Epic of A Fisherman
He departed into oblivion not informing his folks.
Journeyed he into the realms of mystery.
His ears defied our gentle pleas.
A decade has elapsed since his leave.
‘Blame me not I am a mundane beast’
‘The riches I hear of amplify my thirst’
‘I cannot refuse the vast wealth that grows yonder’
He appoints his obedient vessel and voyaged.
Hummed along,the sea cranes companied him.
He rowed tenaciously over uncount leagues.
Several lands and climes he saw.
‘Come back dear fisher,it is late not’
‘Attend to the empty plates we hold before you’
‘We need not the thy shrimps from the barren moor’
‘We crave not the sea-food for we are full’
‘We plead your company just once more’
He refused the calling of his bosom friend.
He rowed angrily over the friendly waves.
So his friend drifted back home,sad.
‘Dear friend,I apologize’
‘A real man knows how to draw the line’
‘A perfect version of him resists the urge’
‘To erase the mark,precision-rid’
‘For we suffered together in our hamlet’
‘The fish-less nights and solitude and cold’
‘Dear friend d,like this I can live no more’.
The moon braved its rays on the sea.
Yet,he seeketh not repose.
The million stars above went to roost beyond the
sky.
How time hurriedly flies.
‘Sailor!’Cry his folks every single night.
‘Come back home,stubborn child’
‘You are forgiven of your prodigal trip’
Our waiting hands will bide you welcome.
An aura of sobriety engulfs him.
Memories of jocund he had in his hamlet’s days.
Betray his newly-found whim.
He cries,yes ululation makes him its prey.
‘Dear Me,I am a perfect version’
‘I will not erase the mark,precision-rid’
He journeyed over the infinite deep.
Drifted afar,afar,far from his root.
His mind is made up to explore the wealth of the
Isle yet ungripped.
To ply the jagged rocks that obstruct his route.
Oh!A constellate of perplexity besieges my head.
My weak fingers mock this ambition I nurse.
To paddle further into the land of wealths.
Nights came,days came.
I refuse the hospitality offer of the caves.
Blame me not!
For i am the perfect man.
He manned his boat forward.
And xrays a tiny earth several miles away.
Oh!The Island,a bright geography.
The bright moon corruscates the beauty of the Isle.
He paddled fiercely.
‘A dream come true’
Became his strength and creed.
My soul cleaves towards that Land I see.
I rue my hamlet that made me percunious.
I curse my origin.
That Isle is but an haven i seek.
He paddled and rowed and rowed.
The sea smiled the wan of his dead mother.
A software of remorse programs in his soul.
The tears of his pleading brethren melt his resolve.
‘I am sorry, for I cant erase this line’
He trugdes out of his boat.
Scent of diamonds pervades the Isle.
A trance cage him and reality frowns at him.
‘Come back to us,o thou fool’
‘Our village is now but a waste’
‘Children are dying,obituaries here and there’
‘Your riches cant defy the ruins of our milleau’
‘Com e back,before the Creator shuts the Ark of
Noah’
Oh! What do I see?
Bones and skulls and ruins.
The diamonds i envisage are but rotten. bronze.
That hang over that that deathly wall.
Oh! Vanity hast mocked my adventure.
Better it is to dine with death tonight.
Than to return home vain and void.
He unsheathes his dagger and caressed its edge.
He masturbates with death that flirts with his mind.
Oh!A wasted voyage.
He gives himself a fatal blow of the blade.
Oh!Blame me not,for this night.
At Hades, I’ll dine with the souls of my folks.
Who died.
Through my stubborn departure and cataclysm.
That annihilated my hamlet.
The duties i shirked.
And the wasted ambition.
Are no regrets to my PERFECT ME!,
