It is imperative that you mention it and thoroughly address it. That's the major reason people are asked to get their GCMS notes; to address/tackle any issues raised therein.

On you changing your course of study, ensure you can tie the new course to your previous study or your current line of work and thereafter ensure your SOP is airtight.

Thanks... Currently using 4 headers while writing.... My question now is that when is the refusal ish supposed to come in? First header or should be the last paragraph?? That's the confusion I am currently facing.... Thanks

Yes I am a prospective student, I studied international studies and diplomacy during my undergrad days but I have 2 years work experience as an on air personality (NYSC at a radio and TV station, currently interning at another radio station in my state) I hope it counts

Cause dad has 4m savings and 10m fixed deposit (which I just learnt isn't a good idea) while my brother has a domiciliary account dunno the amount in it though..... Please I need help thanks. Hey guys please help me with this issue I contacted the college concerning my course change and they replied saying that the only course remotely similar to my degree (International studies and diplomacy) is that of international business management. Do you think they are related or should I go for media courses since I have 2 years experience in a media house (voluntarily though, nysc and another internship program) or should I contact another college and ask for a refund of my school fees since I have already paid 50%?? What do y'all think about this?

Changing a course of study in order to address the concerns of the visa officer about your previous refused visa application doesn't affect your application, either it increases your chances and also goes a long run to satisfy the visa officer that you're a bona-fide applicant and your sole purpose of travelling to Canada is strictly for studies. Go ahead and apply for a program that has a strong correlation with your previous studies/current job role it demonstrates progression..

It's very possible to change your course of study. What program do you intend switching afterwards, is it a lucrative field that is financially rewarding in Nigeria after graduation from Canada.?

I will like to switch to something more government related as I studied international studies and diplomacy in the univ, and I feel my present course I was given admission for doesn't match my university degree (human resources and international business management). I want to change the course before reapplying again and I hope if doesn't affect my application o. What do you think sire

I was refused based on the fact that I might not return after the course of my studies due to purpose of visit, personal and financial situation, travel history and employment status.
