Mrs Ikpea alleged that her husband disregarded the appeal and the motion for stay of execution and went ahead to throw her out. She said that with the help of some hefty men, her husband threw her out bare-footed without providing her with any suitable alternative accommodation as ordered by the court.

That is the result of lawlessness. When court orders are not obeyed from above, not to talk of others, how do you expect people to comply.

Ironic that the fraud amount is 419. Truth is most politicians can't sustain the lifestyle they had out of power, hence the criminal plundering of resources while in Office.

What kind of fuckery is this our judiciary. He is a repeat offender and has been to jail severally for high profile crimes, and somehow miraculously he finds his way back on the streets.
If he had been put in jail for a long time, the victim might still be alive. Do police even have an efficient database for criminals in this country.

Someone on this forum predicted this yesterday.
Well, this is expected. Even though I oppose alot of his statements in the past, I really don't blame him. He was just being loyal to his Boss.
But I respect him for speaking up, despite being part of government.
The same way he was critiscizing Sanusi, he has now fell into the same trap of speak your mind and let your conscience be at rest.

And also note that his former Boss Ganduje, does not like any sort of criticism on his government and anything APC. He appreciates praise singers and sychophants more.

The truth is, there's no good Fulani man.

The Fulani herdsmen keep slaughtering innocent lives and properties of Southern Nigerians. This Sultan or whatever he's called is yet to condemned their atrocities, only to come praise them.

With ESN, MNK, Sunday Igboho, and other courageous and brave southerners, Fulanis would soon become endangered species in Southern Nigeria.

You totally missed the message.

Not surprising, one aboki said getting guns in the North was just like buying bread across the street. Unfortunately these people hide under religion, who will even imagine that a 13 year old and a 15year old are even in a relationship in the North of all places? Who will imagine an Hisbah commander being in a hotel with a married woman, also in the north? Hipocrisy at its maximum undecided

This is a clear case of Negligence on the uncles part , and unfortunately this happened. The boy is a minor and was obviously playing like children do. But you just had to jump on the thread and show your bigotry. Local hunters use Dane guns , did anyone give them license. Junk news reporting.
Congratulations on your likes. undecided
Politics / Re: Untold Story Of Nigeria-Niger Republic Rail Line by AMvanquish: 6:26pm On Feb 24, 2021
Agboriotejoye:

Nobody has said building rail from Lagos to Kano is a bad idea. It's Kano to Maradi that's a stupid and wasteful one. The combine GDP of NIger and Chad that you mentioned is not up to half of the combined GDP of Lagos and PH. So why waste $1.9bn to build a rail there when we can easily drop the goods at Kano and they pick it up and transport to their Maradi by road.
Financially speaking, there's nothing to be gained building a rail to the poorest countries in the world that depend on international aid to survive when we can build to Ghana that has ten times of their GDP and a bigger manufacturing and consumer base. This thing is simple

You need to read the article again. I did not make any mention of GDP.
You missed where the article stated that transporting goods at the moment from Lagos to Niger comes at neck breaking cost. These are land locked countries that utilize our ports at a significant cost thereby limiting their volume of trade. Connecting the rail to Maradi would open up a huge volume of trade between both countries and adjoining land locked countries.

If you are talking of poverty, don't forget we are the poverty capital of the world right now. Nigeria's poverty numbers is 3 times the Population of Niger.

If you are talking of Depending on Aid, which African country doesn't get aid at the moment, Nigeria inclusive, albeit some get more than others.

If you are talking consumer base Niger, Mali & Chad have double the population of Ghana (60M - compared to Ghana 31m). Which business would ignore 60million potential mouths.

It's a win-win for all if they are really sincere, might not seem so at the moment though.
Politics / Re: Untold Story Of Nigeria-Niger Republic Rail Line by AMvanquish: 1:45pm On Feb 24, 2021
Zico5:
There is no explanation that will make a meaning to sensible Nigerians. We all know this is a gimmick and an attempt to infiltrate Nigeria by Niger Republic thereby making it appendage of Nigeria. Niger Republic is a desert with few or nothing coming out of it except smuggling of rice which the citizens there engage at the detriment of Nigeria. If there should be such project, it should be between Nigeria-Benin-Ghana cos that's where some resources that are beneficial to this country are coming from. I pray nothing is done on the project before 2023 so that incoming government can cancel the nonsense. Buhari will surely pay for all the pain being inflicted on the masses.

Early in my career, I worked with an FMCG . I had clients / Big wholesalers in Kano Markets who gave me a combined turnover of a little over a billion naira monthly. Alot of their customers come from Chad, Niger & Mali axis. I was shocked to find out they even had customers who come from places like cameroon, Sudan and as far as Central African Republic.

They purchase goods and these goods are inturn loaded onto massive trailers for onward delivery. Not to even talk of those Niger /Chad business men that take delivery of their goods through Apapa-Tincan ports all the way to Niger/Chad.

Now imagine them cutting costs and shipping by rail, And the impact for local businesses in kano Saving every one time, money & Energy.
It looks like a waste but if you know Kano market well, you would relate better.

So it is now Kano is raising tax of the biggest public transport sector in it's state to #100, In my "village" Keke pays more that that

Yet Kano would miraculously be churnning quota figures to measure up with port-harcourt and Lagos State when internal revenue list comes out

Lord Luggard should be given another flesh in hell so he can burn again

The Issue is way more than the N100. Be reading now instead of this unnecessary venom.
They don't want to go to the bank/Remita just to pay N100. So just to pay N100 they have to go to bank, queue and waste time and all that. Hence they are asking for an alternative.

Story has it that Ahmadu Bello when he was approached for where ABU would be situated, he took them to a spot in Zaria and said, You can take all you want from this spot , all the way to Sokoto. grin

Just imagine your grandfather acquired land as big as 3 Football fields near this location back then. It would be for peanuts, almost free.

Dangote's grandfather in Kano acquired some large parcels of unwanted land back in the day. The rest is history.

Land would always be an asset.
