Thank so much for all that you do on this platform, helping us find answers to so many questions on our minds.

I have two siblings in Canada with Permanent Residency . I 'm married with two kids and i live with Hubby in Ghana.

I did my Masters in the UK, stayed for two years on post study visa and returned back home before visa expired . I have been to the UK several times after this with my kids on tourist visa .

I have been to the USA once for a conference while studying in the UK, i have also been refused USA Visa in the past which i will declare in this application

I have been to Dublin on Tourist visa as well while studying in the UK.

I' run my own business and doing very well.

My Sibling are inviting I and my kids for summer holiday but we will be booking an Airbnb or hotel accommodation. please is this right ?or we have to stay with them? My sister stays with her partner while my brother stays in a small apartment . do family have to stay with relatives in Canada when invited to CANADA on Tourist visa or we can stay in the hotel?

question 2 ...Please how do i answer this session....How much money do you have for your stay in Canada? (In Canadian dollars - CAD)? please does this include flight ticket or just expenses within Canada eg feeding, accommodation, transport within Canada etc. ?

We got an update on the new portal saying;
"Your application was approved. You need to send us your valid passport to finalize your application. We will send you a letter or email with details"
We are yet to get the email/letter for PPR and BVL.

Note that we didn't receive any email in our account about an update, we just decided to log in and checked yesterday and saw that update.

Now we don't know how long that status has been there because this same application was refused in February and they mentioned they'd send a refusal letter which never dropped, only for us to check yesterday and decision has changed to your application is approved.

We are thinking of raising a webform for this but wanted to know if anyone experienced this before and what to do? Thanks.

I emailed Nairobi and they said GC Key applications are queued for processing but they could not confirm when it would be processed. Finally, they said sending emails would not expidited the process.

So, I guess waiting is option here for visiting visa because reapplying would flag them that you want to run away. If it was study visa, then reapplying is best option because they would see or think you reapply because of due date for class resumption.

Pls is Ircc responding to applications sunmitted via GC key at all? I submitted TRV application since Aug 2021 but no response till now. Application keeps showing "we are processing background checks ". Dunno if i should reapply or continue waiting.

Please my people, I want to know if I have been scammed or not. I applied for visiting visa last year through an agent, I did my biometrics last year March 1st 2021. Since then have not heard anything. I keep calling the man everytime its always story upon story. He always tel me that he doesn't have fault, that's it Canada that's delaying the processing... Please the elites here, have I been scammed.

I had applied for a TRV in November 2020, I did my biometrics in the same month too.
fast forward to January 2022, I reapplied on the new portal and didn't have to redo biometrics.

visited the UK 5x, have a current 10year UK visa, visited France, Amsterdam and 9 other countries, I also have 2 siblings who are permanent residents in Canada (Immediate elder brother, and Immediate younger sister).

documents submitted
bank statement, invitation letter, trust fund statement, cover letter, siblings PR cards, their bank statements, previously issued visas, tour bookings, pictures with siblings, birth certificates of siblings, introduction letter from office, ID card, leave approval etc.

I plan to submit my passport to VFS on Thursday. God be praised.

although IRCC does not have a specific rule in this regard, it is advisable to provide very recent and authentic documents, especially considering how applications from Nigeria are thoroughly scrutinized

Congratulations. My husband's and kids VV was refused last week on family ties and travel history. We submitted for my husband and 2kids on January 21.

For family ties we had explained he is the last and very close to his parents. His aged parents are still very much alive and his 5 siblings too were mentioned. Submitted landed properties too. Employment Letter and leave letter, still it was refused. Anyways we have applied for GCms notes to know exactly what he meant by family ties.

My fiancé is a Canadian citizen and we are getting married in few weeks. The plan is to start processing my relocation immediately after the wedding. Spousal sponsorship for PR takes 12 months minimum, so we want to try the temporary visa route. I have the following questions

1. How soon after the wedding is it okay to apply for a visitors visa? And can we apply for both spousal sponsorship and temporary visa at the same time?
2. What documents do I need to put together to ensure a successful temporary visa application?

Medical request came after a week.
After medicals was done and uploaded, eligibility started on the 22nd of December.
Then silence again...
More webforms raised
Contacted my MP 2 weeks ago and she said file was in Kenya, eligibility started. No more info at the moment but I should contact them if I don't hear back after 3 months.

March 9, 2022: PPR Request.

Question: How long is the average time for passport transmission and getting it back? Is it still done through dhl? I'm trying to book her flight so I want to work with an estimate. Please help with recent timelines. Thank you.

I'm not gonna even proceed with the application anymore, they should eat the application fee. I later found out that the tuition deposit of $1000 is non-refundable even if someone didn't get the visa at the first trial, and if one chose to defer to another intake, you'll have to pay a new deposit of same amount.

It doesn't make any sense at all!

Reapplied through new portal January 24th 2022 or so.
Received PPR email today - March 3.

Please what's the process for sending passport through DHL to abuja?
How do we pay the visa fees since the person wont be present at the visa office to drop the passport.

Family application of 4. (Applied for family members, a father and 3kids).
Purpose: family reunification to join mother and daughter who are international students.

Application date: GC Key - Nov 27, 2021
Biometrics: Nov 29, 2021 (only father & oldest child, other two children are below 10yrs). After 14days and no feedback I decided to try the new portal.
Re-application on New Portal: Dec 13, 2021
(After 14days and no feedback I started sending scattered emails now and then, afterwards I noticed eligibility began.

Then nothing again for one month, so I started sending emails again (now consistently morning and night to IRCC Nairobi, from early Feb for about two weeks).

Feb 25: BVL
Mar 1: PPR for all 4 of them ( 4days after Bvl).

IRCC likes us to disturb them with emails, lol. Sometimes it’s what propels them to look into your application.
