5thNOTE: U yoruba ppl should stop looking for the root of ur ancestry and refute the myth of Oduduwa and his fall or creation. The person that found the yoruba race was a prince frm Benin, a junior brother to another prince. He settled down at Ile-ife and resulted to peaceful pratice of his own aftr a broil with his elder brother. He had gotten to Ile-ife be4 he started throwing tantrums to his elder brother. Due to no king and free living practice by him and his descendants, yoruba nation quickly spread out. This should be around the 12th century. The Yoruba nation is frm Edo which came frm Egypt and met the Igbo ppl who came 3 generations back be4 the Edo ppl who were Jews. They passed behind this Igbo ppl who were strong and fierce warriors, this may be somewhere around Anambra- onitsha. The Igbo Frivolus attacked and threatened to annihilate them. They continued the war with the igbo generations later after settling down in the huge forest and other other parts of the travelling community have dispersed after the major first war at the early arrival of their journey.Lol, historian wannabe? 2 Likes |

Poems For Review / Pain Of Love by AmiableJay(m): 2:56am On Sep 14, 2014 |
Pain: as hurtful as a missed sneeze Sears off the forehead of my soul Thy ‘NO’ deadlier than tycoon’s breeze Why spite this love I ever throw? To your feet like thirty shekels Far precious than my unloved being Pains fade, not thy beloved jewels Chink in my heart like mojo-ring Thy tingling feel circuits my flesh Biting deep like a bee’s burrow My ego crushed in thy dire mesh Oh pained Pain paint not this sorrow |

I WILL... I will sing now many a song of love Stirred by umbilical desire Then will I plunge into its mire For these shackles fettering us like a clove. ~ I'll swim in the pool of sharks, I will wander in the Evil Forest With runes where the i-ambi never rest Scour fiefs spoored in battle-marks Wade serpent-infested sea To prove my fealty for thee. ~ I will meet with dark Ninja of Hades, Grope through its horrid flames; steal a rapier, Sever doubts, tough as Lucifer's leather And guard our unison through the ages. ~ I will sing a song in a pristine tongue, Forgotten by the world Bring back its hidden cud; Conjure its long-lost-truths through a love song: ~ A song of cactuses in the desert, Of Jose' wiseness ere an Asian famine; Of Daniel decrypting quaint alphabet Carousing music in a Soul's tavern I will ask my soul to make merry To bang sèkèrè fast as a wasp I will slumber for a century And savour these dreams till my last gasp. 2 Likes |

Health / Advice On Migraine by AmiableJay(m): 5:24pm On Aug 05, 2014 |
Hello good evening to you all. I've never posted on this forum before, being a non-medical person. I will like to seek your advice on one medical issue that precipitated months ago(Precisely around February). It all started with this strange throbbing headache. I attributed it to stress and waved it off. But ever since then it has been recurring in an irregular timing every month. Last week, I visited a private hospital and the doctor said it could possibly be tension headache . I explained that I don't engage in much stress or involve in triggers. He then prescribed malaria drugs which I've used. But the headache has not gone. In fact, it has gone worse as it now attacks everyday. I have read many things online but I've not been able to get any useful information. But from the little I got, I'm scared it could be migraine as the symptoms, to a large extent fit in. Drugs doesn't combat it. I once took a pain killer drug and slept for 12 hours but the pain got more severe. It's really affecting my reading habit. I am perplexed and helpless. Please I need your help on what to do. Thanks. |

Why Not Now? If I without a sorry Betray the art of the respire With no rubric eye for bounteous years Drifts into an eternal sleep I've longed for coy epitaphs Say not: He's cowardly! If this impatient lariat in my hand Looped for a mangling mission Then rings my neck; Droughts the stream of life From reaching my brutal spirit Gasp not at this boldness For only myself can explain to you, Perchance, at my half-death Or trail this same path, our eyes to four At the feet of the Jewly King If I let out my last glance And cast the next on a saner realm Say not: He doesn't deserve my pitying Shove your virtue and learn my failings I was a brave being E'en never-the-less, at this other phase Or during the daring deed Was I less a man My hubris, my wisdom My wisdom, my folly Holy folly! Sacred suicide Subverting death's undated visiting Better then, I to reverse the hosting So then If we all needs must die Why your why? Why not now? |

Yeah the part 3 is here..... THE LAST TEST "I never meant it"She retracted My eyes rolled like a circus The sky was stripped of its cloud and secrets The oceans of their depths Man's tittle soul- hers was still a mystery E'en when I was de-spelled of her charm Mistaken I was I have over-loved her But she never reciprocated the feel And she gored my Achilles' heel With the truth that was late The earth switched her domain The stars went ballistic with the gravity of the misdeal ~ Globules of sweat ringed my forehead It was a love-mare The sad clues were masked in the dark covers of my snooze Aided by the unflawed revelation of nightfall The mtchews of a franker friend waxed my inner ears Blocked the inner voice that boldened my passion My keyed pal opened up a secret chasm Troononing... It wailed omniously "Hello" Her voice kissed my benumbed ears Facilitated alacrity that I breached from the start "All the years I've loved you You stole away the air I breath since our eyes foured I placed you on the sky And you transgressed gravity But my feelings are higher than thy..." "And so...!" She cut in ~ "I had a bad dream that you never loved me" "Shut up Joe. Just shut the mess up I never loved you,. That changed when I fell and went into the coma I never loved you, infact hated you for your years of silence I've always loved you yet unloved you At the jiffy of my anger with-your tacitness!" But I had chewed the arsenic crystals in my hand For I had plegded to kill me if the dream came true My life was soaked out of my skin "Joe !" I heard, now in vague volumes "Joe ! I love you. More than you do" Was the temporal antidote I needed to salvage the suicide ~ The stretcher scurried me into the theatre "Joe please don't die!" The moment revealed my love weightier I was dying for love that I miscalculated "The poison has eaten his entrails I'm sorry his ain't salvable" The doctor declared My eyes spinned faster and ached my heart "We'll get through ... Joe You won't prove you love me more by dying for love!" In a sleight, she swallowed the remaining ten of my killer sweets And like a skillful assassin slew herself...... DEATH I have a mortal fear Fear that devours my dream Blights the bliss of the gloam Drowns sooth when lulling near I have this proximate demon Hovers with glee over my head That satin be rolled me upon At the darkest end of my world. ~ I have a great phobia That trails heel-near, stealthily behind me A hostile ally that won't let me be I feel its wanton ire Its errand, without a pay Pat on the back or moiety Of heaven's manse for they That defy the beasty treaty. donphilopus: These people sef. Why are they doing this to Nigeria?! So, their used-to-be home-based crime, is now acknowledged in diaspora?!Please shut the hell up. This ain't funny at all. Crime cuts through all clime and race. What of the Yoruba boy that exhumed a corpse and died in the process.? What of the northerners killing people like rat. Have you forgotten Mutallab ? Can't we see through the hypocrisy of these foreign countries? If he did something worthy they won't emphasize his Nigerian nationality. More of the reason why we should unite We won't break up in 2015 and ever. I'm Yoruba btw. SMH for the idio.t though. But wait they said he's mentally unstable, why not put him in a psychiatric facility since long time ago?. RIP for the two Okonkwos. You didn't deserve this death. |

Dame's Test -PART 2. "The wait was minute like her apathy for my antics" The re-call was necessary Ignited by a friend's angry Tone and shock at my strangeness But my inner friend deserved the reprimand Her whisper of doubtings perched on me Stinging my truest desire with bites of bee "Call her and know the truth" my other friend said Flight of doubtings, then reality bled Bled to death, made rebirth necessary Her first failure tossed. ~ Life, a telephone science Imbued with subtle cues; through our unknown path The nights wrapped in foggy camouflage I rolled on my lonely bed and grabbed my phone "Hello dame" I called the older sis, the perfect broker Surprise lit her voice and did blind my cool "You are Sam? Ain't you?" She fired A barrage of stutter coiled my tongue "Anybody there?!" "No this is not Sam" "Then who?" Silence blow-jobed my mouth "There?" I was jolted From my hidden world of silence "Joe I am, Carol's friend" "Sam I know, but who are you?" "Joe now" I almost cried "Ohhh the lover boy. Lemme hand her the phone" The wait was minute like her apathy for my antics ~ It was a lifetime ago But I still know the letterings of the past Like the bare of my palms Like the cypher of the future Like her whisper of no! ~ "Did you miss me?" She asked "I miss you and..." The connection saundered "Helloooooo!"I screamed Screams of 'ambulance' rent the telespace Followed by a soft cracking sound of snapped bones Now void with a strange solemness. ~ It started with a premonition I ignored My ears twitched But I foresook the prophetic clues The dawn dropped with a strange yellow That sembled the dull of the dusk And birthed a morning that was first in annals When the Sun arose the Northward Then came the urge to call her For retest, And ascertain her real sentiments me toward. ~ "She's slipped into the Vegetative State" The doctor said I clasped my arm around her coma-ed shoulders And whispered a moan A tear of agony escaped my eyes and scalded her glossy cheek "She'll get through" I screamed "But the fall was fatal" He re-fired Like he was happy with her plight, or mine "Carol will survive this and pass this test She'll tell me she loves me like I do!" "Yes I do love you Joe" Her weak voice broke out. muselord. 3 Likes |
