Hi Estherchi26! Please don’t complicate matters for yourself by applying for a Study permit. I will advise you to apply for a spousal Outland sponsorship since your husband is a PR. Kindly click on the link below, you will find your answers there. https://www.nairaland.com/4783069/canada-spouse-family-sponsorship-visa/3

|

You don’t need to order GCMS notes for this. I guess the V.O didn’t see your supporting documents because they were not properly arranged. My spouse application was refused based on the following reasons as well. We didn’t know about Nairaland as at that time, so we submitted SOP, LOA, passport information page, POF and Tuition receipt. We thought IRCC would contact us for more information/documents. English Breakfast was served instead. Lol! What we did differently in the new Application was that we loaded IRCC with relevant supporting documents, a detailed SOP, Table of contents based on Nairalander suggestions. When you are reapplying, make sure your documents are well arranged. All the best in your next application! Trailblazer21: |
You can use four months bank statement or better still use MBS. EffortlessGrace:

I don’t know about study permit but I have seen couples of visitor visa refusal via the new portal. Bobomaigida: |
You receive BVL when a decision is made on your application. prettybimbim: |
I second this! Its quite funny to see people getting PPR and they are not sharing their timelines and documents submitted. These are the things that keeps the forum active. This is one of the things I applaud about the ‘international student forum’. People always come back to share their stories not just take from the platform. If you don get PPR, abeg share your timeline. No witch for Nairaland fit stop you from getting your passport back from VFS Many Congratulations to those who got their PPR and deem it fit to share their stories on the platform. Papapa1234: |
Congratulations and thanks for sharing your timeline. thejokist: |
Well, if your application was submitted on the GCkey before September 7 2021, please reapply with recent documents on either the gckey or portal. Ifeomayimika: |

Thanks a bunch! Sincerely, all the documents I submitted was from Nairaland. I really don’t know how to convince the VO as his concern was based on FAMILY TIES. I am devastated! I will be glad if anyone can spare some time to review my LOE. Liana2020, justwise, lekiboboe, sofaithly, faithyyy, technix, gcmswriter, akanitommy and other prestigious members of this platform. This isn’t my first application, my first application was sometimes in June 2021 via gckey and it is still in queue for processing till date. Since IRCC advised that those who applied before September 7 should reapply via the new portal. I had a new application on January 9 and it got refused on February 9. My husband is running a 2 years program. I applied alone.
Safetysmile: |
These are the documents I included in the LOE; Marriage certificate Change of name Affidavit Employment letter Leave Letter from my employer Payslips Bank statements Deed of inheritance of a land from my late father Last promotion letter Police character certificate Invitation letter from my husband Study permit letter His academic transcripts Employment letter Data page of our international passport. This is my first refusal though, I applied on the gckey in June but the application is still in queue for processing. Hence, the reason I reapplied on the new portal since it is quite faster. I have been a silent reader on here since 2021 but I never created an account, but the refusal letter hit me differently. I am trying to contact you privately as to forward my LOE for revision but nairaland is refraining me from doing so. Could you please message me?
technix: |
Hello guys! My visitor visa application was refused based on family ties in Canada and home country. How do I tackle this? My husband is a study permit holder and I haven’t seen him in 2 years. The good people of nairaland please come to my rescue. Can I apply for SOWP or should I just reapply for VV? Application submitted January 9 2022 Refusal February 9 2022 |
