Despite the many controversies and drama this year, UNILAG still makes it to the list.

4. Covenant University.

Covenant University is the only private-run university on the list, and despite the constant controversy from the chancellor, the school continues to flourish silently.

5. Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

Popularly known as UNIZIK, a lot of interesting things have happened in the Southeast school this year.

6. University of Port Harcourt.

Early this year, the World Economic Forum ranked Uniport as one of the top 30 universities in Africa.

7. University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Blac Chyna is at the hospital, getting prepped for the arrival of the first Kardashian heir

Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble just rolled into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. We're told Chyna is in a posh suite upstairs, ready to deliver the baby girl by C-section. It was scheduled for 8:30 AM PT.

We're told grandma Jenner hired a bunch of bodyguards to protect the baby, Rob and Chyna ... but we're told they're mostly concerned about the baby getting photographed.

There are cameras ready to record the birth for a TV special, but some of what they want to shoot violates Cedars protocol and the family is going back and forth with the hospital.

Dangote Group said it has commenced psychological testing on truck drivers in its fleet to check their recklessness on the highway. The Executive Director, Stakeholders Management and Corporate Communication, Dangote Group, Mansur Ahmad told Reporters in Kano that the steps was designed to ascertained the level of their mental alertness to enable them meet the challenges.

“We are worried by the negative report from the field and as responsible corporate organization, we cannot watch while the situation deteriorates and we are trying our best to control the situation,”

Mansur Ahmad. Against this backdrop, Dangote group announced its partnering with the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) to track activities of its truck drivers across Nigerian highways. He said that this was part of the conscious effort to rebuild the image of truck drivers whose activities on major highways across the country gained notoriety in recent past.

The Executive Director, Stakeholders Management and Corporate Communication, Dangote Group, Mansur Ahmad explained that “we are disturbed by the negative trend and has evolved proactive steps to halt it” Ahmad stated that “truck drivers are too difficult to manage, and in recent past we tried a partnership that promotes ownership with them that failed”

The Executive Director, Stakeholders Management and Corporate Communication revealed that “we have over 7,000 trucks, you would agree that tracking and monitoring their activities is a huge job and that’s why we are partnering with Federal Road Safety Commission”.

Commenting on the Dangote Tomato paste in Kano, the Director General disclosed that ” we have struck a deal with out growers within the locality for uninterrupted supply of fresh tomatoes. Ahmad said ” we on our part provide an improved seedlings to the out growers to meet specifications and standards “.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday congratulated the United States’ President-elect, Donald Trump, on his electoral victory in the country’s presidential election.
In a four-paragraph statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President said he looked forward to working with Trump to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

The Israeli military says it has targeted a Syrian army artillery position allegedly in retaliation for a rocket attack that hit the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Israeli military claimed that the assault on the Syrian army position in the northern Golan Heights came in response to a projectile that hit the occupied territories hours earlier.
The rocket attack, which caused no casualties, was "most likely a result of the internal fighting in Syria,” the statement added.
The Tel Aviv regime regularly hits positions held by the Syrian army in the Golan Heights, claiming that the attacks are retaliatory.
This is while Syria has repeatedly accused Israel of aiding Takfiri militant groups operating inside the violence-wracked Arab country.

US President Barack Obama has called his newly-elected successor Donald Trump to congratulate him on his election victory and invite him to the White House to discuss the transition of power.
Obama made the call on early Wednesday, when Trump had secured enough electoral votes to beat his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, the White House said. The two were slated to meet on Thursday.
Obama also called Clinton, his former secretary of state between 2009 and 2013, to express his "admiration for the strong campaign she waged throughout the country," according to a statement by White House press secretary Josh Earnest.
The president officially endorsed Clinton in June and hit the campaign trail to garner support for the former first lady.
He was scheduled to address the nation later on about the election results, which sent shock waves across the world and caused mayhem in global markets.
As America’s first black president, Obama in January would hand over the presidency to Trump, the first American president without any experience in government or the military.
