You can still use it, he should get other necessary documents to convincingly show that the money in the account is proceeds from business transactions. Also consider getting a letter of introduction showing he is the sole proprietor of the business. I know someone it worked for. For the letter, you can get it from a business centre. Also ensure the logo on the invoice and/or receipt aligns with that on the letter.

Cheers

Thanks for your response sir, he does not have a cooperate account. He uses his personal to run his transactions

He can show his statement of account, better if it's a corporate account, then invoices and receipts issued to customers and the ones he got from suppliers.
He should also request for reference letter from the bank stating that the he owns the corporate account.
A picture of him in the business area is also ideal to be added.
I think you should be fine.

Cheers

I want to use my dad as my sponsor for my visa study permit application, he is a businessman. He does not have a CAC certificate but has a good account. I will like to ask the gurus in the house if not adding a CAC docs to my financial documents might affect my application negatively ?

Ordinarily your medical should be valid while entering, but then it depends on the officer at the point of entry. My medical wasn't checked when I came in.
Cheers
Kenn55:
Hi all,
Someone asked me if he can land with an expired medicals. He was supposed to start in January but due to initial refusals and delay he deferred to September. Now, his medical expired early August and he just discovered it today with flight already scheduled for Sunday and school starting in next week.
I don't know the answer. Will there be an issue for him when he lands?

It's a pleasure to be back to this wonderful forum. I remain grateful to this platform, all the knowledge was from this platform. I was able to submit the study permit application myself and also got a positive decision.
Just concluded my program and about to face the next phase.
Meanwhile I will do my best to answer questions to the best of my knowledge as a way to give back to the forum. We'll all get our PPRS, AMEN!

You need to inform IRCC via email and webform.
You should be fine.
Cheers.

Hello house, pls I need advice on this issue.
I got an addition to University Canada West for April 2023, so I deferred the admission to September 2023 so I will have time to prepare for my self. I submitted my visa application on the 4th of July 2023, I received my PPR on 10th of August, and I submitted my passport to Vfs on the 14th Of August and got my passport back on 29 of August, I received letter of Introduction today. Now school are supposed to resume on the 25th of September, I have already book my flight ticket to 20 of September. But now school send a mail to me that they don’t have enough space for students for this September anymore that they will defer me to January intake. I replied the mail and said No that I don’t want to be deferred. They now said the only option I have is that I should be in Canada before 8th of September. I have to cancel my ticket and reschedule it to 5th of September. Student Advisor from the school now called me today that even if I come to Canada before 8th of September he not sure that they will be able to enroll me for September…. My question now is that even if I accept to be defer to January. Do I need to let IRCC no that I have been defer or is it Only new LOA from the School that I need.

There's no issue with it at all. They can come in later so long as their visa is still valid.

Please I need a little clarification. I applied for a study visa together with my kids. I will like to go settle well so they join me later in the year. Will it be an issue at rhe port of entry since my kids will not be leaving with me at the same time I will be leaving for school?

Go on youtube and watch videos about the school and the city. People do walkthrough videos so you can get a sense of what the city is like, as well as job opportunity videos from other immigrants.

Wow guys it's been a long while.
I don't know if my moniker is still popular here. I got a lot of information here on nairaland and also shared my little experience to newbies here.

This is my first post since January. I arrived Canada December last year, almost done with first semester to the glory of God.

I will answer any japa related questions to the best of knowledge the little while I will be spending here.

If there's anyone in canada, toronto precisely for summer intake, there's a room available in a 2bedroom basement, it's very close to centennial College progress campus.

Best wishes to everyone!

It's better you use old portal which has provision for Spousal Open Work Permit for your wife. Then you can apply for study permit for kids above 5 years and vv for kids below 5yrs
damsel17:
Hello house, please my apologies if this has been answered before but I need some clarification concerning applying for study permit on the new portal. If one wants to apply for their spouse and dependants (minors) at the same time they are applying for their study permit, what do they apply for on the new portal for the spouse and kids? Is it visiting visa? Thanks in advance

Okay is different from thank you. Not for my benefit though, just saying, just so you may know.
When you find yourself in maple land and an Oyibo does you a favor, simply say thank you, not okay.

The forms have fields for shool name, address, tuition fee etc. Should I use mine? Those fields are required and won't validate without an entry
