Politics / Re: Kano Traffic Agency, Hisbah Arrest Police Officer For Buying Beer. by AMvanquish: 6:21pm On Feb 04, 2021
wirinet:

I never supported the break up of Nigeria because I spent 2 years in sokoto in the 80s and I was never harrased. I drank beer without fear. We had joints that we drank without being harrased.

But now I don't think we can continue like this. Why will I be harrased for drinking alcohol in Nigeria? A lot of us Niger Deltans are traditional worshippers who use alcohol (dry gin) in our rituals. So the northerners are now telling us that we cannot worship freely in the north, but they can build mosques and shout "Allahu Akbar" on the niger-delta. It just doesn't make sense.

Very valid point
Politics / Re: Kano Traffic Agency, Hisbah Arrest Police Officer For Buying Beer. by AMvanquish: 6:18pm On Feb 04, 2021
'''''''"He warned that if nothing is done to check the excesses of the Hisbah corps, the Islamic police will erase every trace of Christianity in the state.

"If they allow this go on like this, this people, after dealing with beer, will start to attack salons and from there, they will go to churches and then they will get rid of anything Christian here.

"And the structure of this Kano is such that, non-indigenes are living in an area mapped out for them. The government created Sabon Gari, which means New Area. This area is where non-indigenes live. We don't go to cities where they stay, we just have to do whatever we want within the confines of this place and now, they are bringing their culture to this Sabon Gari. It's terrible."''''''

You see the above quote is total rubbish and has deviated from the original story. The reporter must be Biased & a JJC in the North. Sahara reporters` would soon turn to Sun NEWSPAPER. Most major States in the North have a Sabon Gari. Sabon Gari did not start today, it has been there since pre-independence.
And to say Non-Indigenes live only in Sabon Gari is lies from the pit of hell. This is just lying to whip up religious sentiments. The reporter must be an idiot. Christians are not going anywhere in Kano.

Business / Re: My Sister’s Bank Account Wiped Out. Please Help!!! (Photo) by AMvanquish: 6:16pm On Feb 02, 2021
lekki1444:
this one is an easy scam not to fall for. the one they used for me ehn ? it was self initiated by me so i didnt think it was a scam. first off let me say i pride myself in being extra careful. secondly i just dont trust nigerians so i never keep more than 50,000 naira in my nigerian account if i can help it. i keep my money in british accounts. in fact most times i try to leave my nigerian account empty and only put money into it as deem fit. fortunately for me on this particular day i only had 1400 naira in it. so the story started like this, i made like 3 failed transactions of like 11000 naira which though the transaction failed but the money was debited from my account. So i went to zenith banks facebook page because i was told on their facebook page they have assistants there who render help, and they really do. Unknown to me this their facebook page has being commandeered by scammers whose user ID is the zenith bank logo, so you will actually think you are talking to a zenith bank representative. i mean how can you suspect scam ? you are the one who went to the zenith facebook page and someone with the zenith logo is speaking to you right ? anyway so this guy said he is very sorry for what happened to me and he will look into the case and he asked me for the account number and date of birth. which i gave him both. next he said he would send me a token number and i should read it back to him which i did. next thing you know i got an alert that 1000 had disappeared from my account. i asked the guy that did he just take 1000 from my account, he said yes and then stopped talking and disappeared.

So in anger i got in my car and drove to zenith bank and explained what happened and they simply said i was lucky that all i had in the account was 1400, that if i had 1 million or whatever amount they would have wiped my account out. that the reason only 1000 was wiped out was because thats all that was there. so i said so is there anything that can be done to trace this guy ? they casually said no. In my mind i am thinking these people are not worried that a scammer is on their facebook page with a zenith logo scamming their customers ? she simply just laughed and said the moneys gone and we cant get the person. thats when i knew that my conviction never to keep any money in my nigerian account was correct. imagine a usa or a british bank knowing a sammer is on their facebookk page with their logo scamming their custtomers ? they will be so angry and will throw the FBI and CIA and interpol on the case and they will fish that person out that is destroying thheir business and tarnishing their name. but zenith bank simply just laughed and told me we cant get him and next time dont give out your details online. not like i was giving out my details to any random person. i was on zenith official facebook page speaking to someone with a zenith logo. ANYWAY THIS MY STORY AND IT HAPPENED 6 DAYS AGO

Don't mind them. You now wonder what is the use of the BVN they were disturbing Nigerians to obtain.

They usually verify after you have accepted offer and resumed work, since most times your under probation for 1 year before confirmation.

I beg to disagree, case study Atiku Abubakar, How can anyone tell whether he is Hausa or Fulani?, same goes for Aliko Dangote.

Aliko is Hausa. Everyone in Kano knows that. Their family history from his grand parents is clear to everyone there.
Atiku claims Fulani but his physical features betray that assertion. Because you speak a language doesn't necessarily make you Fulani, just like many speak Hausa but are not Hausa by tribe in the North.
These things are known to those who know. But no need raising dust.
It is when you go into politics or you want to marry into a family, you now start digging into family history. You'd be shocked of the real Origin/roots of some of these Big politicians in the North.

We no longer have Hausa people. Hausa as a stand alone ethnic group no longer exist. They have taken the Hausa-Fulani identity and they are happy and proud about it.

Refer to a Fulani man as Hausa and see his reaction & Vice Versa. Its textbooks and Media that created these terms most outsiders adopt, but on the real, it is quite different. They feed you with this Hausa-Fulani term and you all swallow it. They are distinct and can differentiate themselves, what binds them is religion, inter-marriage, and to a certain degree culture due to many years of co-existence together. There is nothing like Hausa-Fulani in the real day to day of these people, outsiders just love to call them that because of similarities of the aforementioned.

The Donation Saga.
Amaechi in a bid to have unlimited access to Rivers State Fund hand twisted the Rivers State House of Assembly to pass a certain bill that empowered him to spend at will Rivers money. This was the source of the unlimited fund he used in 2015.
Wike inherited this law and has no plan of repealling it.
APC Rivers State is aware of this and that is why they have made no serious comment about Wikes spending.
The Deal
Tambuwal is a trusted ally of Wike. The #500m given to him is for share between them.
Sokoto State House of Assembly will not probe the money since it is not theirs but a gift.
Wike will not be probed since he has a legislative backing to spend Rivers fund at will.
Meanwhile, there was a time when Mile One Market in Port Harcourt got burnt. I could remember Muazu then governor donating #250m for its rebuilding.
Wike might be reciprocating that.

We are always quick to forget.

Let me share a similar experience that happened to me in 2018. One of my Marketer took my ES 350 to show a Client. Client came along with 3 people (A hefty Army orderly, a mechanic and a driver). They met in front of a House in Ago-Palace. Marketer and the Mechanic first test drove the Car within the street, vehicle checked out, no complain. oga told the driver to test drive with marketer since he will be the one to drive his wife. After 2 successful test drive, oga requested for account number, text the account number to his supposed wife to credit us. As the whole transaction was going on they all believed the man live right in front of the house they all met. This crook was soo full of confidence.
While waiting for alert, oga said he will like to test drive the Car by himself. Marketer didn't bother following him thinking it's just within the street, dats how oga drove out of the street grin leaving behind the Marketer, mechanic, army orderly and driver. After 20mins the crook was no where to be found grin grin. Alarm was raised. The 3 of them were locked up in Police Station.
It turned out that his supposed driver was just an Uber driver who got tired of his hire purchase job and want to drive oga's wife grin The Army orderly came to Lagos for a Course in Ojo barracks but decided to make extra cash for himself by following he crook for days. The mechanic was just picked from a mechanic shop within the area.
The Case was reported and the Chasis number of the Stolen Car was logged. It was by the Grace of GOD I found the Car exactly 1 week after it was stolen. On my Birthday to be precise. How the Car was seen is a story for another day.

And they are very persuasive and experts at sweet talk. Lucky you.

I guess big gods don't think before spending

My guy like that serving in 2010 in Abuja was renting a Bq in one young woman's compound then. The woman was living in a 3 bedroom bungalow with maiguard and househelp. The bq was 2 bedroom, the househelp had one room & my guy was in the other room.

What kind of work do you do to be able to afford paying 50 million in cash for an automobile.

Maybe there is something they are not telling others in Nigeria.
