Capensis:Interesting We must become GODS, there's no turning back now |
Capensis:Nice to see you back. Heres a short story in your honor Dreamlike glitter fills the air as I walk to the very edge of a lonely pier. Ethereal flute music bestows upon the site, a strange almost phantasmal quality. My mind, intoxicated by this reverie, sinks several layers beneath waking consciousness. In a state of that which is not, I discover myself, a never ending sea of boundless potentiality. My awareness expands rapidly, Like a bloated dying sun, it consumes the pier, the beach, the ocean, and finally the entire planet. Waves of ecstasy fill my being with an indescribable joy. In celebration of my new found divinity, the skies shed tears of joy. The cold soothing gifts of nature run down my face and body. I am grateful, this is more than I could have ever asked. In one mighty gasp. I am out, my body overwhelmed by the ripples of bliss collapses and falls into the water. Unperturbed, I ascend upwards and disappear into welcoming clouds above. A new adventure awaits! |

OLAADEGBU:It is perfectly fine to hold these beliefs and of course you are entitled to your opinion however for the sake of truth and reason and for the benefit of all others on this platform i must relay the following: 1. Define Scripture. What you believe to be infallible, unquestionable, the very word of God may be just another piece of paper with lousy scribbles to another. 2. Define Orthodox tradition. What is a Church. In reality there is no such thing as orthodox tradition in today's modern churches. from my own personal experiences doctrines change over time according to the will of the overseeing prophet, bishop or pastors. The Churches of today are very different from the churches of 50 years ago and will be unrecognizable to early Christians. 3. The Christ Saga from my understanding is very different from reincarnation. Perhaps its time you brush up on your scripture. 4.I dont see how reincarnation or how being pure spirit or angels in costume as you have said can logically lead to the conclusion that God made a mistake in creating our bodies. 5.Your understanding of reincarnation is extremely limited. Although some mystery religion teach that we are somewhat trapped in our physical bodies, other treat reincarnation as a wholesome, positive and natural process of evolution from imperfection and cloudiness to perfection and clarity. 6.See above. 7.It is obvious you know very little about reincarnation. u completely missed the ball on this one. With reincarnation the consequences of your actions are visited on the immaterial not the body. 8. The only valid point you have made so far. 9.Mental telepathy, demons, souls of the dead all seem far more fantastic than reincarnation to me. 10.Neither can any doctrine propounded in the history of mankind. |
Government may loosely be defined as a system or group of people governing an organized community, however when broken down to its root latin words the word government literally means to control the mind which in my opinion reveals the true underlying nature of this ancient institution. Governments are inherently evil. They confiscate and destroy your freedom. They usurp the sovereign which you are. They have blinded and deceived you for too long, making you believe that you are nothing more than an animal incapable of making decisions in your own best interests. They lie continually. They have created an illusory reality, one in which you are weak, stupid, irrational and violent. You must learn to look within yourself to find the answers. Are you truly a mindless beast? What keeps you from hacking your neighbor to death while he sleeps? If the government were to simply disappear would you do it? Why not? Here the answers are obvious, you do unleash acts of barbarism on others because you are a sane, intelligent person. Governments would have you believe otherwise. Governments are unnatural and illegitimate, they perpetuate themselves through acts of violence expressed via imprisonment and death. They are nothing more than thugs, a legalized crime syndicate. They steal your freedom, then claim to guarantee your rights. But what is a right? A right implies a limited state of being, it is finite and restrictive and can be adjusted according to the will of the powers that be I.e. government, albeit seemingly noble on its surface, it is ultimately a lie, a great falsehood designed to blind you from the truth, that all men are born free and as such freedom is inherent to man. It is the systems of control that destroy this freedom and enslaves you. Governments are tyrannical in nature, by maintaining a monopoly on violence, they can enact laws, which are simply lies themselves and then enforce them, effectively legalizing theft (taxation), lies (propaganda), and murder (political assassination). They steal a portion of your wages to impoverish you not to empower the collective, to them you are nothing more than a slave, a farm animal to be milked till death. Governments would have us believe they are nothing more than saintly administrators working for the public good, nothing could be further from the truth, as opposed to being the solution to the world’s problems, they are in fact the origin and the cause. What has been the result of over 5,000 years of government? widespread poverty, misery and death. That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves. -Thomas Jefferson There is a reason why smaller government, less regulation and decentralized planning always lead to a higher quality of life, there is a reason why big government brings the exact opposite as seen with the communist system. Governments are not living, tangible entities, just like corporations they are empty shells, corpses. They are vampiric, they consume the energy of the people to sustain themselves. We must cut of this life force. For it is we who continue to give it life, it is we who give it the strength to oppress us. If smaller government leads to a higher quality of life, then in a world with no government at all, we may attain the highest possible state of being. In a world with no government, we will experience an explosion of creativity, innovation and human capital the likes of which has never been recorded in human history. Absence of asphyxiating regulations, and unnecessary taxation which currently serve as the locks to the store house of abundance will bring about this new golden age. You and I are good enough. We are worthy of happiness and success and we are intelligent enough to direct our own lives, we must not shy away from this responsibility as Plato once wrote the heaviest penalty for declining to rule is to be ruled by someone inferior to yourself. It is time to begin the transition to this new world, a world of overwhelming abundance, wealth and happiness, a world based on the principles of freedom and sovereignty, a world where you and I are KINGS. The path is not certain, and there will definitely be challenges along the way but with courage, determination and an unquenchable desire to change the world we will get there, together and hopefully in one piece. SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE. |

I have been on nairaland for quite some time now, during this period i became acquainted with the works of interesting individuals like Sarassin and Billyonaire. Although i did not fully agree with everything they posted, i thoroughly enjoyed their posts, conversations and ideas about the nature of man, god and reality. Unfortunately, since their departure the religion section on nairaland has morphed from a venue where alternative, genuine, ground breaking ideas are discussed to a cesspool of intellectual dishonesty, religious entrepreneurship, false doctrine and outright lies. I long for a return to the old days when we were actually on track to achieving true gnosis right here on this very platform. This is a call to all truth-seekers, honest religious scholars, all those that know something is missing, all those with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, all those who seek to become GODS. Lets us come together to revive the dying light of truth here on the religion section. Thanks. Heres is a little something to get the juices flowing. The Speed of Thought Moving at the speed of thought, I am transported in an etheric vehicle to a distant planet on the outer fringes of the known universe. The landscape seems more vivid, more lucid than normal waking reality. Is this a dream? Or have I been dreaming all along? I cannot tell. I find myself at the base of an oddly colored tree. Vermillion branches with transparent tips sprout luminescent leaves from all sides. This alien forest plays host to the strangest plants and other odd creatures, some I can only describe as fairies’ others I cannot describe at all. Looking upwards, I am greeted by an amazing sight, three celestial suns adorn a purple colored sky. To my delight, I discover I am on some kind of beach. I look toward the unearthly ocean only to notice another peculiarity, massive water cyclones rise from the surface of the sea to meet pregnant storm clouds above, bird-like fish and fish-like birds congregate within the strange formations, dancing playfully within liquid tornadoes. Faint recollections of a life once lived begin to crop up to the surface. My heart is filled with nostalgia. Moving at the speed of thought, I am transported in an etheric vehicle to a little blue planet I presently call home, I open my eyes to an all too familiar scene but can only wonder at the many miracles I had witnessed just a few lightyears away. |
A few days ago, i overheard a father scream in anger at his son for having failed an exam, apparently, he had spent so much on his son’s education and it was appalling that his son had failed. Although I understood his feelings to a degree, in today’s economy it is difficult to raise money for anything and most people are just barely scraping by, I certainly did not understand his reaction to the matter. In a rage, he said something that really hit me “You’ll never make it in life with grades like this” The child, I believe was just 11 years old. In today's world people seem to have bought into the idea that good grades are somehow proportional to success, however, in the real world we see that even having a university degree does not guarantee you anything. As Thomas Smale rightly puts it; “Most people are brought up to believe that going to school, getting good grades, working hard and getting a good job are the steps you need to take to become successful. Today, a good education and gainful employment are merely the status quo -- these qualifications are no longer a proven formula for wealth and success.” - Thomas Smale. Sometimes I wonder If the obsession with formal education on the part of the parent is driven by a sincere desire for the child to succeed or a need for social approval. I know we’d all like to think it’s the former rather than the latter but who knows. Here are some examples of highly successful people who didn’t graduate from a university • Richard Branson • Steve Jobs • Larry Ellison • Michael Dell Ironically these people employ thousands of graduates every year. It’s a big fat joke. Graduate and be employed, drop out and become the employer. The educational system is based on standardization and conformity it suppresses imagination, individuality, and creativity and discourages contrarian thought, effectively turning people into mindless machines. Throughout the ages great men from Plato to Einstein have spoken out against the tyranny of this system. “It is, in fact, nothing short of a miracle that the modern methods of education have not yet entirely strangled the holy curiosity of inquiry; for this delicate plant, aside from stimulation, stands mainly in need of freedom; without this it goes to wrack and ruin without fail. It is a very grave mistake to think that the enjoyment of seeing and searching can be promoted by means of coercion and a sense of duty.” – Albert Einstein “One had to cram all this stuff into one's mind, whether one liked it or not. This coercion had such a deterring effect that, after I had passed the final examination, I found the consideration of any scientific problems distasteful to me for an entire year”- Albert Einstein “Knowledge that is acquired under compulsion obtains no hold on the mind.” – Plato “I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.” – Mark Twain “Education is a state-controlled manufactory of echoes.” – Norman Douglas “The whole theory of modern education is radically unsound. Fortunately, in England, at any rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence.” – Oscar Wilde Formal education in my opinion, is nothing more than a tool for social control. It is sad that millions of people are now being conditioned to think and feel a certain way. Formal education is contrived to perpetuate the status quo by endorsing a life of subservience to authority. The system is designed to test only memory not true intelligence and requires the student to regurgitate answers instead of formulating his own through critical thinking. This is the major reason why nothing significant will ever come of the thousands of universities we have around the world. Any belief that the school system will lead to success and satisfaction in life is merely an illusion. Trust me, I've spent the better part of my life in there i know. The only path to success, true success is self-education. |
The world is not be narrowed till it can fit into the mind. The mind is to be opened and expanded till it can take in the image of the world as it is in fact” -Sir Francis Bacon In today’s society acquisition of knowledge has become akin to a herculean task and those who seem to possess the tenacity for such work are seen as uncool and boring, because of this unfortunate aversion to curiosity, the average person is unable to understand problems which would have been considered elementary in the 19th century. Basic sentence structure and grammar now resemble complex esoterica to most people. Millennials most especially are unable to express themselves without the use of lame acronyms and a limited set of monosyllabic vocabulary, grunts and squeals. Reading, which was once a fundamental part of human existence has now been completely shunned and neglected in favor of repetitive sports shows, vapid, soul crushing reality TV and nonsensical pop music. It is indeed evident that if we are to continue to survive as a species we must reorient ourselves to a more progressive awareness based system of living. How do we achieve this? First things first. Getting Friendly with Your Brain: I know this may seem like a joke at first but it’s actually true many of us are not on good terms with our brain. The brain is similar to a computer, it stores and processes information because that was what it was designed to do. To stay healthy, it must receive constant stimulation by acquiring and processing new information, when you stimulate your brain regularly you gain bountiful rewards in return. Quick flashes of insight, wit, and the ability to understand complex concepts become the norm rather than a rarity. To many of us that have already been through the conveyer belt of conventional schooling, we must begin to unlearn the rubbish we learnt during our early years, by adopting a fluid, open minded and inquisitive mindset. Homeschooling: To many the idea of homeschooling your kids may seem overwhelming or perhaps counter intuitive, in reality, there is no better decision a parent can make regarding his/her child’s education. The horrendous failures of the formal education system have already been discussed ad nauseum here and here so I will not go into that in this article. To accentuate the need for homeschooling here are some of its benefits. First of there is limited peer pressure on the kids, we do not wish to isolate the kids but we would like to give them the freedom to think for themselves as a result homeschooled kids tend to think independently which means they will be more likely to discern truth. A main facet of homeschooling is individuated instruction, this means we are able to meet the kids at where they are at, speeding up or slowing down teaching as needed. Homeschooling cultivates the love of knowledge within the child, by not giving grades in the elementary levels children experience learning as an enjoyable process rather than a frightening, laborious task. Homeschooling encourages the development of authentic social skills and makes for a more well-rounded individual in my opinion. It also affords the parent an opportunity to create a strong bond with the child. Ironically homeschooled kids are known to perform better on standardized tests. With the collapse of the public-school system, and the formulation of curriculum by satanic individuals and institutions (google genderless schools in Europe), it is imperative now more than ever that we take charge of our children’s education and by so doing take control of our future as a species. Code of Ethics/ Objective Morality: All the above suggestions will be for naught if we fail to recognize the existence of objective standards of morality free from the influence of man as they serve as the foundation for any sane society. In this age of crony capitalism, gross materialism and outrageous consumerism, it is tempting to think of morality as something that is relative, this sought of attitude is what has led to the serious decay we see in the world today. Knowledge is power and with great power comes great responsibility. We must educate the younger generation about this responsibility. As they grow in knowledge they must grow in an understanding of morality as well. We as individuals must do our best to internalize and uphold these standards and together maybe just maybe we can create a peaceful, fun filled, sustainable future for all. |
adoyi8:I was just like you a very long time ago. When you are ready for truth you will probably look for this article and not find it. Good luck anyways bro |
adoyi8:What powers the pre-frontal cortex? How was it discovered that this portion of the brain affects these behaviors? Why will nature create something contrary to its own objectives? What is the purpose of the pre-frontal cortex from your reductionist perspective? Humans are not the only social creatures on earth. How do these creatures behave in comparison? Think outside the box. Science produces successful theories not true ones. |
adoyi8:Your view on this is a reductionist, materialistic one. In response to your first paragraph, we do not fully understand the mechanisms through which a cell functions, we know very little about how the human body operates, infact most of what we know about the body is simply hypothetical, granted we can describe how some processes work but we do not know why they work that way. You do not know the kind of intelligence or consciousness present in the cells so it is fallacious to assume they are not aware of each other. In your second paragraph, you personified the cell, giving it human attributes just to prove a point, this approach is ultimately wrong because simply put. cells are not human and humans are not cells, any attempts to draw comparison between the two is akin to comparing apples with oranges. Once upon a time, people believed the earth was flat, travel across continents took months, medical operations were basically death sentences. The people of yesteryear would look upon us today as gods. Just because you cannot figure out how an object can travel faster than light at the moment does not mean it is impossible to do so. In conclusion, it can be said that the function of our physical bodies is to survive and reproduce as you have mentioned. However, our ability to act beyond this primal desires is proof that they are not the paramount purpose, a monk can stay celibate for life, activists can go on hunger strike for weeks, people put themselves in harms way and deprive themselves of physical gratification all the time for intangible, immaterial ideas. Why? The reason is simple, we are more than just a clump of cells, we are much more than our physical bodies. We think and we feel, we are human. |
Anas09:Unfortunately for you, i do not recognize the bible as a credible source of information. |
gidgiddy:Nothing is impossible. We will get it done. Their system is equally flawed. It favors the English at the expense of the others. |
gidgiddy:You are right the current system has failed. It is time to create a new one, one that accounts for the diversity of the Nigerian people. It is time to think outside the box. We can make this work trust me. Throw of your cynicism and do some intellectual work. it is definitely easier to take the path of least resistance and throw in the towel but no good thing comes easy. With regards to you comment about a common purpose. We do have one, We all have a common desire to survive and that is enough to foster cooperation. if we do not do this we have no future, We are being left behind as a nation and as a continent, if we do not put aside our differences and work together now, we will surely regret it. |
