If your surname name is not written exactly the way it is written in your JAMB during the uploading, just forget about seeing your name in NYSC site the major problem in our school is either jamb registration number or issue of interchanging names..
The name in my school is written as 'Matthew Clifford Bitrus' while the one in my JAMB admission is written as ' Bitrus Matthew Clifford'..... My name was on the blue print but it cannot be uploaded into nysc site...
Please if you are about to check your blue print, while checking take congisance of this... Make sure you go to school and sort out things yourself. The Correction has been effected waiting to see my name in the evening today or tomorrow in the morning.....

I have seen my name on NYSC portal. I was told yesterday that my details was not sent to them at students' affairs division(Unical) so I decided to go and clear the mess today
I checked twice this morning before going to the park but nothing positive was up.

After driving for about 40mins from the park @ Port harcourt heading to Calabar, I decided to check again and behold it has been uploaded successfully.

I immediately terminated the journey from that point not minding the fare I had paid

Abeg make ona follow me thank God.

If you have any error on your details, you are advised to contact your school for corrections. There are so many factors that may not allow you to see your name on-line:- 1. If your school is yet to upload, you can not see your name 2. If you search your name with matriculation number or surname different with the one uploaded by your school. 3. if you don't have a valid jamb number. 4. if your jamb number is regularized and you fail to validate it from jamb database. 5. if the name you are using in school is different from the name you used when registering jamb. If you are affected with any of the above, pls contact your school for rectification.

I guess most people that ve seen their names online ve really felt elated and are seriously thinking positive. Hopefully, others will see their names soonest esp my FUTO brotherss. H/ever, there are oda stages that can bring out the laughter or anger in you. Hopefully it will be laughter ( lets be positive) . They are:

1) After succesfully registering and u receive ur call up no: After getting ur Call up number u re 80% assured of ur 7/7 uniform. I guess u will start shopping with happiness after that ( remember the experience could change if that ur Uncle in the village is too stubborn ).

2) When you get ur posting letter : This is actually the most anticipated part of ur service year, as many will be hoping on Abj or Lag as it is normally called or 042 ( Enugu) or even Akwa Ibom ayaya or my dearest Calabar ( because many people think Cross river state is all about Calabar not knowing that its just the capital) or Kano or the oil rich Portharcourt. H/ever, that letter can actually fulfil your months of dream or give you nightmares before eventually heading to camp. We pray the former will be your portion though.

3) When you arrive at Orientation camp: I will actually not say much here because i believe experience is the best teacher. H/ever i will simply define the orientation camp as a regimented area. It can be fun if u are resilient and obedient but no matter what, you must surely check your calender.

4) When you get registered after thumprinting in Camp: Hitherto, this was no big deal until the new thumbprinting scanner was introduced. You will actually not value passing this stage until u see sbd that travelled all the way from Lagos to Calabar and has posted he is serving in Calabar on facebook only to be sent out of camp cos his thumbprint didnt match that on the database. I think only NYSC headquatres in Abuja has the solution to this. Please don't allow anybody thumbprint for you during registration unless your parents wanna force you to serve and Real Madrid wanna sign you this summer.

5) When you get ur Internal posting letter: For me, i ve always taken this as the most important aspect of NYSC as you will spend about 10 months at ur PPA. No matter, whether you are in Abuja, Akwaibom, Cross river, Enugu, Lagos or the prestigious industrial Kano, if u get a bad PPA in a bad location , a person serving in Ebonyi, Osun, Kwara, or Jigawa with a good PPA will enjoy the service yr more than you.

6) Arriving at your PPA: Actually, most PPAs, capitals, Locations are actually over rated or under rated. The happiness or sadness you experienced when you got ur internal posting letter may not be same when you get to ur PPA. It is actually subject to change.
