Your above, the bold, precisely, is thoughtful for making it seem like God was in the Image of Adam, whom we presume had a body like yours. Yet, I bet you wouldn't agree that God has a body like yours, or would you? Was God made of mud too?

But of course you are just trying to weave your belief into the text which clearly states, according to KJV, that "God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them". And they were given the duty of rule, subdue and multiply, while Adam of mud was placed naked in a garden to tend it, and was paid less than the Image who's job was a lot more.

The thing is, those who brought you the KJV also believed for about 1500 years that Adam was the same as the Image of God. It's how they too were colonised by those who took the Bible to them. And so they don't see the truth themselves, the Bible was kept in Latin. But they eventually ate fruits of knowledge and translated it into their own native language, and their eyes opened so they could see that God had created two different forms of humans, one to rule, and the other to be slaves.

Pity is, instead of now spreading their own new understanding, they sold you their old abandoned one, and enslaved you with it, and here you are.

Now, what does all this have to do with the final destination of human consciousness? Well, we know that something called "entanglement" is the very center of all quantum processes, which means that human minds, and therefore consciousness, is entangled with the rest of the universe, so perhaps, when a human dies, his body might die but his consciousness could very well linger on.

Yes, it is possible to marry and avoid divorce if you marry the right person or a compactable partner. The Bible only permit divorce on the ground of adultery. Even as at that, it is optional if you chose to forgive and accept your partner on that ground.
Secondly, the hardness of the heart is a situation that cannot be easily dealt with. It is only God that can do that. To be on the safer side, marry a compactable partner or the right partner for you.

To start with, the image of God was created on the sixth day, while Adam was created after God had rested on the seventh day, so on the eight day at best.

The image of God was not created from mud, while Adam was created from mud.

The image of God was told to rule and subdue and multiply and be blessed, while the mud was told to tend a tiny garden.

The image of God was told to eat all fruits while Adam was told not to eat the fruit of knowledge.

I therefore put it to you that the naked ignorant enslaved Adam was not the Image of God, and believing he is shows one is not using one's own eyes to read, nor one's own mind to seek understanding, and show one who just believes what one has been told in order to enslave you.

This is where it gets a little and a lot complicated for there are many Laws to abide by before, a party can remarry eg. (He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. Psalm 24:3/Psalm 51:10). You must not be complicit in orchestrating a divorce nor did you prevent or frustrate reconciliation.

The circumstance must show complete innocence in that it is not that you put away your partner to acquire the new one.

Like your first marriage the consent of God needs to be sought and obtained.

The bottom line is Innocency and God's approval are the grounds of remarriage
