Hahaha I don't think Suarez was hungry today so he didn't fancy a bite. Then about the final, if there's no Russia/FIFA conspiracy it will be Brazil vs England final.

I'm very happy that France won Uruguay 2-0 which means that that they are through to semi finals, will play either Brazil or Belgium. Uruguay was poor today, they are usually a team that allows an opponent to attack and have possession then they respond effectively through counterattacks, they are not the best team to come from a goal behind and attack opponents. The game went dead for them after that awful mistake by their keeper Muslera, they also missed Cavani today, Suarez looked so isolated up front and needed a striking partner like Cavani. I'm looking forward to Brazil vs Belgium by 7pm, it's gonna be a goal galore

After 120 minutes, it finished 1-1 and Colombia vs England goes to penalties, England has the worst penalty record of any big team in major competitions, they haven't won any penalty shootouts in the world cup, the only time that they have won a penalty shootout at a major competition was against Spain in the quarterfinals of Euro 96.

Using a US referee to officiate an English world cup game was a bad idea. I would have complained from the get go.

Colombia has benefitted from the American referee more than England, they are supposed to have a player sent off in the 1st half and the penalty that they conceded in the 2nd half was not given, that action didn't even go to VAR.

England has zero creativity from midfield, they've got no number 10 or someone who could give decent balls to Kane and Vardy. They keep on losing the ball to Colombia when they try to attack without creating a chance.

Colombia had just one corner in the whole match and they scored from it. Yerry Mina has been a danger at set pieces all tournament and the English couldn't stop him.

Colombia didn't get the memo, it's football not rugby.

Colombia has defended well but England's passing and attacking tempo has been very slow, they are making it very easy for the Colombians to read their game and snuff off their attacks effectively, it seems England is solely dependent on set pieces in order to create a chance.
I didn't quite enjoy this mediocre 1st half bereft of any real chances, i expect a better and more lively 2nd half. England should also substitute Dele Alli for Loftus-Cheek, he's been anonymous throughout the 1st half.

They were lucky, very shaky in defense, if Japan were very defensiveb and did their game management better after leading 2-0, Belgium would have been knocked out. Japan played above expectations but was unlucky not to even take the game to extra time.

What a shame! Belgium did a very quick counterattack from a Japanese corner and score a last minute goal to win 3-2 after being 2-0 down... Heartbreak for Japan!!!

Belgium managed to get back into this game by using set pieces and crosses effectively, having big players like Fellaini also helps, the Spanish couldn't do that yesterday, that been said, Belgium still looks very shaky defensively so Japan can still create a shock and win this.
