Nairaland GeneralSafest Way To Compare Flights by aneldaking(op): 8:30am On Dec 27, 2016
Able men and women ready to make a choice after comparing different flight and conditions attached to them.

Calm down as I will be explaining to you the best and safest way to make a choice after comparing a flight.
Formerly the coach seat were seen as a normal seat which one can use in flying to whatever country he/she wants to fly to. Formerly nobody was interested in knowing the kind of seat flying to their destination what they were only after was price and availability.
Time they say flies, as those coach seats have now been customized to something else, seats now differs from sizes and prices, seat now are of different categories some now have screens on their seat for entertainments, power outlets, adjustable seats, comfortable cabins, different styles of window and fast WiFi.
Some factors are considered to get more weight than the rest; the following factors are what to look out for when comparing a flight.

Seat available: Most people will always prefer a certain seat position be it economy, business c or first class, the seat available determines the amount to be paid and that’s why its advice you always consult your travel agent to make comparison before making decision, because with them things will be a lot more easier.

Flight routes: some flight route might not favour you for example: Mr A wants to go to Nairobi for business from Ghana but want to fly with air France, this simply means that he/she will consume more time and money because Air France will fly you first to its Hub which is Paris (Charles De Gaul) before bringing you back to Nairobi.

Flight number of stopovers: it’s advised that you fly with the best airline for your route and always know the number of stopovers you will encounter before getting to your final destination.

Flight departure time: Most people will want a flight that departs in the morning time in other for them to accomplish one or two things that same day after safe landing. While some prefer the late hour departure time (Turkish air departs from Lagos by 23:55pm) because some will say they want to be asleep while they air airborne

Flight arrival time: Your arrival time matters a lot always take note of your arrival time, some airline arrives /land to their destination at late hour which is not advisable for anyone flying to a strange country for the first time

Terminals: Not all airline use same terminals and this may affect you especially if your ward is not familiar with the terminals

Type of aircraft: What type of air craft are you using? Are you using the Airbus family or are you using the Boeing family? Make your choice as they have different function and services.

Landing airport : confirm the landing airport as sometimes you might not know the exact airport you are landing especially when you are flying to a country that has so many international airport around, for example if you are flying to London Heathrow you might be entering the craft going to Newark airport.

I hope with these write up you can now compare and make good choice that really suit you Good luck in your choice!

Nairaland GeneralDifferences In Classes Of Service On A Plane by aneldaking(op): 11:08am On Dec 26, 2016
Differences in classes of service on a plane

An Airline generally is built with three travel classes namely:
First Class:

These seats are located in the front section of the cabin; its seats are very comfortable. First class provides all the benefits of business class it also offers upgraded meal service and personalized attention both at the airport and on board the plane. Money is good right?

First class fares are usually the most expensive.

Business Class:

These seats are located in the immediate middle section of the cabin. In Business class you enjoy the extra leg room, Broader seats, depending on the plane in some planes you can even lay flat, you enjoy an upgraded meal service as a business class customer you can be given a priority check in/boarding.

Business class Fares are usually expensive. Better things na money kill am right?

Premium Economy Class:

This class of seats is usually seen on an international flight. In Premium economy, passengers are offered special benefits just a little above the standard economy class, these include the extra leg room, broader seats, seat recline.

Economy Class:

This class is also known as coach class or travel class; economy seats are generally located in the cabin area of the plane and its seat is extended all the way to the rear of the plane. Off course these seats are always the lowest of all the classes on the plane. Passengers are given the basic necessities like basic accommodation commonly purchased by leisure travelers, but the truth is that economy seating can be quite cramped.

TravelEmirates Suspends Flight by aneldaking(op): 10:53pm On Dec 23, 2016
Emirates Suspend Flight From Abuja

Emirates airline suspended flight operations to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja since October 22, 2016.
"Emirates has huge money in naira at the banks. It cannot repatriate its sales because it cannot buy dollars. This is having negative effect on their operations," Emirates.

This is because of the uncertainty in foreign currency repatriation policy of Nigeria, which has led to a loss of 90 billion Naira by most foreign airlines in the previous year on account of repatriating 870 million Dollars stuck in the economy then released recently after the devaluation of the naira.

After the devaluation, the 870 million Dollars that was gathered from sold airlines’ ticket then exchange rate was still at N196 to a dollar, which was taken out of Nigeria at new rate of N320 to a dollar, leading to the drastic loss of a money.

The Nigerian aviation sector has always struggled with the many unfriendly Forex policies of Central Bank of Nigeria.

At the main time Emirates has issued a warning to the Aviation sector that if there is no change after the suspension of flights to Abuja, Emirates would be left with no other option than to suspend Lagos operations permanently and exit from the Nigerian market.

TravelNigera To Close Down Abuja Airport For 6 Weeks by aneldaking(op): 7:32am On Dec 21, 2016
Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, will be temporarily closed for complete six weeks in February and March next year 2017 this is to complete the repairs on the run way. Says the Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika.

Mr. Sirika made it known to the public on Monday that the temporary closure will give the contractors enough time to carry out total re-construction on the badly damaged airport runway.

According to the minister the runway would still be in function within the six months of rehabilitation but that the six weeks would allow the mid-section of the runway to be reconstructed.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reconstruction of the runway through the emergency procurement procedure for work to commence.

The minister said government could not afford to close down Nnamdi Azikiwe airport Abuja for a too long a time as Julius Berger had been working on the runway in the last three months.

“From start to finish of the runway, it will take six months. However, we will be using the runway almost throughout the period except for about six weeks when the runway will be closed.

“That is when we are going to do the mid-section of the runway.

“The government has accepted the design done by the contractor. The runway will last for than 10 years on completion early next year,” he said.

Mr. Sirika said all passengers flying in or out Abuja to any part of the world will be using Kaduna airport as alternative during the six weeks.

All arrangement had been made with Kaduna State, promising that federal government will provide buses to convey the passengers to Abuja while the Kaduna state government will be provide security for every passenger.

According to Aviation Minister Mr. Sirika, the closure for 6weeks will cost government substantial amount of money “but we think that palliative approach is wrong because three years down we will come back to do the same repairs.

“Therefore, we decided to go for the bigger option which is to do structural repairs if the runway which will take about six months to complete,” So he said.

On the Bilateral Air ties with other countries, the government had signed BASA with over 20 countries that Nigerians frequently visit and do business with.

The Memorandum of Understanding, he said, would give Nigeria the viable opportunity to operate air services with 20 countries.

“With this, we have the freedom to fly and land safely in other air space and this will assist in opening our market.’’

Nairaland GeneralCategories Of Jobs That Can Make You Age Faster And Decreasing Your Life Span by aneldaking(op): 8:17am On Dec 15, 2016
Categories of jobs that can make you age faster thereby decreasing your life span
Not only can a heavy workload be tiring, it often drives you to work for longer hours than you would want to. This simply means that you spend time that you would prefer to use for the things that you enjoy doing or gives life value working to you. Do you have a heavy workload at work? See 10 Categories of jobs that can make you age faster thereby decreasing your life span
SOLDIER:
In recent days, news had it that Boko Haram have been dealing with our soldiers. This job doesn't guarantee a long life.

FACTORY WORKS:
I don't think I can ever do this kind of job. I have friends who are into this job. They are always complaining of the unbearable conditions that are attached to the job, even though some of them are highly paid, especially those ones that are on night shift. Sometimes you will see their adverts scribbled on walls, "Factory Workers Needed, N40, 000 per month" shocked
BRICKLAYING:
This should top the list. My research and evidence have shown that this job normally make men age faster. You will see a 40 year old man looking like a sexagenarian. This kind of job will definitely make you age fast and will decrease your life span.

Website Moderating:
I always credit the effort of site moderators, especially the moderators of one of the best Forums in Nigeria, Nairaland; who are always online at odds hours to moderate and send defaulters to jail even when many of us are already snoring. Sometimes, I ask myself "do Lalasticlala, Mynd44, Obinoscopy and Fynestboi ever have time to bleep their girfriends when their girlfriends are dying of konji?" cheesy
CEMENT OFF LOADERS:
This work na die. Sometimes, I see some of these workers with two bags of cement on their heads and I begin to wonder if they have fixed shock absorbers to their necks. This kind of job will make you age faster.

REFUSE AND SEWAGE WORKS:
Even though I can't do this job, I always have compassion on those Abo.kis each time I see them working under intense sun. However, they are always looking so dirty and tattered even after working hours.

Faeces Disposing:
This remind me when I was working as a faeces packer, I almost lost my life to that job due to the stress associated with it. Both girlfriends and family members always complained of how old I was ageing more than my grandfather. I had no choice other than quit this job when my girlfriend started complaining that I was smelling "poo poo" even after working hours. This job is not the right prospect for a man that wants to live long.

TRUCK DRIVERS/MOTOR BOY (Pure water selling vans ):
In the year 1982, I once worked as a motor boy for a pure water company. I almost lost my life to this job. Even though you are ill, it's not an excuse to be absent from work.

Prostitution:
A prostitute is a prostitute no matter how we try to embellish it with modernized names such as oloshos, runs babes or whatever. I just pity these hungry bastards who trade their kitty-cats in consideration for money or Iphone6. However, even though these ladies claim that their kitty-cats are well taken care of, I can't imagine myself bleeping them. Even though some of may look prettier than Angelina Jolie, I can assure you that it doesn't make them free from diseases. The life of both prostitutes and the patronizers are at stake cheesy

MY PERSONAL CHAT WITH AN ONLINE CONSULTANT ON MMM

Consultant joy:

Thank you for visiting MMM! How can i help you?

Me:

Hello

Consultant joy:

Hi

Me:

Really confuse and scared of the breaking news we are getting everywhere. What's really went wrong ma?

Consultant Joy:

The truth is what you have on your PO. There is a temporary hold on all Mavros from Nigeria. This is just to protect the community from going down.
We have learned based on many experiences that during this yuletide season members usually ask for GH more than PH and when the balance is not in equilibrium its will go down negatively, there might be an upset in the system.
So Far MMM Nigeria is doing great, the Admin aim is to keep this community alive and active for a very long time and that's what we all aspire to do, right?
So in order to do that, we have planed out a preventive measure which is to hold the Mavros during the yuletide season. But once the yuletide season is over everything should go back to normal. So there is no need to panic; participants just have to be patient so that the community will be even stronger than it already is. We are not on any terrible situation; we are doing what's best for everybody.

Me:

I see. Does that mean I should still go ahead and provide help that I’ve been matched to pay since?

Consultant Joy:

Of course, you should

Me:

OK. But someone who was also matched to pay me refused to pay me, and I didn’t get reassigned as before. Will I also have to wait until January?

Consultant Joy:

Yes, you have to wait. So Sorry.

Me:

OK. Thank you. The media is really doing a bad job making people panic. I pray we prevail.

Consultant Joy:

Certainly

Me:
One last question huh What plans does Admin have if by January everybody wants to GH and no PH?

Consultant Joy:

The system is being reconfigured in such a way that henceforth everybody can’t GH at the same time as Mavro will now be credited every day, not necessarily Tuesdays and Thursdays. That way all participants won’t have any need to GH at the same time, but on a 30-day cycle.

Me:

You know as it stands now, when Mavros are unfrozen in January as promised, everybody will want to GH immediately...You understand? Will that not be another problem?

Consultant Joy:

The system will no longer allow everybody to GH at the same time since it will now be on a 30-day cycle. This was really an opportunity to improve the system. Admin is considering every possibility ahead of time.

Me:

Ok. Thank you. You are doing a wonderful work here. Please keep it up

Consultant Joy:

Nairaland GeneralNnamdi Kanu, Set To Expose Secrets That Will Break Nigeria by aneldaking(op): 12:59pm On Dec 14, 2016
Federal High Court in Abuja Trial Justice Binta Nyako has just permitted Federal Government to shield identities of witnesses ready to testify against the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu.

In her rulings, 2days ago, Justice Nyako insisted that names of all the prosecution witnesses against Kanu, who are mostly security operatives, would not be disclosed in any record of the court proceedings.

Justice Nyako said the witnesses would be permitted to testify against the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, behind a screen that would be provided by the court.
Source:http://www.karisastravel.com/2016/12/nnamdi-kanu-set-to-expose-secrets-that.html

Justice Nyako, went further to stress that the defendants and their counsel would be permitted to see the witnesses testifying against them, who she said would enter through a special provided door which can only be accessed by the defendant and their counsel.

However the trial judge has directed the prosecution and defense lawyers to appear the following day to test-run the trial procedure.

Kanu turns down ruling

Meanwhile, Kanu immediately turned down the court ruling, insisting that it was against the tenets of justice and fair-hearing.

“I won’t stand this travesty of justice. Buhari spoke in public, he accused me in public. I must also be allowed to stand my trial in public,” Kanu spoke from the dock.

“Please sit down and allow me to handle this issue. I am your counsel. You briefed me to represent you, so please, allow me to handle it. I did not travel all the way from Aba for you to take over the brief, unless you want to debrief me”, Kanu’s lead counsel, Mr. Chuks Mouma, SAN, pleaded with Kanu.

Similarly, other defendants through their various lawyers, also insisted that the trial must be in the open since they were accused in the open saying they would not subscribe themselves to any form of secret trial.

They said they would only subscribe to an open trial.

I will expose secrets that will sink Nigeria says Kanu

Just shortly after the court must have fixed January 10, 11 and 12 of all in January to commence the trial, IPOB leader Kanu, who could no longer hold the anger in him, angrily stood up again, saying he would in the course of the trial, expose things that would break Nigeria.

“This is nonsense. I will give testimony before this court. By the time I finish, there will be no Nigeria. This is no Sharia court. It is a court that operates under the Nigeria common law.

“There will be no screening of witnesses, no fake identities or fake addresses. I cannot be tried in secret. No. Nnamdi Kanu cannot be jailed in secret. They are mad. Why must I be tried in secrecy by a government that does not obey court orders?

“They are killing my people in public. After killing my people, they want to try me in private? That person is mad. I won’t allow it,“ Kanu flared.

Kanu IPOB leader is facing an11-count charge (treasonable) alongside three pro-Biafra agitators, Mr. Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi.

The defendants had earlier alleged plot by the Federal Government of Nigeria to import foreigners from neighbouring countries to testify against them.

Counsel to the 4th defendant (David Nwawuisi), Mr. Maxwell Okpara, told the court that most of the proposed witnesses were imported from neighboring countries.

“My lord, we have uncovered their strategy to import Ghanaian s and people from Cameroon to appear in this court to testify against my defendants.

“We as Nigerians will resist that plot. It cannot work. That is why they are insisting that they should testify behind screen. That plot has failed, it will not work”, Okpara disclosed.

The defendants made the allegation on the 1st of December, a day the court refused to release them on bail.

It was also a day pro-Biafra protesters paraded at the court, chanting war songs.

The protesters, putting on Jewish apparels, stormed the premises of the court on Tuesday, brandishing various Biafra insignia, also chanting pro-Biafra songs.

However armed security operatives barred them from entering into the court room.

The defendants had predicated their bail applications on sections 158, 162 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, as well as section 35 and 36 of the 1999 constitution, as amended.

They contended that charges against them were not felony punishable with death, and that the offenses were also bail able.

Contending that the presumption of innocence under the Nigerian constitution was in their favor, the defendants said their bail from detention would enable them to properly face and defend the charge leveled against them.

Besides, they insisted that their right to self determination was guaranteed both by the Nigeria constitution and Article 20 of the Africa Charter on Peoples and Human Right.

According to IPOB leaders they insisted that IPOB has been registered in over 30 countries, and has not been proscribed or branded as a dangerous organization under any law.

The defendants expressed their preparedness to produce valuable sureties before the court.

However, FG, adamantly opposed the release of any of the defendants on bail.

Mr. Shuaibu Labaran, the Government lawyer told the court that the defendants would constitute “a threat to national security”, once made freed from custody.

Labaran, who further applied to the court for protection of witnesses billed to testify against the defendants, drew attention of the court to the fact that the 1st defendant, Kanu, has dual citizenship.

He argued that Kanu who he said has both Nigerian and British passports, would escape out of the country if released on bail.

While praying the court to allow the defendants to attend their trial from Kuje prison, Federal Government stressed that Onwudiwe was a major threat to the Government saying he was the only one facing a particular count of “preparatory to commit an act of terrorism”.

In her ruling, Justice Nyako, held that charge against the defendants “are very serious in nature”, and therefore not ordinarily bailable.

“Irrespective of what the charge is, the court has to exercise its discretion on way or the other”, the Judge held, adding that some of the charges against the defendants could attract life imprisonment if proved by FG.

Justice Nyako also dismissed contention by the defendants that President Muhammadu Buhari had openly ordered that they should never be released on bail no matter what.

The Judge held that President Buhari, being a citizen of Nigeria, has the right of liberty to exercise how he feels concerning the matter.

The Justice maintained that the President can not influence the decision of the court, saying the defendants did not place any new fact or law capable of persuading the court to reverse an earlier ruling of the court that refused them bail.

“The offenses are serious in nature and carries very severe punishment if proven.

“I hereby therefore refuse bail of the applicants. But in the alternative, I hereby order accelerated trial of this matter to almost commence immediately, but not later than two months”, the Judge held.

Specifically, FG had in the charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015, alleged that the quartet conspired to commit treasonable felony contrary to and punishable under section 516 of the Criminal Code Act, CAP. C38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2014.

FG alleged that they committed the offense along with others who are nowhere to be seen, on different dates in 2014 and 2015, in Nigeria, London and United Kingdom.

It told the court that the defendant planed among themselves to broadcast on Radio Biafra which is monitored in Enugu state and its environs, preparations they were making for states in the South-South zones and other communities in Kogi, rivere, akwa ibom and Benue states, to secede from the Federal Republic of Nigeria with a view to constituting same into a Republic of Biafra.

Whereas FG identified Kanu as the source- behind the “hate broadcasts”, it pointed Onwudiwe as the National Coordinator of the IPOB movement.

The defendants had on November 8, pleaded not guilty to all the count charges against them, even as the court adjourned to hear their bail applications.

Kanu was at the past facing a six-count treason charge with Madubugwu and Nwawuisi, before FG amended the charges to include Onwudiwe as one of the defendants.

Justice Nyako is now the third judge to handle the trial after two judges withdrew from the case.

It will be recalled that the former judge handling the matter, Justice John Tsoho had on September 26, disqualified himself from presiding over trial of the defendants.

Justice Tsoho who earlier denied the defendants bail, premised his decision to hands-off the case on a petition pending against him before the National Judicial Council, NJC.

Kanu and his co-accused persons had in their joint petition, alleged that Justice Tsoho indulged in act of “judicial rascality”, by delivering conflicting rulings on the same subject matter.

They alleged that the judge summarily reversed his previous ruling that barred the Federal Government from shielding all the witnesses billed to testify against them.

The defendants insisted that the Judge denied them fair hearing on the day he gave FG the nod to produce “masquerades” to testify against them.

Justice Ahmed Mohammed who was the first judge Kanu was taken to by FG, had in a bench ruling he delivered on December 23, 2015, also distanced himself from the matter.

Kanu who was hitherto the Director of Radio Biafra and Television, ‎has been in detention since October 14, 2015, when he was arrested by security operatives upon his arrival to Nigeria from his base in the United Kingdom.

The defendants were alleged to have committed treasonable felony, an offense punishable under Section 41(C) of the Criminal Code Act, CAP C38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria.

FG alleged that they were the ones managing the affairs of the IPOB which it described as “an unlawful society”.

Kanu was alleged to have illegally smuggled radio transmitters into Nigeria, which he used to disseminate “hate broadcasts”, assisting the “secession of the Republic of Biafra”, from Nigeria.

The IPOB leader had earlier denied the charges, even as the court, on January 20, ordered remand of the defendants at Kuje prison ‎in Abuja.

Count one of the charge against the defendants read: “That you Nnamdi Kanu, ‘M’, Onwudiwe Chidiebere ‘M’, Benjamin Madubugwu ‘M’, David Nwawusi ‘M’ and others now at large, on diverse dates in 2014 and 2015 in Nigeria and London, United Kingdom, did conspire amongst yourselves to broadcast on Radio Biafra monitored in Enugu and other areas within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, preparations being made by you and others at large, or states in the South East and South South zones and other communities in Kogi rivers, akwa ibom and Benue States to secede from the Federal Republic of Nigeria with an aim to constituting same into a Republic of Biafra and you thereby committed a punishable offense under section 516 of the Criminal Code Act, CAP.C38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2000”.

MMM Nigeria One-Month Freezing of Confirmed Mavros.

Yesterday 12th December 2016, the MMM Nigeria members received a message from the MMM administration informing them that there will be a one-month freezing of confirmed Mavros (thats those who has provided help and has waited for two weeks and above for their 30percent bonus to grow).

Source:http://www.karisastravel.com/2016/12/mmm-nigeria-upgading-and-not-crashed.html

Written below is the message that was published by the MMM Global admins.

Dear members!

As usual, in the New Year season the System is experiencing heavy workload. Moreover, it has to deal with the constant frenzy provoked by the authorities in the mass media. The things are still going well; the participants feel calm; everyone gets paid – as you can see, there haven’t been any payment delays or other problems yet – but!.. it is better to avoid taking risk.:-)) (Moreover, there are almost three weeks left to the New Year.)

Hence, this only means that all MMM members who are yet to Get help can no longer get help until the upgrade is complete , upgrade is set to be completed in one month time.

This doesn't not stop you from providing help to any one merged to you as you can only not get help within a stipulated time (one month)

The reason for these act is only to curtail the outflow of money from MMM at this Yuletide season to prevent any problem once everything calms down this measures will be cancelled

We hope for your understanding,

NYSCDeath In NYSC Camp:president Muhammadu Buhari Calls For An Independent Investiga by aneldaking(op): 10:20am On Dec 13, 2016
Death in NYSC Camp: My daughter was very healthy and nursed no ailment Father of deceased

Mr. Olawale Oladepo, a retired Sanitary Inspector and the father of late Ifedolapo Oladepo, a vibrant youth corps member, who died in Kano while on orientation camp, NYSC camp, insisted that the untimely death of his daughter was allegedly caused by the carelessness of NYSC.

According to the father, Dolapo had no trace of ailment before she embarked for Kano on Thursday, 24 November, and called at regular intervals along the journey till she got to Kano around 1:00am the following day and headed straight for the NYSC Orientation Camp.

He wondered how Dolapo, who played actively and appeared so radiant in all the pictures she sent home could die of kidney infection, according to the medical certificate of the cause of her death issued by Gwazo General Hospital that alleged that she died of kidney infection.

He believed the death was due to carelessness and negligence attitude of the NYSC, adding that the authority should come out with a concrete account of what went wrong to his daughter between 8:00am on Monday that she reported to the camp clinic and the time she passed on at 4:am the second morning.

“The death certificate issued by the Gwazo General Hospital, Kano said she had sepsis that led to kidney infection. I wonder if truly she had kidney infection, did the camp have proper medical facilities to have kept her, and why taking her to the General Hospital with no facilities to treat such ailments?”

Conditions for exhuming the body

Mr. Olawale Oladepo The father of Ifedolapo Oladepo, the corps member from Osun State who died at the camp of the National Youth Service Corps in Kano State, Mr. Olawale Oladepo, has said that the Federal Government must meet certain conditions before the family would allow the remains of her daughter to be exhumed for post-mortem autopsy.

President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered an independent investigation into the controversial death of the first class graduate who was 26-year-old in Transport Management from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho.

Solomon Dalung the Minister for Youths and Sports, had said that Ifedolapo’s remains would be exhumed for post-mortem autopsy.

The family also said they are yet to be in any communication with anyone on the matter.

The family also argued that it will only consider such option after all avenues such as listening to the preceding conversations of Dolapo through communication network has been looked at.

Addressing newsmen in Osogbo yesterday, the father of the deceased, Mr Olawale Oladepo urged President Muhammad Buhari to caution the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung against making inflammatory statement that could aggravate the pains of parents and family members over the untimely death of Dolapo.

He also asked the Federal Government to explore all avenues, including the conversations of the deceased with members of the family before her death.

Mr Oladepo, accompanied by other members of the family and concerned friends of the deceased, gave account of what transpired between his daughter Ifedolapo and other members of the family before her death.

While appreciating President Muhammad Buhari at making sure a vivid investigation is conducted into the circumstances that led to the death of his daughter, Mr Oladepo pledged his absolute cooperation with the panel.

He also appreciated the Governor of his state,Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, National Assembly members, members of Osun State House of Assembly and the media for their interest in the circumstances that led to the death of Ifedolapo.

Corps member father’s account

According to father; ‘’Dolapo had no ailment and nursed none. She was very OK hale and hearty. I personally took her to the park to board a bus going to Kano and the bus departed at 6am on Thursday November 24.

‘’After a short father to daughter talk at the park, the bus departed at 9am. My daughter called at regular intervals along the journey till she got to Kano at around 1am the following morning. ‘’At dawn of 25th, she headed straight for the NYSC Orientation Camp with two other friends she journeyed with from Osogbo.

‘’After much ordeals of registering at the camp, she called me in the afternoon to keep me informed of developments.

‘’At 6:30am the following morning (Saturday, 26th November, 2016), she called again as usual. She reported that they were woken up by 4am and that they had finished the morning drill after which they would go for another parade and the opening ceremony later.

‘’On that Saturday, she sent home all the pictures taken with funfair with some of her friends and she looked hale and hearty that day according to the pictures as she participated in all the activities of the day.

‘’I now wonder if a person who had kidney infection as claimed by the NYSC could participate and be so radiant in all the pictures she sent.

‘’On Saturday, 27th, she reported there were no activities. Her mother even called her that Sunday to send her NYSC state code number and she did not complain of any ailment. It was on Monday she called her elder sister complaining that she felt sick and was not being attended to because they thought she was trying to avoid the day’s drill.

‘’The sister started conversations with the medical personnel on duty and begged them to attend to her. The sister’s battery went flat so she called an uncle who is a consultant. The uncle asked what she was given, they told him Placebo.

‘’After some persuasion, they agreed to give her medications. Sometimes later, when her sister’s phone came on, she told her they administered some drugs on her and shortly after, her speech slurred, the tongue twisted and she could not talk properly.

‘’There were visible patches of blood under her skin and rashes all over her body. She took the picture of the hand to testify to this and she sent it home. When her sister called again, the medical personnel on duty told her she reacted to the drugs given and that they had given her hydro cortisone to counter the reactions and that after one hour, if her situation did not improve, they would transfer her to a teaching hospital after much plea from the sister asking them to transfer her to the teaching hospital.

‘’The battery of the deceased phone later went off. When the younger sister called her around 4pm of that same day, she answered the phone but complaining she has not been taken to any health institution requesting that we should come by air to take her back home.

‘’It was then the sister called Ilorin and when they said the plane had departed and another wouldn’t be available till Wednesday, she travelled to Ibadan to catch the night bus to Kano. It was on their way that the sister was called around 4am on Tuesday, that she had passed on.

Request for NYSC’s story

‘’My request to NYSC is to give the family and the entire world a vivid account of what happened to my daughter between 8am on Monday that she reported to the camp clinic and the time she passed on at 4am the second morning as reported by them.

‘’The doctor on duty at the Gwazo General Hospital, Kano said she had Sepsis that led to kidney infection. I wonder if truly she had kidney infection, did the Camp have proper medical facilities to have kept her; and why taking her to the General Hospital with no facilities to treat such ailments?

‘’Hence, by implication, whatever ailment may have developed when she got to camp could not have resulted to death if she had been promptly attended to and taken care of. However, she died out of carelessness and negligence attitude of the NYSC

‘’Lest I forget, the NYSC may now tell me what the relationship is between the second hand knickers she was alleged to have worn, the rashes on her body, the twisted tongue, the blood patches on her skin, the fingers and toes that turned black, the slurred speech and the kidney infection that they claimed she had.

‘’Until they give answers to these questions, we have little to talk about. This is not in a way to indict anybody but to bring out the truth of the whole scenario.

‘’Apparently, she was not taken to any tertiary hospital until she died, according to the medical certificate of the cause of death issued by Gwazo General Hospital and I quote; “She died as I’m aware or informed on the 29th of November, 2016 at 4am and that the cause of death was Septic shock and kidney injury”.

According to the father; ‘’I’m worried about this report that she had Urinary Tract Infection leading to kidney injury. Thus, I wish to state for the umpteenth time that the cause of death as claimed by NYSC is simply contradictory!

‘’May I also recall that as she conversed with me and the sister the twisted tongue showed because her speech was slurred. We have strong cause to believe their accounts were mere fabrications.

‘’People don’t mind calling white black just to cover up. All we are saying is, the NYSC negligence sent our daughter to her early grave.’’

The Nigerian Army has just disclosed the set points of their involvement within the present Rivers elections.

It is confirmed that troopers of 6 Division Nigerian military gave safety throughout the Rivers state -run election that was carried out.

"As well as, the allegations made by some revered politicians relating to deep involvement of troopers throughout the elections had been aimed toward tarnishing the optimistic picture of the military."

Reasons why military was compelled to give a press report, the military mentioned the accusations needed to be clarified.
"The voters accused soldiers of snatching ballot boxes, illegal escorts of key politicians, assault and detention of voters in the entire conduct of the elections.

"The nature of those allegations could cause angry members of the general public to look at troopers negatively, hence the need to adequately inform the general public on the true perspective of the matter.

"Thus want to think about them as mere farce to garner public sympathy."

The rescue of the kidnapped National Youth Service Corps members played prominently within the assertion.

"At Emouha, Mr Oblewaremu abducted five NYSC members with election gadgets in a space bus. The 5 NYSC members have been rescued just as the suspect was handed over to the police.
"Several shooting were recorded in some communities such as Bodo, the home town of the secretary to the state government, B-dere and Mogho in Gokhana LGA, including snatching of ballot boxes

"The most brutal incidence happened at Ujju Neighborhood a stone throw to Omoku in Onelga were police patrol team was ambushed. Within the ambush, 10 policemen scampered into the bush," they clarified.
On a very sad note, the army revealed the death of DSP Alkali Mohammed during a rescue mission by the policemen, saying:

"The mobile police organized a rescue mission. Were unfortunately, the team discovered that DSP Alkali Mohammed of mobile police unit 48 was beheaded along with his orderly

"The patrol vehicle was also taken away with weapons, three policemen escaped whereas 5 had been missing in action.
"This is the same point where soldiers of 34 Brigade had been ambushed on November 2016, same point where a soldier was killed. In addition to this November 21, 2016, 4 personnel of NSCDC were killed and their weapons taken away.
"These attacks are reasonable evidence of violation of breach of legislation and order which painting the realm as a flash line.

"Regardless of this barbarism, the Armys acted with great civility and professionally guaranteeing peaceable election."

The Nigerian military concluded by giving the following breakdown:
"Nigerian army is a respected institution with constitutional responsibility to safeguard lives and property, could not stand to watch miscreants and touts abducting, molesting and killing innocent citizens.
"The Rivers state re-run election by Gods grace was believed to be credible, free, fair and peaceful in parts of the state.
"Accusations of soldiers partisanship therefore was sham and phony.
