deedeedee1: These iddioots are dragging yorubas into another man's fight. I dont support southern unity, unless if that is the only way to split the country. But yet we will form oodua republic after the country splits. If these old foools have nothing to say, they should keep shut. The northerners and igbos fight is not our business. These fooools are not our leaders. Iam disappointed in this UR comment, I have been reading UR comments and saw u as a wise man. But on this u are very wrong. Its either Nigeria is one or its divided , either way the South need to work together to get what they deserve. Oodua or Biafra doesn't matter right now |

Gazzy88: Thank God we have a forum like nairaland, the largest in Nigeria and Africa, owned by a Yoruba man and domiciled in southwest that allows you "cretins" from upper Niger to formulate rubbish analysis in the name of ranking. It's been made known countless times that ogun ranks high as the most industrialized state in Nigeria, yet insecurity will make you bring rubbish threads here to sooth your ego meanwhile you guys are covertly generating revenue for another online company based in ogun which you lots love to hate. And if your states is more industrialized as tou always claim, why are you always running to the southwest? isnt that stupidity? Stay back home and enjoy your "industries",no you wont not until you grab a bus heading to either ogun or lagos.Whatever you say, anywhere in the world...the Westside always dominates. Deal with that you morons from the other side of the river. No let envy kill u my brother |

kingzizzy: The APC Government of Buhari will never implement any of these things, and even if they wanted to, the North will use its numerical strenght to block any these points being passed in the National Assembly
Restrcturing is dead in Nigeria...................unless huge deposits of Oil and Gas are found in the North U said it all. Which is why we lost hope. It is easy to divide Nigeria than to restructure |

Gwan2: Lobbying and diplomacy doesn't NECESSARILY have to do with number bro, Scotland or was it Wales had a referendum to either stay within the UK or exist as a sovereign country irrespective of their number. Although majority chose to be within the UK. Not in Nigeria, in Nigeria with our system of government, number is all that matters. Which is why it seems like a lot of other tribe hate northern , cos we all live at the mercy of the them which of cos is very wrong |
Politics › Re: Niger Delta Militants Issue Quit Notice To Northerners Again by amyzon: 2:40pm On Jun 16, 2017 |
Gwan2: Giving comes with diplomacy, lobbying, perseverance, one voice etc..........not threatening oil companies to relocate back to a troubled region or ordering legal oil bloc owners to relinquish their oil licence. Diplomacy, lobbying, one voice etc as u said require number to play out and that is one thing the south southerners lack. Which is why they settle for threat and blasting of pipe line |

Gwan2: In as much as am not in support of the recent quit notice by northern youth and hate speeches occupying our cyberspace.....I will like to ask a very pertinent question......WHERE DO THE NIGER delta PEOPLE STAND? . You dissociated yourselves from IPOB and still reacting aggressively to quit notice issued to them. . In this century NIGER DELTA still carry oil for head like it will make them be like Dubai if given 100% derivatives?....Pls go learn how southern Sudan fare Will their oil and its export polices. . In this era that OPEC member countries are trying to cut down supply of crude oil because of glut in market to maintain a reasonable price, yet some people still think crude oil gat dsame value it had 3 decades ago? . How had the massive monthly allocation, 13% derivatives, selected favors both from Federal and oil companies helped you guys over time......I jus saw a shell livewire business grant...wanted applying only for me to see it is restricted only for the NIGER Delta states.. . Yet some of you that had been curse from your ancestry think your problems is from the man working in chevron or Nnpc either in Lagos or Abuja...Think well, but this time add wisdom. The more reason why they should be given total control of their oil, very soon oil will lose value completely, they need to structure themselves well before that will happen |

deedeedee1: There is reason why i fight for an only yoruba republic. I do not want benin and itshkiri people to join. This is because we will form another "mini nigeria"...which will not be good for us at all. It will hinder our progress. The minorities will always complain of being marginalized. The igbos that attach themselves the niger deltans to form biafra do not know what is to come. They will regret they form a country with the niger deltans when the country eventually splits. Niger deltans themselves will have many problems, because of too much diversity. E.g Ijaws and urhobo, ijaws and itsekiri, benins and so on. I should not be talking about biafra anyways. Why is it that no group is pushing for Yoruba republic |

oseka101: my brother God bless you So obvious that some folks up there ain't happy on the restructuring of this great country .. Their main plan is to make the country ungovernable... Gullible Nigerians will feed on anything... Plssssss buhari give them their biafra let's see how long they last... "This issue and quest for power always ends at corruption, as they say absolute power corrupts" their so called called biafra will collapse because the foundation which is the intention was not for the benefit of you igbos but for someones quest and greed for power.... Be wise together we can change this country and remove the influence of so called kabal.. Its just a matter of time...... I don't believe u because our political class will never allow it. There's no hope for Nigeria. An average Igbo man truly does not want Biafra, but when u look at this country and where its heading to, it breaks my heart |

Politics › Re: Northern Elders Vow To Defend Buhari Presidency by amyzon: 12:31pm On May 12, 2017 |
signz: Unfortunately for them we're already restructuring before their own eyes.
Amaechi wants to concession our railways to GE. Soon private companies, State govts and individuals will start constructing rail lines.
Fashola wants to give back Lagos - Ibadan express road to Bi-courtney ( I saw it online last night). Soon other regions will start demanding that there own roads be concessioned to private companies. Eg Enugu - Onitsha Express road.
Hadiza just recently moved against the monopoly of Intel in oil logistics business. Soon this move will cause other hitherto moribund seaports in the Niger delta to be active.
Kachikwu is talking about modular refineries springing up in Niger delta (hopefully, Dangote and co won't move against it).
However, we must complete it by restructuring our system (Constitution).
One thing Northern elders don't know is that the age of high oil prices is long gone. Apart from Shale, USA now has a businessman as President. Trump will give executive orders to drill every oil well in USA and he doesn't give a damn about environment or climate change. Soon USA will get to 10m barrels per day.
Nigeria needs an investment of $30 billion every year in our infrastructures, we don't have the money and we can't borrow. Already according to economists for every $1 we make, we use 66cents to service our debts and the remaining 34cents will be used for both capital and recurrent expenditures.
The only way Nigeria can be developed is by opening up the economy and making Nigeria business friendly.
The only way we can achieve that is by restructuring.
Without restructuring, we are screwed as a nation. U are right , u didn't add that the northern have one thing that will never lose value , other region have oil, and oil is one thing that bring about climate damage . the world is moving away from oil and moving fully into renewable energy that is why the price of oil will keep coming down. Soon , States with oil will have no one to buy their oil. But that will never happen to food, food is one thing that u can't replace, now that is what the north have but their greedy and useless politicians will never let them discover that quality in them, Just because they want some sharp sharp money. Even if Nigeria divide today, no region can survive without needing food from the north, yes , they are that important and yet they don't value them self. The northern elite are the north biggest problem. Imagin processing and canning those food items that waste in the north or those items that they sale at a give away price, doing that alone will put an average northerner of the street, but no they don't want that |
Politics › #restructure Nigeria by amyzon(op): 9:08pm On May 04, 2017 |
Restructuring Nigeria is the only way. It is not the fault of buhari nor Jonathan or even obj. If we don't restructure , we will keep failing. It is not about who we elected nor tribe , it is about the system of government that we are practicing. Nothing good can ever come out of the system we are practicing |
