves the UN is useless. In my opinion most of worlds resources for help should be helping Japan instead of 3 security council members launching weapons and dirting the air in Libya that will spread world wide.

The current situation in the world  that needs immediate attention is Japan. 12,000 or more people are missing .
just shows how people like you (justwise) are really insane

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You cannot compare Iraq. There was no UN vote giving the US permission to invade. In that case, they voted No
justwise:

@justwise, Even if true it just proves my point why the UNited nations is a useless body in politics. They stood by and watch people get murderd  in Iraq by USA.

Yes Russia and China and 2 other countries did not vote, but more member states voted and the revolution was passed. Do you feel sorry for those killed by Qaddafi?
@justwise , I am not going to play silly politics with you. Everyone who understand international law knows that it is the permanent members of the security council that make the decisions. Other Votes  are a formality with no action.

Second, interfering in the internal affairs of another country is illegal as you see Civilized Security Coucil Members Nations like Russia and China did not vote.

@ justwise , Not true . You need to go search and read what 5 Security Council Member coutries legeslative laws say. As you see Russia and China did not vote on the resolution.

Qaddafi
always talking big and cannot defend his own territorial waters from foreign ships.

Qaddafi invested 30 billion in USA, For What? 30 billion should have been for developing modern new age defense capabilities for Libya instead of giving the money to your enemy.

Now the silly foriegn enemies of Qaddafi  have stolen his 30 billion. What has happened in the past to Qaddafi
by the same thieves.

Qaddafi is a sad joke. Hope he reads his Holy Quaran more instead of being silly.

So facebook is not meant for Nigerians per cee. nigeria is the first largest user of the internet in africa. We can encourage our own social networking site.
@niyimat, I must say i agree with you.

To take things further we should get the house of Representatives in Nigeria to consider a bill to insure
all new Mobile Devices  that come into Nigeria or if made in Nigeria have no facebook app installed by default nor twitter.

Sick and tired of these silly facebook companies trying to stuff these apps on devices (Mobile Devices) by default with out the option to remove them.

Amhatu i hear Sudan is next on the list of countries to be destabilised by US sponsored protest groups - the aim being to shut down China's access to oil exports.
@cap28 , USA (DC criminals)  have been attempting these things in Sudan for long time now as you see the recent vote for South Sudan Succession.

The fake missionaries come teach and groom the people with the notion of democracy in preperation for western oil thieves to steal oil.

Also Its my opinion the demonstrations in Egypt,Tunisia,Libya and similar places are not inspired by  westerner Intillegence agencies.
However western Intillegence agencies seem to want to hijack the sitiuation due to the unknown outcomes not favorable to thier ruthless capitalist positions.

The Sad part is some of our leaders in Africa are used like cheap prostitutes so sad.

Amhatu Ive been following the situation in Egypt but im a bit confused over a few things, what i dont understand is this:

why is america backing the overthrow and removal of their own puppet who they have been funding and supporting for the past 30 years?

if Mubarak is forced to resign - who will replace him?  This Mohammed El Baradei of International atomic agency sounds like his likely successor but from what i hear he is another US puppet.

Commentators are saying that the US are playing for time and want Mubarak to hang on until September by that time they will know for sure who is the most suitable candidate to succeed him.

The thinking is also that the US will have the final say on who eventually leads Egypt and that the Egyptians need to focus not only on getting rid of Mubarak but also on brreaking America's stranglehold over Egypt -

The same commentators say that if the Egyptian people do not stop the US from choosing Mubaraks's successor they will be back to the same position only this time with a different dictator . What do you think?
@cap28 , The commentators are correct.  In anycase the USA is on verge of total Bankruptcy & can not do anything, only political rhetorical nonsense.  Believe it or not, Nigeria, is richer than USA. It is only Nigeria infrastructure that needs developed to show it.

@seyibrown

Thanks for posting. I can show & post  millions of examples what USA is resposible for around the world.

One very sad example is the agent orange Chemical dropped on Vietnam and the children who are malformed by the USA's Chemical warfare.
Even though banned under so called international Law the USA criminals used it anyway (just as they did with the Corexit Chemical in Lousianna Amerique).  (ICC) International Criminal Court Seeks to make all African Nations sign to thier court while thier cousins in USA government comit years of murder and ongoing . I Hope Côte d'Ivoire, also Laurent Gbagbo & Alassane Ouattara take note from this.

Côte d'Ivoire should stay out of the fake ICC court . Côte d'Ivoire Can Administer its on justice.

Detainee Says U.S. Sent Him to Egypt Before Guantanamo

U.S. authorities in late 2001 forcibly transferred an Australian citizen to Egypt, where, he alleges, he was tortured for six months before being flown to the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, according to court papers made public yesterday in a petition seeking to halt U.S. plans to return him to Egypt.

Egyptian-born Mamdouh Habib, who was detained in Pakistan in October 2001 as a suspected al Qaeda trainer, alleges that while under Egyptian detention he was hung by his arms from hooks, repeatedly shocked, nearly drowned and brutally beaten, and he contends that U.S. and international law prohibit sending him back.

Habib's case is only the second to describe a secret practice called "rendition," under which the CIA has sent suspected terrorists to be interrogated in countries where torture has been well documented. It is unclear which U.S. agency transferred Habib to Egypt.

Habib's is the first case to challenge the legality of the practice and could have implications for U.S. plans to send large numbers of Guantanamo Bay detainees to Egypt, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and other countries with poor human rights records.

@vega, that was a nice read. Only thing I have opinion on is the term Democracy.
Democracy is a term coined by mostly the government of USA.
Every country in the world has the right to form the government of its choice.

For example:
Socialist Government,Federation type government , Kingship or other it is up to the people.

Nigeria is A Federation type Government not a western Democracy.
