You're freed.

any other person wey go worry you for this thread, i go pick on that person, cos you follow dey make this place sweet.

No forget those 2 things wey you recommend for yourself, you need am, you really need am. Life na once

CharitoJames:

I am not working on anything for anyone… if people don’t have empathy to understand that i got a refusal and coming here to inform you people isn’t enough… I decided to rest small and all i get is people forcing me to talk about it::: How many people will come here to say they were refused? I also mentioned waiting for my notes. Do you know what i am passing through? How has your own attitude helped me? Did you read the message you are responding to to see what i said to him/her?
I am human too and don’t expect me to be perfect.. because i am not. You people should free me.

una too like quarrel for here.
if her attitude disgusts you, is the most prudent thing to do to respond with same disgusting attitude.

you be man na, you for just ignore the attitude, that's maturity.

For the records, charitojames, you really need to work on yourself. i don't want to mince words with you.
bepositive11:
I am honestly disgusted by your attitude. Go and read my comment again and see whether it warranted such a disgusting response. Is it because of your bank balance and properties that you have such an ugly attitude?

Do you think having the properties and bank balance you have is enough to convince the visa officer that you will return and that you're eligible for a study permit? FYI, your POF can be a double edged sword. And there are many other factors that they consider.

I'm sure you wrote your SOP and sponsorship letter with that same attitude. Keep feeling entitled. Nonsense!

Don't sound like that.
If you know what you really want, you go for it. A little hurdle shouldn't discourage you.
If you have been following Charitojames comment, you'll understand that she has great passion for Canada. That energy shouldn't die because of a refusal.
But like I will always say, if your lack of interest in Canada is because you've got something better that's lovely but if the aparthy is as a result of a refusal, then you have got to dust yourself and try again.
Letuspraytogod:
No. Don’t advice her to re-apply.
Let her channel her energy elsewhere.
If you’ve the funds, go to UK. You’d get your visa in less than 6weeks.
Canada is too draining. Waiting on them will Bleep your mental health up.
I haven’t been living like a normal human since. Application is almost a year now.
It’s crazy but it is what it is.
God is the greatest

I had to read this post over and over again to be sure what you wrote is refusal and not ppr.
Honestly this news broke my heart.
But not to worry, God is still on the throne.
Remember how you always advice others to retry. My dear, you're passionate about Canada, don't give up too soon. I know it can be demoralizing but pick yourself up and do the needful.
Next will be successful.

What is the reason for the refusal?
CharitoJames:
So guys
Here it is…
Application submitted 5th April
Biometrics done and updated 8th April
Upfront medical updated 11th April
Eligibility 4th May
Ghost updates 9th May, 20th May, 17th July and 16th September
BVL 23rd September
Refusal 24th September

Yes, i was refused… All thanks to God regardless and NO I WILL NOT REAPPLY.

I’m still here, going no where but may not be active because i need to channel my energy elsewhere.

How much is the tuition deposit and the deadline for paying it?
aclfemmy:
It feels good to be here to share my ppr testimony guys.

I do sincerely appreciate all the information and personal experiences shared on this thread. It has indeed helped quite a lot of people among whom, I'm a prime and bonafide beneficiary. I couldn't have done less by not holding from the forum in which I have profited immensely.

I shall be sharing my experience and timeline for my 2 applications which herald this success I've just achieved today.

My epistle may be quite long but I shall endeavour to break it in such a way that it won't bore you.

First and foremost, I will like us to imbibe the culture of reading especially of something that is quite edifying like the info on this nairaland Canada study permit. It's a fountain and repository of knowledge. If you get yourself busy with it prior to your application, you may not need to ask questions or seek assistance from any gurus.

Enough said about the preamble and now, back to the basis.

I'm 41 years of age. The journey to Canada started for me in 2021; precisely, in October. But I have no idea about the know-how. I, therefore, typed the travelling to Canada on google and I landed in nairaland, precisely thread 18 thru 19. Believe me, I read the entire thread which I started from Oct till around November.

After reading the 2 threads; 18 and 19, I became very adept at the whole process both school admission and study permit application. Needless to say, I also read other info that's related to Canadian stuff that cut across immigration both temporary and permanent residency permits.

Having been armed with the acquired info, I applied for a mission at MUN for both Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (GDBA) and MBA but the GDBA admission came out with a speed of light in less than 2 weeks. I applied for admission in December and was offered admission the same December before the closed of the semester. I waited a little bit for the MBA admission but it didn't come on time. I have to go ahead and apply for the study permit with the GDBA LOA on March 1st, 2022. This is my first application

Find below the timeline:

* Eligibility failed 05/05/2022 - this is also as per gcms notes and is reviewed by another VO other than the one recommend it passed.
* Refusal notice 05/05/2022.

Refusal reasons were the purpose of visit and travel history.

My academic background in accounting and finance both HND at Yabatech (2002) and B.A (Hons) at University of Sunderland Uk (2014). I have been to the UK at least once and I have also had prior UK visa refusal which I disclosed. I have been working for the past fifteen years across multiple accounting and finance designation

The refusal decision heartbroken me so much that I least expected it. I therefore hurriedly reach out to some guys who are on nairaland through their private emails. Out of the whole lots I contacted, Makano was the first to contact me and he gave me his bill which I don't mind paying thinking that the application will be done instantly and I will get approval. But that wasn't the case. Honestly, those a who got refusal and were able to announce it on the platform here were quite lucky as they got apt advice which was what they need to re-fire. In my case, the refusal overwhelmed me and I didn't. If I have done, the decision to engage the Makano wouldn't have arisen. By and large, he did a great job!

He did advise I should apply for the notes which he did on my behalf at a fee. I applied for the note on the 6th of May 2022 and it came out on the 2nd of June 2022.

There in the note, the visa officer misdirected himself, obviously and erroneously, under his reasoning for my purpose of visit that my purpose was of visit was unreasonable as I have current qualifications that's way higher than the intended course of study in Canada. And for my travel history, he said he my travel history or lack of it won't count in his assessment of my eligibility and for that reason he's refusing my application.

Come June 22nd 2022, I reapplied with the same set of docs. I only added LOE (3 pages). There in the LOE I explained the errors and misgivings of the VO with verifiable evidences which links pasted therein. I further got in touch with my faculty advisor about the development. He in turn got in touch on my behalf to the associate Deen of faculty to get a letter clarifying that the intended course of study is way higher than the current qualification I have and that I'm eminently qualify for the choice course of study.

I attached this additional documents to the same docs in my first application and I refire thru ircc portal (the new portal). The gckey portal locked me out due to network glitch otherwise it's the gckey I would have use again.

2nd application timeline

Still same course at Mun with resumption date of 06/09/2022

New portal

* Application date 22/06/2022
* All documents as used in 1st application
* before the resumption no info updates on my account
* on the 30th of sept 2022, I registered for course as advised by my course advisor as there's a remote class available for my course
* after registration, I got enrolment letter which I sent to ircc thru we form on the 5th sept 2022.
* eligibility review 09/09/2022
* bvl 17/09/2022
* ppr 20/09/2022

Debbieeeeeee:

I agree with you. A user asked for information, she responded to user from an angle of urgency, the same “question asker” is trying to push her to the kerb. Wahala dey this thread. This is why people will keep the jumping and passing questions. Most questions asked here have their answers on the internet but they won't search and someone still takes time to answer the questions and you get such a response.

You asked how necessary the form is and someone responded and stressed how necessary it is, all you could say is "...calm... "
And you questioned the contribution. If you have answers already, why ask the question abinitio.
Letuspraytogod:
Okay I’ll do that but calm, If it was “extremely” necessary, it wouldn’t be in the optional tab tho. Would it?

Upfront medicals = 15th June 2022

No update until this morning 17th September 2022.

DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED
1. All IRCC mandatory documents I.e IMM
2. 2 MBS and one printed bank statement from my parents
3. Admission letter to MUN

I already differed my admission to January so I’ll just be here till then.

Btw my friend who applied on July 8th and did his biometric in about a week from that and also did his upfront medicals same week also got this morning with me, same timeframe.

Please how do I submit my passport to Vfs for stamping thanks? I did my biometrics at Lagos Vfs office.

Mr A: The car is color red

Mr B says: You are giving false information.

Boss I don tire for you Las Las.
No be you say gigdraft is very correct,
So you didn't take your time to read and comprehend before you seconded.

Nairalandboss:
Let me ask, where did I say it is dependent on only the quality of your email? If you cannot show me this and quote that part, then I am done with you
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by amila20042001: 5:32pm On Sep 12, 2022
The tone of your message says so much about your personality.
Disabuse your mind that someone is here to attack you, free yourself from hate.
You can go back to where gigdraft made the comment and start reading, this time read slowly for better understanding.
One love!!!
Nairalandboss:
Better go back and read my reply before saying what I didn't say. You people are just countering yourselves up and down. It's like you are all battling for who knows better than the other. Mr A will counter Mr B. Mr B will attack another person. Is this thread a marketplace or where we lift each other up? You didn't even read my comment before quoting me. What's all this? Lol

I told the woman that supervisors will not always ignore your email because they don't need students. And they'll most likely not respond if you don't have knowledge of their current research as Gigdraft said. And I used my case as an example. I am saying it again. If you know nothing about a supervisor's work, they will most likely not reply because you will sound so annoying . And I don't think you are qualified to argue with me if you are not doing a PhD program here. Not bragging. Just saying I can't be arguing what I am certain of

Nobody should quote me again because I am not ready for this negativity. I am too busy for that

I'm worried, is this bad?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by amila20042001: 4:41pm On Sep 12, 2022
Why are you guys in this thussle. These things are not cast on stone.

1st scenario : An applicant may send a very good cold email yet a professor who doesn't have funding may ignore the mail while another may respond that he doesn't have space for any student at the moment.

2nd scenario : An applicant may send not very good cold email to a professor who doesn't have need for a student, yet gets a response from the professor that he doesn't have any need for a student at the moment.

3rd Scenario : An applicant sends not very good cold email to a professor who has need for a student, but because the email is incoherent the professor may ignore the mail

So it actually could go either way.
So saying he didn't get response from the profs solely because his cold mails are not very good is a fallacy
Nairalandboss:
The bolded shows you no nothing about what you're talking about. You got one but I got 3, so guess who knows better. And I doubt you are here. Are you even in Canada?
