gohf:In simple English, you believe in a post tribulation rapture. It's okay. Just wanted to know where your views stand on. For me I'm open ended. Whether it's a Pre tribulation or a post tribulation I'm keeping myself ready for any of them |
gigabyte13:Would you mind sharing one to inspire us here? I also have experienced several miracles like the one I got helped by a strange woman one night while I was trying to move my CPU and desktop computer home. She just offered to help me that night and I don't even know her. She was quite mature like a mum returning home from work. I won't mention the countless times I was miraculously rescued from Hunger |
I can mention about three Orphaned Raising teenagers Poverty until you experience these three, you'll never know what's it's like. |
ChybuzzDD:It's this complex state of mind that'll rob of true miracles even when you experience it. |
MaxInDHouse:Preacher you want me to enter you abi? You won't make and you even can't. You had better hold fast to what is true before the scales fall from your eyes. I don't have the time to hold a debate with you. I'm gonna tell you this straight in all honesty. You love to argue passionately about things you presume you know. That's your fault. I just hope you don't realize it too late. Anyways you can't change my mind on my belief so don't try cos even if you use the language you used in the above post, you still won't make me doubt what my bible tells me. You say your Organization of believers the JWs are right and all others are wrong aiight. Again I'm gonna repeat what I said earlier. We'll soon know who was right and who was wrong when that day comes. |
gohf:Are you trying to say you don't believe in the Second coming of.Jesus as the Bible outlines it? |
Hhh4444:You're the one who should wake up cos the rapture is an established event that will Mos def occur. No one knows the hour or moment but that it will occur is a certainty |
Hhh4444:You're the one who should wake up cos the rapture is an established event that will Mos def occur. No one knows the hour or moment but that it will occuris a certainty |
gohf:Which group do you belong. The Pre tribulation rapture or the post tribulation rapture? |
donMIG:You still have an opportunity to mend tour ways and acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and saviour |
Good morning guys A beautiful Sunday to you. The Bible says that the wicked flees when no one is chasing them but the righteous are as Bold as a Lion. History is filled with brave heroes who stood up for what is right and decided to right the wrongs in their society. Some end up as heroes while some end up as matyrs. Being a Matyr isn't bad in itself but for one flaw. The person is never alive to witness the change he or she fought for. Take for example our own matyrs. Dele Giwa, Ken Saro Wow a and others who spoke up and advocated for the civil rights of their nation and paid the penalty with their life. Some of these matyrs died without an evidence of their message being heard and received while some like Martin Luther King and Malcolm X saw a glimpse of their message being heard and today we can see the impact of their message in the world today. I'd rather be a hero like David, Ehud, Jephtar, Daniel and his friends etc than a matyr like Stephen. Who died but nevertheless lead to the ultimate conversion of Saul who later became Paul. We live in a world ruled by egocentric and Narcissistic individuals who'll either remove or try to gain the support of someone they consider a threat to their ambition. Case in point: Daniel was one of the young vibrant guys that were led captive by the Babylonians yet he ended up serving four Heathen kings. In one scenario, A decree had been passed around by some members of the King's cabinet who were envious of Daniel that for the next 30 days no one should bow before any God save the King and the punishment for disobedience was a timeout with the Lions in their den. The very day Daniel heard about the Decree, he went to his house, climbed to the penthouse, opened his windows and prayed to his God three times as he had always done. That action he took was a courageous one which secured his eventual deliverance cos when he was thrown into the Lions' den, the hungry lions decided to go on a fast and would not eat or maul Daniel. That event made Daniel an hero. In conclusion, it's better and wiser to be a hero than a matyr. You live to see the reward of the change you fought for instead of a posthumous celebration. So which would you rather be? @nlfpmod

MaxInDHouse:In the end we'll know who's right and who was wrong. Till then I'll keep on occupying and doing His will of propagating His message. God bless you |
MaxInDHouse:Won't argue what's a basic truth with you. To do that is to subject myself to a Hamster Ferris Wheel. Trading words back and forth without achieving anything. Jesus said He is the Way the Truth and The Life. All the other religion point to something as their way to freedom. True Christianity points to Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross. This isn't even an arguable fact John 3 explains it all and 2nd Corinthians 5:17-21 cements it. |
CJStarz:As kids we had access to its powdered form which we normally indulge in. |
IMPARTIAL:Very true From the ambience to the after shopping experience. And the fact that Kingsway dealt in high quality imported products |
Mariangeles:God bless you |
Truthseeker10:Who is a Christian to you?@Truthseeker You should know since your moniker defines you as a seeker of truth. Which begs the question what truth do you seek and what is Truth to you |
Zocalite:You have a point. I won't point out to an unbeliever to follow a religion but I'll point him or her to the cross. When we witness to the lost. We witness the saving grace of Jesus. We witness the need of the unbeliever to confess their sins. We emphasize their fallen nature and their need of a savior in order to get back to God. |
Truthseeker10:A religion follows a set of rules and rituals that must be adhered to. Christianity- True Christianity- is a lifestyle not just a religion as some Christian denominations have made it out to be. True Christians don't depend on a set of rules and rituals but on the words and principles of Christ Jesus |
Mariangeles:I'm grinning ear to ear for reading this. It means I made your day |
Vacora:That's Ben Bruce |
aov80:The street in that pic is Itire road abi? I used to live at Aborishade street and pass that way to my Primary School which was Adeniji Primary school. Bata Shoes were made to last. My mum bought shoes for us that was worn by five generations. I wore and outgrew it and pass it to my brother who passed it to our little brother then who passed it to one of our cousins who also passed to another cousin. Thode pair of shoes ended up with my Mum's baby sister's children who are now teens. A shoe that lasted more than 20 years without a tear or cut and very little wear |
ClassicEvilSpir:Know why? The mind of the average Nigerian of that era was to be a brother's keeper so the trust level was high. It showed in everything we had and did. The quality of products back then was very good including the locally produced ones. I still had plastic plates and bowls my mum bought for us in the 80s when we were kids and it's still usable without a fault. |
free2ryhme:I did watch the show. It was a hour show showcasing the latest shopping centres to visit at the time. |
nairalanda1:You didn't lie SAP really sapped us and lead us here. That image of Murray Bruce really got to me. |
Hello Guys, For our Retro walk I wanna take those of us Gen X into a time in our childhood when innocence was real and true. Kingsway Stores which was the first indegenous departmental stores that first opened to the public in 1948 alongside Leventis Stores. It was unique in every way by bringing a feel of London's West End to Nigeria. At the store you can buy imported items at affordable prices and there're so many fond memories of that era. My fondest memories was of my dad coming home with goodies for us like toy cars and water balls. It was the Shop rite and Ebeano Stores of the time. What led to its decline was the oil price of the mid 80s and the SAP sanction of '86 which led to a ban on imported goods. It's really a sad story filled with nostalgia. Let the images below speak for themselves and you'll see Future CO of Silverbird empire as a 7 year old kid on the lap of Santa Claus in Kingsway Store.

MaxInDHouse:What does the highlighted and bolded say about Christianity in your own words? Christianity is a lifestyle. A lifestyle of living a Christ-like life. The sooner you grasp this truth it becomes easy. There's a form of Christianity being practiced in the world and touted as religion. This is what makes the concept of true Christianity deviate from what it really is. I rest my case. |
LagosOrigin:I'm really shocked to read this! It means the original inhabitants are being robbed. |
Esthered:In their area, 13 year Olds are already mature. This is a place where 9 year Olds are already experimenting with sex |
I'd rather follow Jesus than the Devil who's a loser. I'd rather stick with whats certain than the devil who's deceptive and manipulative. We live in a world ruled by distractions of all kinds. Take religion for example. Every religion thinks that theirs is the way to God. Islam Buddhism Taoism Hinduism etc. To name a few. Christianity contrary to what many think isn't a religion. True we have the Catholics and certain denominations who make Christianity seem a religion but true Christianity isn't a religion. True Christianity is a lifestyle of Jesus Christ. I'd rather stick with Jesus because at the end of the day everything Will fail. Only the real and true will remain. |
The 2000s really were nostalgic years. Both for the Gen X and Millenials. This Gen Z guys really missed a lot. Will be sharing a new Throwback next week that will beat this one. That's the benefit of being a Gen X. You have alot of Old school things to fall back on than our so called Gen Z who think they're the coolest. |
99thEnemy:Those were the days of cheat codes and stuff like that. |
